"Gooooooood morning! Where is our girl Miss Scarlett Grace Huston?" One of Scarlett's doctors, Doctor Ravi, comes walking into the room. He lit it up immediately with his huge smile and enthusiasm. But Scarlett wasn't feeling it. She hid behind Danny and clenched onto his shirt.

"Come here baby girl. It's okay!" Jessica says grabbing her arm gently.

Her doctor slowly walks up to her and waves hello. "Wow, you must be the girl I've been hearing all kinds of good things about. My name is doctor Ravi! Can you say Ravi for me?" He smiles

Scarlett slowly moves away from Danny. She examines the doctors profile... seeing the smile on his face made him less intimidating.

"Ravi" She says

"Great!" Then he stands up and introduces himself to Jessica and Danny.

"It's a pleasure to meet you sir. Jessica and I are more than ready to get our little girl the help she needs." Danny says shaking his hand.

"I'm ready too... One of our nurses is actually going to come in any minute now to hook Scarlett up to begin testing. We waste no time. While she is doing that I am going to take you to the conference room to meet Scarlett's team." He says politely. The smile never left his face.

Then, a few nurses then walk in with large medical machines on wheels, with multiple wires connected to them. Scarlett begins to panic seeing all of these machines entering her room.

Jessica rushes to her side to comfort her. She really didn't want to leave Scarlett's side, but this meeting was important.

"Baby girl, it's okay! The nurses are very nice." Jessica says waving to them

"I wants you! No them."

"Scarlett, remember when we said you have to be a brace girl? Well it starts now sweetie! Show everyone how brave you are. It isn't even that bad." Danny says taking her trembling hand.

"Hi Scarlett! My name is Susie, this is Donna and Janet. See these little wires? They have stickers on them! Do you want stickers?" She says

Scarlett nods

"We're gonna put the stickers on your head, Alright?" The nurse says

"Okay..."

"Good girl!" Jessica says as they put the net around her hair then begin to stick the wires to her head. They had done this before. The whole point of the test was to see what triggers the seizures through different rounds of scenarios.

The nurses talk with Scarlett and distract her which gives Jessica and Danny a chance to sneak out with the doctor.

He leads them through numerous hallways, stairs, and elevators until they reach conference wing. The hospital was huge. Doctors, nurses, patients, they were everywhere. When they enter the conference room it was huge. About four different doctors were lined up sitting down and nurses stood in the back. Jessica and Danny were shocked.

It took about twenty minutes for them to meet everyone. Then it was another twenty minutes of the doctors going over all of Scarlett's charts, records, history and home logs. Then, a question and answer. After that an hour had passed. Now it was time for the doctors to discuss their game plan.

"We aren't going to lie when we say that these few weeks may be the hardest ones of you and your daughters life. The first week we plan to do extensive testing. Today we are starting out easy. Testing her without seizure meds in her system. We want today to be a normal day for her. Playing, talking, watching tv, anything. Tomorrow is when we plan to make turn the nob a bit." A Doctor James Saundra Flynn says

"What do you mean by turn up the nob?"

"The testing will become much harder on her. We want you to be prepared. It will be hard to see. Towards the end of this week we will be testing different drugs. She will be a different baby for a while."

Jessica felt as if she was stabbed multiple times in the stomach. The pains she got suddenly were unreal. She felt so devastated. She knew this would be a hard visit, but hearing it made it much harder.

She begins to cry softly. Danny holds her hand and looks to the doctors. "And next week?"

"Next week is when we decide if surgery is an option. We will keep her on the diet, which she may not like... examine her closely, and just pray that there is a miracle." Another doctor says

"we want you to know that right now surgery isn't an option. But, we can't promise that it won't happen. We just want to try to avoid it for now. She's only so young." Another nurse says. She went about the situation in a much more gentle approach. Her tone was soft. It put Jessica and ease, Danny too.

"We've been dealing with this for a while now, it seems like forever. Epilepsy, it's very serious. I know people who have it, but their daily lives aren't affected like Scarlett's. I don't understand why.... she's only so little." Danny says

"It's obvious that she has a much more serious and aggressive type of epilepsy, sir. Usually any doctor can pin point what triggers it and stop it. But it seems no one can where you are. That's why we are here. To bring your little girl back."

After the meeting Jessica and Danny had a word with one of the nurses who informed them that Scarlett was fast asleep. She suggested they have some alone time, everyone knew it may be their last moment of peace because the storm hit.

The two of them walked up and down the floor where Scarlett's room was. Holding hands, talking, trying to clear their heads.

"Danny, I'm ready for this to all over over."

"I am too. I feel very hopeful that they can pin point all this and make her better. We made a good choice coming here." He says holding her hand even tighter.

"I miss little Wyatt too."

"Ahhh, that little stink. I bet he's having the time of his life back home. He's probably being so spoiled he doesn't know what to do with himself!" Danny chuckles

Jessica stops and sits down on a little bench. Danny sits down with her.

"Are you okay?" He asks

"I'm just very tired a little sick to my stomach. But let's keep talking about little stink. Do you think he'll want to come home?" She smiles

Danny shakes his head and shrugs his shoulders. "Who knows! My mom called and said that she, Dorthy, and our sisters are taking the grandkids out on a very special trip to the toy store and a movie." He says

Jessica grabs her chest and giggles. "I'm glad our little boy gets to have all the attention and special time for a while... with Scarlett being like this, I bet it's confusing for him. I feel terrible."

"Don't feel terrible. He doesn't know any better. And he's a big help for the little fella he is. This will all be over and things will be back to normal. Okay babe?"

Jessica falls into Danny's lap and sighs. "Okay."
