First Time
"Good morning!" Dorthy says running over to Jessica and the babies.
"Look at these sweet faces. Grandma is so lucky." Dorthy says lightly squeezing their cheeks.
Jessica gives her a soft smile. Wyatt held onto Jessica's finger while she looked over him. Jessica stayed quite just staring at him. She had so much on her mind with Danny.
"Jessica, are you okay?" Dorthy says
"Hmm? Oh yea I'm fine."
"Danny came home last night. Have you talked to him at all?" Dorthy takes Scarlett out of her rocker and holds her for bit.
"No, but we are driving up to see his parents today so they can meet the babies."
"Alright, well I scheduled an appointment for Scarlett. Is Saturday morning okay?"
"Yea, that's just fine. Thank mom, I appreciate it." Jessica sighs

That afternoon Jessica and Danny drove up to Stillwater to see Danny's side of the family. They had only met the babies over FaceTime so today was their first time meeting the babies in person.
It was a long car ride to Stillwater. During the beginning of the drive over Jessica and Danny didn't speak a word to each other. Danny then got tired of the silence and needed it to end.
"I apologized Jessica. What more can I do?" He says turning to her.
Jessica continued looking out the window. "Apologizes are beginning to lose their meaning, Daniel." Jessica snaps
"I don't know what more you want me to do! You've been picking fights and I hate it. I hate arguing with you. This isn't heathy. Whatever this is we have to solve it."
"I'm mad at you for not being there! I hate doing everything alone. I'm tired Danny. I don't get any sleep at night because I'm afraid to wake you up because you have work in the morning. During the day I sit in that apartment wanting to scream because I'm so overwhelmed. You spend endless hours at work. This trip was meant for us to have family time and enjoy ourselves, no work! I asked you to watch the babies for an hour so I could get wedding stuff for Sarah taken care of you. You lied to me and said you had work." Jessica rambles on. She then got tired of repeating herself and ended.
"My boss is very demanding. If I don't do what he says and I'm not there for court hirings and meetings I can get fired. If I'm fired then we can't live in our apartment or buy the things we need for the babies. I try so hard to be home. I really do. But the things you said to me, how could you say those things? You consider me a sperm donor? What the hell! When you were talking yesterday it made you seem like you don't like being a mother."
"I love being a mother. I didn't sign up for it to be like this. Where I do it all alone."
"You don't do it alone, Jessica! Stop saying that. This is all just blown out of proportion."
"Saturday night. I was planning on stopping in at the bachelorette part for a few hours, but I think now I'm going to spend the night. Maybe grab breakfast in the morning. You stay home with the babies. Then get back to me and let me know if I'm blowing everything out of proportion."
They pull into Zoe and John's house. Jessica fixes herself in the mirror then looks at Danny sternly.
"Don't start anything here. It's your parents first time meeting the babies." She opens the car door and walks around getting them out.
Danny was so angry he just wanted to scream. He didn't know how things went from being so good to so bad.

Saturday-
Things were even more tense then usual between Jessica and Danny. They'd disagree on lots of things and argue constantly. Danny wanted an apology but Jessica refused. He had tried being helping to show Jessica that he cared.
Saturday was Sarah's bachelorette party. Jessica had lots to do that day. She had to go to the doctors, pump so the babies had food for the night, and finish getting everything ready for the party. Jessica was so overwhelmed.
After breakfast Jessica was getting the babies ready so she could go to the doctors. She packed the diaper bag and was getting ready to leave before Danny stopped her.
"Where are you going?" He says taking the car seats from her hand.
"Danny, don't do this. Just let me go." She groans
Danny opens the door and looks at her. "I was trying to help."
Jessica nodded and walked out the door.
He helped her pack up the car then stopped her.
"Where are you going?"
"To the doctors."
"Is everything okay?" He puts his hands on her arms and moves close to her.
Jessica steps back and nods. "Scarlett isn't eating right. I just want to ask the doctor what's wrong."
"Can I go?"
"No, I'll be fine." She says getting into the car.
"Okay, drive safe. I love you."
Jessica rolls down the window and gives him a soft smile as she backs up and leaves.

"Hello, Jessica Lange. Wow, it's great to see you. How long has it been?" The doctor walks in and happily greets Jessica.
"Long enough for me to have babies?" Jessica laughs
"I guess so, congrats. Aren't these little fellas pretty cute." He says peaking through their car seats.
"They are pretty great." She smiles
The doctor sits in his spinning car and looks at Jessica.
"So, one of your babies isn't feeling well?"
"Actually, I kind of made a lie so my mom wouldn't worry." Jessica says in a shy manor.
"Oh, okay." He sets his clip board down.
"It's more about me..."

When Jessica got back from the doctors office she had lots on her mind. She was very quite and didn't say much.
"How was the doctors? Is Scarlett okay?" Dorthy says when Jessica walks in.
Jessica was confused at first, but then she remembered.
"Oh yea, she's just fine. They said it may have been the traveling."
"Oh, well I'm glad she's okay!"

That night-
Jessica was getting ready to drive over to a hotel for Sarah's party.
Jessica had just finished feeding the babies, pumping, and getting them to bed. She took a shower then got ready.
Jessica wore a black cocktail dress and heels. She curled her hair and put on a smokey eye. Looking in the mirror made Jessica feel good. It had been forever since she had gone out and got dressed up. Jessica was scared to leave the babies for the first time. They had never left her side since the day she was born. She wrote out lists and papers for Danny incase anything went wrong.
"And just call me and I'll come home." Jessica says pacing around the guest room.
Danny came up behind her and put his hands on her sides. She ran them up and down then kissed her neck.
"Danny, not now." She whispers
"You look so beautiful in your dress." He whispers. He extended his foot and closes the door with it so no one would hear.
"I'm not in the mood. I have to go. Did you listen about what to do if they cry!"
"I did, you need to stop worrying.
What happened at the doctors today?" He stops her as she tries to leave.
"Nothing, Scarlett's fine." She says
Jessica walks over to the bassinet and leans over kissing the babies.
"By my loves. Before you know it I'll be home. I love you so much. Be good okay? I'll miss you." Jessica says in a soothing baby voice.
The babies start to squirm and smile at Jessica. She couldn't help but tear up a bit.
"Jessica..." Danny mumbles. He saw how heartbroken she was to leave.
"I'm scared to leave them."
"Don't be, we will be fine. And don't forget your pump in case you need it." He says handing her a smaller diaper bag.
"Thank you, I'll call you. Breast milk is in the fridge, heat it up but not too hot!" She says
"Have lots of fun and stay out late. You deserve it!"

When Jessica got to the hotel they were put in a large hotel suite. The girls were all hanging around the room until it was time to leave.
"Jessica, this is all so wonderful. Thank you so much." Sarah pulls Jessica aside and gives her a hug.
"You're the bride-to-be! I had to do this for my best friend." Jessica smiles
"It all looks great."
After settling into their suite all the girls went down to the bar for the night. They had different events going on.
Jessica had lots of her mind. She kept trying to enjoy herself but she couldn't. She thought about the babies and Danny. She constantly checked her phone. She hadn't had a sip of alcohol yet. She was too occupied to.
After being at the bar for a few hours Jessica had to pump. She grabbed her diaper bag and went into the women's bathroom.
She sat on her phone texting Danny with a cover over herself. The babies were asleep and doing just fine which was a relief to her. Jessica had the urge to cry all of a sudden. She did.
As she sat on the floor crying Sarah ran in.
"Jessica, are you okay? Oh my god!" She rushes to her side and sits next to her.
Jessica wipe her tears and smiles. "I'm fine, my boobs just hurt." She giggles
"You're lying..." Sarah says
"I know!" She cries even more
"Is it Maggie? She's a Bitch you know..."
"No, it isn't Maggie. It's me."
"What happen?"
"It's just lately I've been feeling so off and down. Things between Danny and I are weird. I've just changed so much. I decided to go see our family doctor today. I have postpartum depression. Out of all things I'm depressed! It's the last thing I need." Jessica laughs awkwardly trying to stop the tears.
"Oh honey, I'm sorry."
"I just feel so weak. What if all this time I've been the problem? What if I'm being a bad mother?"
"You aren't, Jessica. You are a fantastic mother. Listen, I was depressed. But I wasn't weak. I got help. You noticed something was wrong too and you got help. That means your strong, Jessica Phyllis Lange."
"I got a prescription to help. He recommended I see someone too. I've been so horrible to Danny all this time."
"That's good, Jess. And if you ever need to talk
I'm here."
"Thank you... and I'm sorry for keeping you away from the party. I feel bad. This is suppose to be your night."
"Don't apologize. Maggie is getting on my nerves anyways. Besides, I want to party with you! Why don't you finish pumping then we make this night one to remember?"
Jessica smiles and checks her phone one last time.
"Okay, let me just tell Danny I'm going to go."
"It's your first time away from the babies, huh?"
"Yes, it's the scariest thing!"
"They'll be fine. Danny's a good father."
"Let me dissemble this thing then we can go party."
"Will you get drunk with me?" Sarah says standing up
"I guess so!" Jessica exclaims

Danny's POV-
"Alright, it looks like mommy is coming home tomorrow morning. But hey, that's okay!" Danny says with a sigh.
He walked around the room holding both the babies. He tried to feed them but they refused. They just kept crying. They didn't want Danny.
Danny started to panic. He didn't want to call Jessica. He knew that she needed a night out.
Scarlett and Wyatt continued to scream and cry. "Shhh, come on."
A few minutes later Dorthy walks in to help.
"I'm sorry Dorthy, I didn't mean to wake you."
"It's okay, here let me take the little guy." Dorthy takes Wyatt and rocks him slowly.
"I never realized how hard it is without her." Danny mumbles
Dorthy looks at Danny and smiles. "She does a lot." Dorthy nods
"And she does it alone. I'm such an ass!"
"She's just going through a hard time. She knows you care. You just need to be there for her more."
"I mean it's only been four hours. I'm falling apart. How does she do it day and night? I love them Dorthy. I've just been working so hard. I want to give my babies the best life. I want to give her the best life. I want to marry Jessica one day."
"You don't need to explain yourself, Danny. I understand. Albert and I went through the same thing. It's all new and takes time."
