Three Weeks later-

"Jessica, I'm just so sad that you won't be home for Thanksgiving! Not having you or the grand babies is going to be so hard for me! And Sarah called, she isn't coming either! Now tell me, who are you going to see in Montana?" Dorthy asks. She was so heart broken that Jessica and the kids wouldn't be in town for thanksgiving.

"Uh- my friend. From college. You wouldn't know him."

"Him? Oh Jessie! You have to tell me who!"

"No mom... I meant her. Her! My friend.... uh.... Maggie." She hesitates

Jessica didn't want anyone to know that her and Sam were taking a trip together. They just started up a relationship again. She wanted to wait. And keeping it a secret made it extra exciting.

"Well... okay. I'll miss you."

"You too mom. But I have to go. Sam is on the other line."

....

"Hey, I just had the worst conversation with my mom. She was badgering me to tell her who I was going out of town with. I've never lied so much in my life! Gosh, I'm terrible!" She rambles on

"Slow down... slow down. Honey, it's fine. We will have a lot of fun. I just had to call my mom too."

Jessica sighs then smiles to herself. "Honey... I love that word coming from your mouth."

"You do?" Sam chuckles

"I don't know why... but it makes me feel so safe."

"I'm glad. I'll be over at six to pick you up to head to the airport." Sam smiles

"Okay. I should go spend my time with my babies and get them packed. Daniel will be here in an hour."

"Okay, Scarlett, Wyatt, do you think you have enough toys?" Jessica says as she tried to zip their carry-ons

"Ahh, I do." Wyatt smiles

Jessica chuckles "I'm going to miss my monkeys. You'll be good for daddy, right?"

"Yeah" Scarlett smiles giving Jessica a big hug

Jessica never realized how hard it was going to be to be away from them for a week and a half. Jessica just wanted them forever in her home so she could cuddle and love them at any moment in time. And leaving Jack was going to be just as hard for her.

She knew they would be in good hands. Danny was better now, he'd be surrounded by family. He deserved this time alone with the kids.

"You two are going to visit where you guys grew up as little babies!" Jessica smiles

"Really?" Wyatt exclaims

"Yes! You two will love it! Daddy sent me all kinds of pictures of your awesome rooms!"

"Ma-ma!" Jack cries

Jessica rushes over to her fussy baby and gives him a hug and holds him in her arms.

"Awww, did you bump your head little guy?" She says

"Mommy! Daddy here!" Scarlett says looking outside the condo.

Danny lets himself in and smiles. He was so ready for this moment to prove to Jessica that he was responsible and good enough.

"Hey kiddos!" He says as the twins run into his arms. Jack was still screaming.

"Hey, what's happening in here?"

"I was saying my goodbyes and little Jack bumped his head."

"Let me try to calm him down."

"No!" Jessica snaps

Danny backs off and the room goes quite

"Just give me time? Okay?" She cries as she leaves the room

"Dada?" Wyatt says, concerned for his mother

"You two wait here."

Danny goes into Jessica's room where she sobs, holding her baby.

"Jess.... I didn't think it would be this hard."

"No, I'm sorry. I just needed him in my arms." She cries

"Look at you, you're sobbing." He says sitting next to her.

"It's just because thinking about them not being home for almost two weeks makes my stomach turn."

"They'll be okay. They have me."

Jessica nods her head and wipes her tears as Jack calms down.

"No Erin?"

"No..." Danny whispers

"Everything okay?"

"She was ditsy. Really dumb and too much like a drama queen from high school. And I cousins date her."

"Her being ditsy isn't enough. I was ditsy too."

Danny sighs "I slept with her.... while we were still together. I couldn't date her knowing that you know and, now that I'm better now, it's painful. Because I still love you." He says

"Danny, you can't say that." Jessica says

"I know. I'm sorry. I wish you could come with us."

"I have to stay here, for my mom." Jessica bluffs

"Okay. I understand. We should probably get going."

"Yeah... you should." He says as he takes Jack and leaves the room.

Dorthy's POV-

As Thanksgiving was just days away Dorthy was trying to get everything she needed before it was all gone.

Dorthy had Chase with her who was being a big help as Dorthy pushed him in the buggy.

"Grammy, goldfish too!" Chase says

"No, honey. Goldfish are a play date snack. When Scarlett and Wyatt get back. How about that?"

"Yeah. I'm gonna miss them."

"Me too."

"Oh my god! It's Dorthy Lange!" A familiar voice from behind exclaims

Dorthy turns around and smiles when she sees Jane Shepard, Sam's mom.

"Oh Jane! You look amazing! How has it been so long when we all live in the same town?" Dorthy says giving her a hug

"I'm so glad to see you. Who is this little fella?"

"Chase, Jane's son."

"I would have said One of Jessica's! He looks like her."

"He gets that a lot. Say hi Chase."

"Hi!" He smiles

"Well hello!"

"How have you been?"

"Busy busy! Probably just as much as you!"

"Yes.... but I have to say, Jessica won't be home for thanksgiving, she's going to Montana while the twins are with their dad in New York."

"No way! Sam is going to be in Montana too."

Then, Dorthy paused for a moment. She knew something was fishy about Jessica going to Montana, and she knew she was lying about something.

"Is he going alone?"

"No! Someone is meeting him there. But he was very secretive about it all. Men!" Jane Chuckles

"Jessica!" Dorthy blurts out

"What?"

"I think they went together! Jessica said she was meeting a girl names Maggie, but she doesn't know a Maggie!"

"Boy oh boy! I really hope they aren't..."

"Oh no..."

"We are on the same page here? That they should just stay business partners?" Jane says

"Yes."

Dorthy hated the idea of her and Sam dating again. It happened once, it was ugly, but it's over now. Dorthy couldn't handle Jessica going through another heartbreak or jeopardizing her business.

The airport-

"It feels so really." Jessica says as her and Sam tie up their shoes after security.

"I know. Let's go find our gate." He smiles

As they walk around the airport Jessica stops to check the flights.

"Look at all of these delayed flights. I hope Danny made it okay with the kids.

"I bet he did." Sam says putting his arm around her.

As they stood their looking for their flight, they heard a loud child behind them. A screaming baby. Jessica could recognize that cry from anywhere.

She turns around. It was Danny and the kids in the candy shop. Their flight must have been delayed

"Sam! That's my baby! I need to make him stop crying.... but I lied to Danny and told him I was staying home!"

"Oh shit... well just go, I'll hide."

"Jessica?" She hears

It was too late.

"Mommy! You coming?" Scarlett asks as she hugs her mom

"No sweetie...."

"Hey, Sam?" Danny says as she shakes his hand with a baby wrapped around him.

"So you did pull out the mommy wrap." Jessica chuckles

"He won't stop crying." Danny says as Jessica takes Jack out.

"Why you here?" Wyatt asks

"Yeah." Danny says

"Jessica and I are going to Montana to meet with customers. It was so last minute."

"I just found out an hour ago!" Jessica chuckles

"Your tickets must have been expensive." Danny says

"Yeah..."

Danny and the kids ended up having to catch their flight. By now, Jessica and Sam were on the plane getting ready to take off. Before they did Jessica checked her phone. She had a voicemail from Dorthy.

"Frick!" Jessica whispers harshly

"We are busted! Our moms saw each other at the store and they cracked the code."

"Jessie, who cares? We mine as well 'come out'. Danny knows... now your mom. Let's just forget about them for our trip and spend time together, alone." Sam says soothingly

"Okay..." She smiles

Sam slowly leans in and gives her a soft kiss.

"I'm so excited." He says softly
