Danny's parents were coming out in a few days for Christmas. Jessica spent the week while Danny was at work cleaning, shopping for food, and getting ready for the holiday. Jessica had never prepared a Thanksgiving meal. It was all new to her. Jessica and Danny decided to invite Sarah and Evan. Sarah and Evan were flying out for the week.

Danny was at work the day Sarah and Evan were coming in. Jessica wanted to go pick them up from the airport so the babysitter came to watch the babies. Jessica was able to have a small gap of time to herself before they came. She treated herself to lunch then headed to the airport.

"Look at my favorite married couple!" Jessica exclaims as Sarah and Evan walk up to her car with their luggage.

"It's great to see you. You look amazing, as always." Sarah smiles giving Jessica a big hug.

"Thanks for inviting us to Thanksgiving in New York!" Evan chuckles

"I'm glad you could come. I hope I make your first holiday as a married couple fun!" Jessica opens the trunk and Evan throws in the bags.

"We always have fun together. Let's get to your apartment so I can see those babies!"

"You don't want to stop at your hotel first?"

"Check in is at four. Besides, all Sarah's been talking about is those adorable babies." Evan wraps her arms around Sarah and smiles.

Sarah, Jessica and Evan went back to the apartment until the hotel started check in. Sarah wouldn't let go of the babies the whole day. She loved them too much. Danny left work early and his Thanksgiving break started. He brought home dinner for everyone so Jessica wouldn't have to cook.

"Danny, Jessica, do you two ever think you'll want to go on some kind of trip or something?" Sarah asks as she holds Scarlett

"A trip? Oh gosh I don't think so. Just taking those little ones to Minnesota is a big ordeal." Jessica leans on Danny's chest and giggles. He begins to rub her back.

"No! I mean alone." Sarah nods

"Alone? No!" Jessica laughs

"Well you should consider it. Sarah and I would love to watch these two for you. Even if it's just for a night." Evan bounces Wyatt on his lap and smiles at him.

"Maybe we'll take you up on the offer once the babies start formula." Danny nods

"That's so kind, but I could never ask you two to do that. That's a lot to ask."

"We offered, we are asking you!"

"Maybe." Jessica says waving to Scarlett. She had her eyes locked on Jessica.

The night before thanksgiving-

Jessica and Danny slept peacefully in their bed. The babies were right beside Jessica in their bassinets. Jessica was so tired from preparing for thanksgiving, picking up Danny's family, and cleaning up the apartment for dinner. While Jessica was in a deep sleep Scarlett woke up screaming and crying for Jessica.

Jessica rolled over and shook Danny's body to wake him up. "Danny, can you please see if she needs a diaper change? I need to get rest for tomorrow." She groans

"Sure, baby."

Jessica tries to fall back asleep while Danny changes her. Right as he goes to lay back down Wyatt cries again which causes Scarlett to cry.

Jessica covers her face with the pillow and sighs. When both babies are up it's a two man job.

Danny turned on the lights and changed Wyatt while Scarlett lays on Jessica's chest.

"You little ones need to learn the concept of a full nights rest. Waking up every two hours isn't right. It's unfair to us!" Jessica says to her as she continues to fuss.

3am-

Jessica had been up with the babies for another three hours feeding them off and on. They slept on her chest in the rocking chair. They refused to detach from her.

"I guess this is another sleepless night going on the list." She mumbles to herself. She looks down at the babies who held each other's hands.

"It's all worth it, though." She adds then gazes over at Danny who was sleeping in the bed.

Around four Jessica was able to put them in their bassinets. When she did she hoped into bed and fell asleep.

Little did she know, thirty minutes later her alarm would go off at five to start the turkey.

Jessica was up all day juggling taking care of the babies and cooking everything for dinner. She was beyond stressed and sleep deprived. She had no time to rest or just sit down and cool off. She was running around like crazy.

"I'm sorry you didn't get much sleep last night." Danny rubs up against Jessica's back side and kisses her neck.

Jessica moves closer to the counter to move away from Danny and slaps his wrist.

"Hey!" He exclaims, backing away from her.

"Not now." She shuts him out and mashes the potatoes.

Later in the afternoon Zoe, John, Sarah, and Evan all came over. Dinner was at six, so Zoe and Sarah wanted to come over to help Jessica. She was in an irritable mood but tried to brighten up when everyone arrived.

All of the boys were in the living room with the babies watching football while the girls finished the last of everything in the kitchen.

Jessica moved around quickly trying to get everything done in time.

"So Jessica, do you know when you'll be starting work again?" Zoe asks as she sets the table.

Jessica sighs and wipes her face. "January"

"That's great. I bet my sister is anxious to have you back. All she talks about is how much she loves you."

"She's so kind." Jessica smiles

John walks into kitchen with Wyatt in one hand and his empty bottle in the other.

Jessica looks at him and pouts... she felt like the only thing she heard throughout the day was screaming babies.

"I'm sorry Jessica, I just don't think he wants grandpa right now."

Jessica nods and takes Wyatt. "He doesn't want daddy either?" She whines

"I'm afraid not. But they both had their bottles." He says

"Great, thanks so much John."

He nods and walks back into the living room. Jessica holds Wyatt on her hip and continues cooking.

"Jess, let me take him." Sarah says trying to take him from Jessica.

Jessica turns her body away from Sarah and shakes her head. "No, I'm fine."

"Alright."

Jessica stands their quietly and keeps to herself.

"If you don't mind I'm going to use the powder room, I'll be back in a moment." Zoe say

Jessica and Sarah nod.

Wyatt starts to cough and Jessica holds him up to her face. "Oh! Little boy!" She says as he coughs.

Jessica holds him and pats his back. Danny then calls her from the living room.

"Hey Jess, can you grab me a beer?"

"No." She says

"Jess" he exclaims

"No, Danny!"

"Come on." He whines

Sarah walks over to the fridge to grab him one but Jessica stops her and stands in front of the fridge. "He can get it." She whispers

"Get it yourself, I know you're perfectly capable of doing so." She snaps

"Yeah but I'm watching the game. I don't want to miss anything. Come on, just grab me one please."

Jessica stares him down while he has his eyes hooked on the tv. John taps him to get it himself.

"I'm not your servant. I have to take care of the baby and finish cooking. Get your own damn beer!" She yells

The room went silent once Jessica raised her voice. Everyone had their eyes on Jessica and Danny. Zoe then walks in and clears her throat. Wyatt starts to scream and Jessica rubs her eyes in exhaustion. Before Jessica could do anything Wyatt threw up all over her blouse.

"Fuck!" She yells

Danny looks over and runs to her trying to help. Zoe and Sarah do the same.

"Eat shit, Danny." She glares at him and runs into her room with the baby slamming the door.

Danny sighs and runs his hands through his hair.

"Does it kill you to get off your ass and get your own damn beer. She has been up since twelve am while you either slept or watched the game." Zoe hits Danny on the arm and rolls her eyes.

The room became super awkward. Danny was embarrassed as ever. Sarah and Zoe went back to working in the kitchen. Danny decided to go to Jessica.

He opened the door and saw Wyatt in his diaper laying on the bed and Jessica in the closet wearing her bra. She was trying to find a new shirt. She had tears running down her face. Her hair was tangled and her body was sweating.

Danny walked up to her and she pushed him away. "Get off of me, you asshole. AHHH! You asshole!" She clenches her teeth.

"Jess, I'm sorry. I should have gotten it myself." He tries to grab her arm but she punches his arm.

He backs off and holds it in pain. "Don't touch me." She huffs

"... and you getting your own damn drink would have avoided all off this." Jessica wanted to say more but she was too tired to fight or argue with him.

"I know..." he sighs. He sits on the small love seat near the closet and covers his face.

"I overreacted and I know that... I haven't gotten any sleep. And you had the idea of having Thanksgiving here! I've been stressed!"

"Then why didn't you just say no. Why didn't you communicate with me?"

Jessica throws her blouse down and puts her hands on her hips. "Because Daniel! I feel like these last few months have been all about me and I've put you through so much. I just wanted to make you happy and do this for you and your family. That's why." Jessica puts on her blouse and sits on the bed.

"Jessie, these last few months are suppose to be about you... and the babies. You're a new mom, you do so much. With everything that's happened. I'm just happy we are together again as a family. Don't worry about me. Don't overwork yourself to make me happy, alright?"

Jessica breaks down into tears and throws herself onto Danny. He holds her and sways side to side trying to sooth her.

"I'm sorry, I really am. I think between you and my mom I'll be purple tomorrow. I've learned my lesson for sure." Danny says trying to make Jessica laugh... he did.

"I'm sorry, baby. My goodness I hit you hard." She chuckles

"You did, but I deserved it." He kisses her and rubs away her tears.

"I'll go dress Wyatt. You take a breather then we will have dinner."

After Jessica loosened up a bit things weren't tense anymore. Everyone was able to sit down, enjoy Thanksgiving, and have fun together. Once the night was over Evan, John, and Danny cleaned up while Jessica, Zoe, and Sarah sat in the living room with some wine.

"I'm so sorry about my little breakdown earlier. It all could have been avoided and I feel awful." Jessica says

"No, sweetie don't apologize. It's all okay! Tonight was great. Everything was great." Zoe takes her hand and smiles.

"Yeah Jess, you are aloud to breakdown. You didn't get any sleep and you put this all together." Sarah chuckles

"I appreciate all your help. I really do!"

The day was finally over but Jessica couldn't seem to close her eyes. Her argument with Danny today just brought up all the little arguments that they've been having.

"Danny?" Jessica whispers

"Yes?" He rolls over and puts his hands on her stomach.

"I feel like maybe next month when the babies are off breastfeeding we should take Sarah and Evan up on their offer."

"Really?"

"We've been arguing so much. I think between you working and me at home with the babies all the time we deserve a little weekend alone. I think we need a weekend to talk and work on our relationship. I'm tired of getting snippy and angry with each other over the dumbest things."

Danny widens his eyes and moves away from Jessica. "Oh, wow. I didn't know that our relationship needed working on."

"It's not that-"

"Are you unhappy?"

"No! I am happy... something is just off."
