He couldn't just let it happen without struggling for a bit. He had to fight.
We hadn't even reached the meeting room yet or I was already moved somewhere else. Apparently I was supposed to be with the other Luna's today. After Aericon – excuse me, my Alpha – gave me permission to go, I was brought to the Luna's suite close by. The maid that lead the way, bowed to me as we reached the door. "I can't go any further than this, Miss. It is a Luna's place only to go through these doors when other Luna's are present," she said. "I hope you don't mind."
Silently I shook my head. As an answer she nodded and knocked on the door four times, her face smiling sweetly.
"Yes?" It sounded muffled through the door.
"I bring to you miss," she stopped and looked to me questioning.
"Micara," I whispered.
"Micara, ma'am," the maid finished.
The answer came almost immediately. "Let her in!"
"Hello, Micara! Come in, come in," a young woman a few years older than me motioned for me to come closer after I shut the door. Shyly I shuffled forward a few steps to the middle of the room, where everyone could look at me.
"So you are the new Luna of the Sensus pack right?"
I nodded, my face scrunched up slightly. "Sort of, I think?"
The girl started laughing loudly, her dark coloured hair shaking around as here head moved up and down. "Oh boy, another Luna with Alpha trouble. Don't worry, you'll fit right in. My name is Varya, I'm Alpha Noel's mate, the Alpha of the Iustitia pack, or in other words, the pack of Justice." She stretched her chocolate brown hand out to me, waiting for me to shake it.
"Oh come on, we don't bite, don't be afraid," she grinned sweetly while I walked over to her. "Good girl! Sit down, I'll introduce to the other Luna's here." I sat down on the sofa next to Varya, tucking my feet underneath my legs after slipping off my heels.
"Well, that is Elliot," Varya started, but she was interrupted right away.
"It's Lottie, really," a gorgeous girl smiled at me, her blond curls falling perfectly around her face. "My mate is Alpha Yves, Alpha of the Commutatio pack, which is, as you may or may not know, the pack of Change. Everything changes on a daily basis, including my mate's bedpartners. To be honest, I'm still working on that, so there is the evidence that you really aren't the only one with Alpha troubles. Although it is already getting better than it used to be."
I wanted to speak up, but Varya shushed me before I could even start. "Hush, you can talk about all of your problems later. Next, that is Livia, she is mated to Vir, Alpha of the Sapientiae pack, pack of Intelligence." The girl with pitch black hair with purple strands in it, waved to me, her smiling lips coloured dark red.
"There actually isn't much wrong with my mate," she said. "He knows absolutely every answer to every question you can even think of, so that is kind of awesome. It's just that the only thing he doesn't know, is how to deal with girls. I swear the dude was a virgin before I met him. Hell he probably hadn't even kissed before I kissed him."
"They actually are really cute together," Varya whispered loudly, making sure that even though she whispered, everyone in the room could hear what she was saying. She twirled her short hair around her finger innocently when she got hit by a pillow, thrown by a very irritated Livia. "You should see her and Noel really, you'd be surprised to know that they used to fight every day. Every. Single. Day. Right, Varya?" Livia smirked, and Lottie too had trouble not bursting out laughing.
"I used to be a rogue wolf," Varya explained, unable to stop grinning herself. "I lived in the woods of all packs, just enjoying life. Until one day I accidently set fire to the store I was shoplifting from, and then I got caught," she frowned. "No wait I said it wrong. I set fire to the store I was shoplifting from, and then I accidently got caught." Her face lit up. "Yhea that was it!"
By this time Lottie had started laughing out loud too. "Why do you say it exactly like this each time you tell this story?" she hiccupped, still giggling. Varya just shrugged as an answer.
"And as it turned out, Alpha Noel was my judge, and being mated to him was my punishment. He locked me up, put me in trees, made me swim for days to break my spirit, but he failed each time. Quite funny really."
"Most of all when he found out he could have spared himself the difficulty if he had just fucked her the minute he saw her," Livia said, sticking her tongue out to Varya as soon as she ducked away from the pillow that went her way.
Varya turned to me again. "It's true though. After he made love to me," She glared at Livia. "He turned out to be quite good at it, so instead of punishing my bad behaviour, he began to reward good behaviour. It worked really well, if I say so myself. I mean, I'm here now, on my own, willingly." She smiled at me.
"As you can see, we Luna's share our troubles each time we meet. It is our way of coping with our secretly stressful lives with secretly awful mates sometimes. Since you are now – or will soon be – one of us, start sharing! We have all been there – or are still there, good luck Lottie – so we might be able to help you."
After her speech the three girls just stared at me bluntly, waiting for me to start talking.
Oh well, why not?
I coughed slightly before starting the story the girls were obviously waiting for. "Well, I met the Alpha around three weeks ago."
I was already interrupted then. "Wait, you actually call him Alpha?" Lottie asked, gasping out loud. I nodded, my cheeks turning slightly red.
"He never told me his name, so I assume I can't call him Aericon," I sighed, the tips of my mouth curving downwards.
"Damn," Varya said. "Noel and I hated each other in the beginning, but we did call each other by our names, this must be horrible for you. Sorry for interrupting, go on."
