After Ratchet finished donating his energon Arcee and Smokescreen both went to Ratchet's living room while the medic rested in a chear near the berth where Knock Out was recharging.

A few minutes later a pair of ruby colored optics came back online.

"What happened?" Knock Out asked weakly still worn out from his ordeal and having to fight for his life.

"You were attacked and left for scrap near the Sea of Rust." Ratchet explained. "And you should take it easy because you lost a lot of energon and are still recovering."

"I remember but with the damage I received how did I survive without getting to the hospital for a transfusion?" Knock Out then asked.

"I donated some of my energon." Ratchet told him. Then showed the red medic the energon test results.

"By the Allspark!" Knock Out exclaimed in shock.

"That's what he said." Said Smokescreen from outside the door.

"Come on let's give them some privacy they must have a lot to catch up on and talk about." Arcee told the race car as they went back to the living room.

"This is quite a surprise." Knock Out then told Ratchet.

"I'll say." Ratchet agree.

"How is this possible?" Knock Out asked.

"Long before the war I fell in love and became spark bonded with a Valcitronian who was visiting Cybertron her name was Quick Dagger and we fell in love at first sight." Ratchet explained.

"But after the honeymoon she went back to Valcitron to say goodbye to her friends and family their before moving to Cybertron so we could start a life together but unfortunately fate can be cruel and had other plans."

"While your carrier was still on Valcitron the rust plague happened and the space bridge had to be shut down to keep it from spreading meaning Cybertron no longer had contact with the other colonies."

"I finally managed to rig a consel to call Quick Dagger and her family only to learn that the rust plague had killed all of them." Ratchet finished.

"The family who adopted me said some rescue workers found me crying as a new spark in the living room of a house that was being eaten by rust and the rust infected bodies of everyone else in the house hold." Knock Out explained.

"It was a miracle they found me when they did another few minutes and I would've been infected too." Said Knock Out.

"I'm so sorry Knock Out if I had known there was a sparkling I would have been looking for you and trying to get to you." Ratchet apologize to the red mech.

"It's ok it wasn't your fault you didn't know I existed at the time." Knock Out told him both of them were crying now. "And a nice family adopted me and now we've finally found each other."

"I just wish it had been sooner." Ratchet said gentle hugging his son who he didn't know he had till now.

"Me too." Knock Out agreed. "But I'm just glad we did find each other." "And I'd love it if you could tell me about my carrier I was too young to remember her." He added sadly.

"I'd love that too." Ratchet told him. "She was kind and gentle and she had a beautiful red paint job just like yours."

"Really?" Knock Out asked.

"Yes I'm embarrassed I didn't make the connection sooner." Ratchet said to him as the two smiled.

And Arcee and Smokescreen who had both been listening in smiled too happy that the sire and son had found each other after all this time.

"Wait oh scrap I forgot about Night Rain!" Knock Out suddenly said while facepalming. "She's the one who attacked me and she's Starscream's stalker and I think she has him."

Then Knock Out quickly explained everything to them. And after hearing this Ratchet secretly want to rip Night Rain apart with his own two servos for what she had done to Knock Out.

"We need to save Starscream there's no telling what that psychopath is doing to him." Knock Out finished.

Just then the Acid rain had stopped.

"We'll go get Starscream and make sure Night Rain won't hurt anyone again." Smokescreen told him.

"Yeah but you need to stay here and rest after what you just went through the last thing you need is to push yourself to hard." Arcee added.

"Don't worry as a medic I know I'm in no shape for a rescue mission." Knock Out agreed knowing he'd just be a liability in his current condition and knowing Starscream couldn't afford for anything to go wrong while they were trying to save him.

"In the meantime we can catch up." Ratchet told his son. And Knock Out smiled.

Meanwhile Starscream woke up and felt terrible he couldn't focus on anything and there was an IV attached to his arm and he was still strapped down on the berth so couldn't pull it out and he could tell it was pumping him full of drugs that were making him miserable.

The poor seeker could barely rase his helm up.

Starscream knew his situation was hopeless and he didn't even care anymore. Knock Out was dead and it was all his fault and if he tried to escape he was afraid Night Rain might hurt or kill someone else.

So Starscream just closed his optics to try to recharge feeling completely defeated.
