Starscream woke up the next morning when Night Rain came down the stairs.

"Good morning handsome." Night Rain chimed as she entered the room.

Starscream just glared at her.

"I brought you something." She told him. Then sat Knock Out's energon prob on a table on the other side of the room.

"Where did you get that?" Starscream asked nervously barley able to hide the fear from his voice.

"I had to kill that red medic after you lashed out at me the other day maybe this will teach you not to do that." Night Rain said to Starscream who was still processing what he was hearing.

"I left him to bleed out near the Sea of Rust just like I'll do to anyone who tries to look for you or take you from me." Night Rain explained. And never in Starscream life had he wanted to kill someone so badly.

"NO YOU MONSTER HOW COULD YOU?!!!" Starscream cried out at the top of his voice box.

"HE WAS MY FRIEND AND YOU KILLED HIM!!!" Starscream screamed at her as he continued to screamed at Night Rain and thrash against the berth. "KNOCK OUT DIDN'T DESERVE TO DIE!!!"

"He had a life and he was a good mech.." Starscream sobbed before losing his voice from all the screaming he just did but continue to thrush against the berth and lash out at Night Rain his best and probably only friend was dead and it was all her fault.

"I think you need to calmed down!" Night Rain hissed as she gave Starscream another sedative. The seeker was so angry and greif stricken he didn't even feel the needle go in. And only felt his strength leave him before passing out.

"I hate to have to do this Starscream but I can't have you losing it like that sweetspark." Night Rain said to the unconscious seeker as she hooked an IV to his servo then set it to a drip before leaving.

Meanwhile Smokescreen had asked Arcee to have a race with him since she was fully healed now and Smokescreen was currently taking a break from looking for Starscream because no one was having any luck finding the seeker.

The two were having fun until Bulkhead called them and said that he just heard there was going to be an acid rain storm and that they should seek shalter since the ground bridge was currently under maintenance.

So the two started to head back when Arcee spotted something and drove over to it then transformed with her optics wide. And Smokescreen drove over a few seconds later to see what Arcee had found.

"Oh scrap!" He said upon seeing what or who it was.

"It's Knock Out!" Arcee cried looking at the shape the Austin Martin was currently in. "Looks like he was attacked."

"No." Smokescreen said with sad optics. He and Knock Out hadn't started out on the best of terms but after the red sports car had joined the Autobots they had became surprisingly good friends and would sometimes race each other during their free time.

Smokescreen didn't like seeing the cherry colored mech in this condition. Knock Out was laying in a pool of his own energon covered in dents, scratches and cuts and leaking more energon by the minute.

But then they noticed one of his digits twitch but other then that Knock Out was unresponsive.

"He's still alive!" Arcee pointed out.

"He needs medical attention fast!" Smokescreen said knowing their friend didn't have much time. "But I don't think we can make it to the hospital in time without the ground bridge."

"Don't worry Ratchet lives near here and this is his day off so we'll get him to Ratchet." Arcee suggested. Then they started moving Knock Out as carefully as possible not wanting to accidentally add to his injuries.

After what felt like forever they made it to Ratchet's place and Arcee knocked on the door and Ratchet answer and after seeing what shape Knock Out was in didn't waste anytime and had them place Knock Out on the berth.

Then get his medkit and got to work trying to save the younger medic's life while Arcee and Smokescreen were both pitching in anyway they could.

Then they heard thunder and looked outside to see that the acid rain had started and it was a good thing they got Knock Out there and inside when they did because that would've added to his injuries.

"What happened?!" Ratchet asked while he was welding one of Knock Out's stab wounds.

"We don't know we found him near the see of rust." Arcee explained.

"It looks like we was attacked and either left or dumped there." Smokescreen added with sad optics. "Who would do such a rotten thing?"

"I don't know but the main thing now is to try to fix his damage." Ratchet told them. "I wish the ground bridge was working so I could get him to the hospital where there's better equipment."

"Couldn't we run him there while you work on him?" Smokescreen ask.

"Not with the acid rain and even if that wasn't an issue with his current condition moving him right now would be dangerous."

Then Smokescreen and Arcee waiting in Ratchet's living room while he worked on Knock Out.

Ratchet was doing everything he could for the red medic when suddenly Knock Out started coughing up energon and Ratchet could tell that the red spots car's body was going into shock.

"Don't do this Knock Out." Ratchet said trying desperately to get his patient stable as he continued to work into the night.

After several hours Ratchet came out and announced that Knock Out was stable for now but he wasn't out of danger yet.

"He's lost a dangerous amount of energon." Ratchet told them. "Normally we would do a transfusion with the energon we have at the hospital."

"But since we can't make it there right now one of us will have to donate some of their's but it won't work unless their energon type is a match." Ratchet explained. "It works the same way as human blood types."

"So all we can do is hope one of us is his type." Said Arcee.

"I have a testing kit." Ratchet told them.

Then they all three agree to be tested hoping to be able to save Knock Out.

Then Ratchet took a sample from Smokescreen then Arcee then himself and went back to his berthroom that he had turned into an emergency medbay to test them after testing a small sample of Knock Out's to compare them too.

Then Arcee and Smokescreen suddenly heard Ratchet cry out from the berthroom and both rush to see what was going on.

"By the Allspark!" Ratchet said with the most shocked expression imaginable.

"What is it?" Asked Smokescreen.

"My energon is a perfect match right down to the CNA." Ratchet explained.

"What but CNA is usually only the same if bots are related?" Arcee said now just as shocked as Ratchet.

"Yes and this close a match is usually only possible between a parental unit and sparkling." Ratchet told them.

"Woah so that means that.." Smokescreen started to say before Ratchet cut him off.

"I'm Knock Out's sire." Ratchet said still processing the information as he hooked up the equipment to donate some of his energon to save his son's life.
