Peter opened his eyes slowly fighting away sleep. After he won the battle he turned to look at the alarm clock, no wonder, he woke up ten minuets early.

He slowly stood up from his bed and went to wash his face.

"Dad I'm up." Peter went down the stairway and advanced to the dining area only to find Erza having a chat with his younger brother Taick.

Taick had sustained a serious injury during the attack on the Aldorado family causing him to lose his right hand and half of his right leg. His dad asked the SRA to make a robot hand and leg for Taick, they accepted but they had to pay 50000 shecs and supply some materials. Unable to pay, the Nomashi family offered a business deal with the Aldorado's and that is how they ended up living in the Nomashi homestead.

"Erza, what are you doing here?" Peter asked.

"So, is that how you say good morning?" Erza asked Peter expecting a proper greeting but was ignored.

"Hey Taick." Peter called out to his brother.

"Hey bro, aren't you going to answer her?" Taick asked Peter.

"Oh, you were here Erza." Peter pretended as if he didn't see her so that it will be easier to evade her lectures.

"Of course. Just take your bath." Erza sighed and dismissed him with a wave of her hand. "That boy." Erza sighed again which made Taick worried.

"What's wrong Erza?"

"Nothing, I'm just worried about Peter."

Taick cleaned his ears to make sure he heard Erza correctly.

"Come again?!" Taick asked in disbelief.

"You heard me, I said I'm worried about him." Erza let a sigh escape her mouth again and continued her talk. "He witnessed the death of his family members and watched you get mutilated..." Erza trailed off.

"Yeah, but I've got this." A part of Taick's robot hand disjoined from the rest of the hand and flew to a carton of milk and brought it back. "Really functional right?" Taick asked with a victorious grin on his face.

"Cool." Peter popped up from behind.

"Good you're here, now let's go." Erza started walking to the door.

"Goodbye Taick!" Peter yelled while running to catch up with Erza.

A silhouette stood in the Nomashi homestead's compound.

"Hmm, they survived, this is getting interesting, well they'll meet me in the JSU exams." With that the silhouette disappeared.

It was already break period so Barry decided to go to the library. When he was almost at the library he saw the newly appointed class representative.

"Hey class rep." Barry called out to Ash.

"Hey!" Ash yelled as she ran towards Barry.

"I was going to the library, you?" Barry asked her.

"I was going to practice my plant control, see?" Ash made a cage out of vines and threw it up with another vine. When it was mid air another vine sprouted from the ground and kept the cage up then a bunch of wooden spears emerged from right under the cage. All in all she made an execution ground.

Barry stared in awe then he gave a short sigh, she could already use her scroll, he was a bit jealous because he had to wait for ten more minutes.

"How did I do?" Ash's question snapped Barry back to reality.

"Great."

Ash fell on one knee panting, it was then Barry remembered his mothers words, using kekai is exhausting and if used too much it'll put a strain on the body.

"Ash, you are using too much kekai, dispel the technique." Barry told her calmly.

On hearing that Ash dispelled the technique. "Ok! I'm full of kekai!" She yelled.

"Ouch." Barry voiced out the pain his ears felt then he began to wonder, did kekai really make people stupid or hyper.

'Of course it does.' Dan's voice popped up in Barry's head.

'Really?' Barry asked his scroll spirit and began questioning why he was stupid the day before and hyper in the first periodd and now he is suddenly calm.

'No, it's just caffeine that is making you like this.' Dan's said.

                    Memory

The morning before school Barry had a crazy idea so he brought it up within his siblings.

"No, you'll regret it." Luke said trying to discourage Barry from the crazy idea.

"You know I agree with Luke on this one." Beryl supported Luke's point.

"Even if, I'll still do it." Barry eyes sparkled with determination. When the others saw this they gave in and let Barry go on with his idea.

And that is the story of how Barry took ten spoons of coffee with half a spoon of milk.

          Memory over

'Oh, he,he,ha,ha,ha.' Barry mouth formed an o in realisation then he burst out laughing.

"Hmm, Barry, you ok?" Ash asked,feeling worried.

'First he stopped moving, then he stayed quiet, now he is laughing out of the blue, what's wrong?' Ash internally questioned her self as she watched Barry laughing hysterically.

"Yo, what happened to Barry?" Peter asked Ash noticing Barry's laughing figure.

"Aldorado, he has been laughing like this for minutes now." Ash in formed Peter.

"Really? Barry, hello is anyone there?!" Peter yelled in Barry's ear but got no response apart from Barry falling.

Meanwhile in Barry's head Dan was yelling and screaming profanities at Barry.

"Ash gag him and put him on my back." Ash did as Peter said and they started walking towards the training grounds.

People gave them weird stares as they carried a gaged Barry who was trying to remove the gag with his nose which made Peter embarrassed.

"Hey! Ash is trying to use Barry to get Peter to her self!" A girl named Jung yelled and all the other girls turned towards Peter and Ash.

"Run!" Ash yelled and ran moving at top speed to escape the hoard of girls while Peter was tailing behind her.

Barry stopped laughing and started swaying causing them to fall giving the girls a chance to gain in on them.

Peter helped Ash up then stared at Barry while panicking internally until an idea popped up in his head.

"Ash, tie him up." Peter said in a commanding tone.

"Really?" Ash asked feeling reluctant to tie Barry.

"We're ten minuets late and we just reached quarter the distance and we have a horde of girls gaining in on us!" Peter yelled.

Barry started making weird noises and was soon cut short by Peter's punch.

Barry started his weird noises again and started swinging in his arms.

"TIE HIM UP!!!!" Peter yelled, if this were a cartoon his head would have started fuming.

"O-ok." Ash hurriedly tied Barry up only to turn and see they were all surrounded by girls.

"Hey Peter, Ash, you're late." Ben said having that arrogant tone in his voice.

Peter and Ash dropped Barry body on the ground mercilessly looking haggard.

"What happened?" Beryl asked worriedly looking at the two who were carrying Barry.

"That." Peter pointed to Barry who was still making weird noises.

"Oh, sorry it's caffeine." Beryl apologized in Barry's stead.

"Ah!" Barry yelled, he some how managed to remove the gag and the vines that tied him up.

"What happened?" All of them focused their attention on Barry.

"I can't see with my eyes closed." Barry stated his complaints.

"Really?" John asked.

"Yes." Barry confirmed John's sarcastic question.

John sighed and turned around, he had just worried himself for an over caffeinated boy.

Ash sighed, Barry wasn't going be normal for a while, and then took her seat beside Ben.

After a while, their captain came. "Hello, I'm Cole Riamul or Cole Nomashi and I'm the captain of squad eight."

"You're late, were you out on a date?" Barry asked the captain in rhymes.

Everybody blanched at Barry's stupid rhyme.

"What happened to him?" Cole asked.

"Caffeine captain, caffeine." Beryl answered dryly.

"It works like a machine. I make good rhymes, I'll try it along the times." Barry made another ridiculous rhyme.

"Ah I see." Cole said in realisation but Barry turned it to a rhyme.

"Cause you're in the middle of a sea, see!" Barry rhymed.

Cole ignored Barry's rhyme and addressed squad ten.

"Oh, squad ten, your captain is not feeling well so I'll be taking you for a while." Cole informed Ben and Ash.

"So, according to the data book Ash you can use plant control already, right?" Cole asked Ash.

"Yes, sir." Ash answered.

"Good, you'll be my assistant." Cole told her.

"Ok sir!" Ash yelled and took her position beside Cole.

"Ok, I'll be teaching you to use kekai, in short your scroll powers." Cole started the class.

"In order to use your scroll powers you have to connect with your scroll and pass the test." Ash continued the class.

"Test?" Joan asked.

"Yes test. You all know what a test is right? Mine was to watch my own death over and over along with the torture." Ash spoke in a grim tone.

"Ok, let's start, but first, where are your scrolls." Cole said. They all brought out their scrolls. "Good, now establish a connection." Cole instructed.

Barry held his scroll and closed his eyes and tried to connect. All of a sudden he started falling until he landed in a giant fighting arena.

"Woah." Barry walked round examining the arena until he noticed a figure standing at the end of the arena.

"Bartholomew Kirk, welcome."
