Is anyone else ever just so self absorbed in themselves and their own pain that the person who helped you won't let you help them because they know you'll think it's your fault?

Edit- Okay so this is from months ago, i missed the publish button apparently, but I have an update on my life if anyone cares. I am almost 6 months clean of intentional harm, I'm in a healthy relationship now (back off fangirls) and I don't think I've been this good in a while.
