2 moons later, RiverClan started pushing at SnowClan borders. The patrols found plenty of RiverClan scents on their side of the border, and fresh prey scents. Then one day, Hazelstar had enough. So she leaped on the Highrock and called "Let all cats old enough to catch their own prey join below the Highrock for a clan meeting." Rubypaw was surprised and padded over to join the Clan.
"RiverClan has pushed at our borders too much! Tonight at moonrise I am taking two patrols to attack their camp. One that will attack, and one to back up in case the first doesn't do well. The cats on the main patrol will be me, Aspenpaw, Hurricanewind, Foxheart, Briarflight, Pearlpaw, Rubypaw, Thornfur, Lilacheart, Heartlily, Stormheart, Starlingfeather, Windflame, Wolfheart, and Frostheart. The rest of the warriors and apprentices will join the backup patrol. Queens, kits, and elders, you will remain here with Sapphirepaw and Cherrytail. Clan dismissed."
The second the meeting was over, Rubypaw padded over to Foxheart and mewed "Do you think I'm ready?" Foxheart replied with "Of course you are ready! If you and your sisters succeed, you will become warriors with Aspenpaw, Birchpaw, Junglepaw, and Oakpaw." Rubypaw nodded and headed to her nest to get some sleep before the battle.
