Rubykit was shocked to hear the cries. Only her mother, her sisters, and the other queens and kits were in the nursery. Outside, there was fierce yowling coming from the clearing. Then she heard her mother leap into the clearing and heard her yowling. Rubykit and her sisters hid as the RiverClan warriors streamed into the nursery. Then she felt her littermates being knocked out. Then, Rubykit blacked out.
A few hours later...
Rubykit woke up. She looked around and immediately realized that this was not the SnowClan camp. She realized that she and her sisters would have to escape to get home. Anyway, they were almost 6 moons old, and they would be apprentices soon.
She woke up her sisters and mewed quietly "We are leaving tonight, and going home." Her sisters nodded, and too soon it was moonrise. Rubykit knew that the moonhigh patrol would pass by the RiverClan border at moonhigh, so that was their best chance.
Rubykit and her sisters quietly snuck out of the RiverClan camp, and headed towards the border. Then she saw the patrol. Lionclaw, Heartlily, Briarflight, and Windpaw were all on the patrol. Rubykit yowled "Here! Here!" The patrol looked shocked at the kits charging towards them. Briarflight grabbed Rubykit and hurried back to camp. Windpaw grabbed Pearlkit, Lionclaw grabbed Sapphirekit, and Heartlily grabbed Emeraldkit. The cats charged back to camp.
