It was spring break and all the students were buzzing, they all had a week off too go home and spend time with their families for Easter. Minerva was particularly happy because for the first time in all her time attending Hogwarts she will be leaving.  Albus had asked her to go away with him to his family cottage over in the Canadian North woods, and she couldn't be more excited.

  A week prior Albus had taken her to the muggle shops in London, much to her disapproval, to get a couple new outfits more to suit the below zero Canadian weather.  She despised when anyone bought anything for her but Albus gave her no choice, and she didn't want to hurt his feelings so she complied and picked out a few things for herself. One of her favourites included a dark green and beige tartan coat that tied around the waist, that came with a matching hat which Albus assured her she would make use of. Albus wasn't aware, but Minerva had spotted some lemon drops in a candy nook in the corner of a small shop that he had over looked. Knowing they were his favourite she discretely bought a few bags to bring and give to him when they got to the cabin.

"I will see you when I get back, hold the fort will you!" Poppy joked hugging Minerva goodbye. Minerva chuckled at her friends cheekiness and saw her off with a slight hint of anguish, she had always longed to leave Hogwarts during one of the breaks to go visit a family. Though that thought was quickly extinguished by the absence of that family and as the death of her parents flashed back into frame. She quickly shook the bad memory, she had no time to be sad Albus and her are going to have a magnificent time together and she would want to be no place else but with him.

It wasn't long before the castle was empty and Minerva was alone in her dormitory packing all her new things neatly into her suitcase. She refrained from telling Poppy about leaving with Albus, even though she was her best friend she was a terrible blabber mouth.  Poppy had trouble enough keeping the secret of her and Albus' relationship at bay, so Minerva didn't want to risk giving her another topic of gossip that could possibly slip pop up while engaged in conversation.

"Almost ready?" A voice thick and smooth as honey asked from behind her. Minerva, startled, jumped slightly and placed her hand on her chest.

"Albus..my word...don't sneak up on me like that!" she exclaimed as he walked closer to her grinning.

"Sorry my love." He said with a little chuckle as he sat on the edge of her four poster bed.

"Its alright, i'm nearly finished I just need to close-this-damn-thing-ugh..." Minerva huffed trying to close the zipper on the suitcase. Albus let out a little chuckle and got up from the bed making his way to the suitcase, he lovingly pushed Minerva aside and zipped the suitcase up with no struggle at all.

"Thank you." Minerva said smiling at him, Albus nodded towards her and heaved the heavy case off the chest it was resting on placing it on its wheels on the floor.

"Now, just let me get my coat and I am all yours to take!" Minerva said quickly pecking his cheek before disappearing around the corner in the room for a brief moment, she reappeared carrying her coat and leather boots.  "okay! ready?" She asked smiling.

"Yes!! but one thing first." said Albus pulling Minerva into his chest and pressing his lips against hers.  Minerva smiled into the kiss and Albus pulled away and gave a curious look as she began to laugh.

"sorry sorry..." she said waving her hand in the air as Albus raised his eyebrows.  "I'm just excited I suppose.." she said sincerely.  Albus' cheeks turned a slight scarlet as he let out a nervous chuckle, her smile and laugh always made him melt.

"Well, the floo in my office is connected to my cabin so if you're ready lets go!" He said smiling, Minerva's eyes lit up and she nodded her head.
