There is no doubt in it! I am holding onto the hem of Alpha King's shirt. I was thrilled with the idea of finding Mr.Hoodied-guy that I didn't notice the power he is emitting, the over-whelming waves of power an Alpha King emits that no matter who the person is would surrender and and there is also no doubt that he is Mr.Hoodied-guy. I am in trouble, aren't I? Without any delay I released my hold on his shirt and knelt on my knee bowing my head deeply in a show of respect. The only good thing in all my actions so far is that I never touched him or for that matter never even made eye contact. That is great because Alphas and betas doesn't tolerate eye contact. That shows disrespect to them and considering he is the Alpha King, Alpha to all such Alphas making eye contact with him would equal signing over my head off.

"Your Highness! Please excuse the behavior of your lowly servant." It was dead silent increasing my nervousness but I held still with my head down showing submission.

"Pfft!" He tied to cover it up but bursted out laughing, not the rolling over the floor laughing but melodious chuckling. It might sound weird to say this but he laughed Royally, every bit elegant. Of course he is elegant. Now that I think about it, the way he carried himself, the way he talked and the way he behaved all screamed Royal, even though he was holding back his power from showing it was all obvious. But in my defense who would expect that they would meet 'The Alpha King' during a morning walk? Definitely not me! 

"I am sorry Sunshine! It's been so long since someone used such formal language. Your lowly servant? Pftt! I am sorry! I couldn't control myself."

What is my answer supposed to be? Was I too formal? But I thought I needed to show minimum manners when dealing with the Alpha King. Was I too much?

"I am sorry...?"

"No need to be sorry! Please get up, you make feel like a bad guy bullying a kid." I got up immediately because it is better not to cross the Alpha King, but I still held my low so that I won't offend him. From the corner of my eye I could see the other person still kneeling and looking back and forth between me and Alpha King, of course he is not making any kind of eye contact with Alpha King, not even me.

"Evan, is it anything urgent?"

This is another thing that is different from my old pack. The Royalty here treats everyone with respect and seems to know the name of almost everyone working in the palace. I have to give it to them for their memory power considering the number of people working in the palace 

"No my King!"

"Then I will see to it later. You can go now."

"Yes my King!" With that he left and we stood in silence all the while I could feel his intense gaze on me but I didn't dare move or lift my head to look at him.

"I don't believe you were coming to search for me Sunshine." He asked finally after a long moment of silence. 

"I am to call your father for dinner, your highness."

"You can call me Knox." 

How can I? He is the Alpha King and I am..wait even my rank is not decided. But would it be considered going against his order if I don't call him by his name? What should I do? I don't think I am comfortable to call him by his name.

Knox's POV:

When can we meet our babygirl?

Night has been pestering me like hell to see how Sunshine is doing. It's not that I don't believe she isn't being taken care of but we can't seem to settle until we see her with our own eyes that she is indeed comfortable. And of course it's been two days since I saw her.

Damn long if I must say!

I know, it's not like I am intentionally doing this. We got another lead regarding my beta's son kidnapping. We can't seem to find where he is no matter what! We keep on finding clues due to our persistent effort giving us tiny hope but before it could even start blooming they all crash!  All the clues are leading us to nothing! It's like moving in circles in a maze. 

The motherfuckers are damn stubborn and clever! Not a good combination if you ask me! Moreover it was and is a perfectly executed plan. 

I know! I have a feeling that this is a much bigger problem than we perceive. And now with Sunshine in the mix we can't take any chances. If they know about her, that she is my only weakness it would not bode well for her and for us!

You are forgetting that she is our strength too! But of course I understand what you are saying! We must deal with this carefully and not protect our baby girl!

I couldn't help but smile at my wolf. Sometimes he says the cutest of things!

I don't say cute things! He growled angry making me chuckle. 

Okay! How about romantic?

I am not romantic but if it is for our baby girl I don't mind being romantic!  He grumbled.

Neither do I buddy! Neither do I! 

I will give her anything and everything. If she wants the fucking stars she will get the stars.  

I felt a light tug on my shirt and surprised I looked back. As if a wish being granted there stood my sunshine smiling heavenly calling me with the nickname she gave me. But as if coming out of an illusion the happy world broke when a guard addressed me as Alpha King and to finish the blow he is kneeling before me! 

Shit! We are done! 

I think the truth better come out at the start rather than later when she might feel betrayed. 

Yeah! Relationships should be based on trust! But I would have preferred to get to know her without all the titles.

He grumbled accepting reluctantly.

But she is not one to differentiate people on the base of  titles and power.

Yeah but babygirl is a humble person. I am sure she would treat us with respect.

As soon as he said she knelt down before me  seemingly recovering from her shock. She is almost grovelling before me, her neck bared in submission.

  "Your Highness! Please excuse the behavior of your lowly servant."  

Yup! There is the wall of titles of between us! All the best Knox! You should break down that wall of titles now!

Um..we are in this kind of together you know?

Nope! You are on your own! My way is to bite on that pretty neck she is showing us freely and mark her as ours for life!

Ever the barbaric Night!

If you forgot I am an animal by nature! My ways are simple and straightforward! I don't complicate things like you!

You  sure have an easy life! May be we should do it? Damn it Night! You are corrupting me! That is not how it should be done! 

Instead of arguing with me shouldn't you answer her? Baby girl thinks she did something wrong. She is kneeling and submitting to us as if she did something wrong? And lowly servant? When did we last hear it? In the 1800s or 1900s? 

Thinking about I couldn't help but laugh hearing what she said. It was somehow very funny, particularly with how serious she was! I observed that she looked bewildered since I was laughing at her but she held still not moving an inch.

Stop laughing at her! If she leaves your ass then don't come to me begging for help!

She cutely tilted her head making her all the more adorable.

Night! Please! We are yet to make her ours!

Then make her ours already!

I really can't argue with him! We can go on for days without reaching a conclusion. Let's first focus on Sunshine first!

I missed her! I want to spend time with her!

I miss her too but we have our duties and responsibilities.

And we have that everyday! If you wait for problems to be solved then by that time baby girl will be snatched by others. Besides you don't meet with loved ones when you time! You make time for them and our baby girl deserves it more than anyone.  

You are right! As the Alpha King there is one issue or the other everyday.

I am always right! 

"Evan, is it anything urgent?"

"No my King!"

"Then I will see to it later. You can go now."

"Yes my King!" With that he left and unconsciously I stared at her ingraining her image in my mind since it's been two days since the last time I was with her. But I noticed that she was very stiff and didn't dare move or lift her head to look at me. I know that it is a sign of respect and that looking into the eyes of an Alpha can be considered as disrespect but still it hurts. She is not like the others. She is very special to me.

"I don't believe you were coming to search for me Sunshine." I asked in an attempt to break the silence.

"I am to call your father for dinner, your highness."

"You can call me Knox." I corrected immediately to lessen the distance between us but I can see her inner conflict.

"Let's get him and we shall head to dinner, shall we?" I changed the topic because I didn't want to put her on the spot. We have a lot of time to coax her.

My dad raised an eyebrow when we arrived together but said nothing. We soon arrived at the dining room with me trying to make a small conversation and her replying politely back in return.

"How is your stay here? Did you get used to the place and the people?"

"Yes." She answered giving me a genuine smile which made her look like an angel. "Everyone is very friendly here."

I nodded smiling at her.

"Especially your father and mother your highness. They are very kind people."

Why wouldn't they when you are mine? I have to admit that even if it was not who cannot like her? She is such an angel. But since I considered her as mine father and mother are showing extra attention to her. Like now my mom is smiling like crazy and her eyes are shining seeing us arrive together, talking and smiling. I am sure she is boosting up image telling her all kind of stories about me.

Along with our mom and dad our cook and his mate also joined us. They looked hesitant seeing us but stayed there greeting us respectfully. I am not a cold and ruthless man as the rumors says. Of course I am to those who deserve it, may be even more but I am polite with my pack members. But of course since I am their Alpha and King they have to show me respect and their wolves on edge not wanting to offend me but please me in any way possible. 

And the dominating nature I posses by nature doesn't help much and I am more subdued considering I am in Sunshine's presence.  Dinner was a relatively calm affair with Sunshine feeding Hunter. He is surprising a well-behaved kid and Sunshine is very loving with him. I wonder if she would be the same with our future  pups.

Yeah, I can't wait to see her round with our pups.

I just smiled since I too can't wait for that day. She would be a great mother. We were in the middle of dinner but Hunter looked sleepy and almost dozed off so Sunshine picked him up ready to put him to sleep.

"He looks sleepy. I will put him to sleep and come back." She informed us and left. I wanted to go with her but felt that it wasn't appropriate considering our present relationship. I consoled myself saying that she would be returning to finish dinner. But not long after a female scream was heard making us all halt in shock. Without further delay we ran there all the while I scolded myself for not going with Sunshine. What if something happened to her too? Please be safe Sunshine!

After arriving at the scene to say that we are shocked is an understatement!

What happened to make them shocked? Any guesses? Previously many people thought that Sapphire would be angry for Knox concealing the truth about his identity. But to be frank their relationship is not at that level. They at best can be considered acquaintances. They met twice and didn't have much time to interact right? So I don't think she would be angry at that! In fact upto the current point he never concealed him being Alpha King! It was just never brought up!

And I know I am very late with the update but things have been very busy lately! I will try to update regularly but then again no guarantees. Like I said I am very busy and am trying my best! Sorry for that guys!
