Marinette's POV

It was the next day. It was raining, again. I got ready for school and as usual, I said bye to my mom and dad. 

As I walked into the school building, I got weird stares.

Great, the half fake and half true rumor is spreading. 

I just looked straight ahead trying to avoid eye contact with anyone. 

"The same thing happened to you to?" A voice said to me.

I looked at the person who said that to me and said, "What do you want Lila?"

"Nothing. Melody ditched me too and told lies about me. Now the whole school hates me too. What did she say about you?" Lila asked. 

"She said that I pushed her, and she showed a 'bruise' that I gave her when I didn't."

"Dang, she told everyone that I made fun of her for dying her hair, Lavendar. She said that I also threatened her that if she ever talks to Alya, Nino and Adrien again I will show up at her house and kill her. I got 3 weeks of detention for that." Lila said.

I looked shocked. I thought Lila was a part of it, but it seems like she wasn't. 

"Do you want to expose her, together?" Lila said to me with a smirk.

"Why not?" I said to her while smiling. 

The bell rang and everyone started walking to their classroom. As I walked in the classroom, I saw Melody in my seat. Her and Alya were talking. 

I walked up to her and said, "That's my seat."

"Not anymore" Alya said, "Go sit somewhere else." 

Melody laughed when Alya said that. 

Lila saw what they did, and she grabbed my hand and said, "Let's go ditch these losers, Marinette." 

Alya and Melody looked shocked. Lila dragged me to the back where she sits. I sat next to her for the rest of the class time. 

I saw Adrien enter the classroom. He walked up to me.

"Marinette-"

"Make it quick," Lila said interrupting Adrien, "We don't need your hate too, so if you're going to hate on us, just walk away."

"I'm talking to Marinette." Adrien said, looking at Lila dead in the eye, "Anyways, Marinette, we're breaking up."

I didn't have anything else to say. I just stood there in shock. I felt tears coming down my cheeks. How the hell could he believe this liar?

"WHAT?!" I screamed, "SO YOU'RE BELIVING THIS MELODY GIRL YOU JUST MET OVER ME? HOW DO YOU KNOW ALL OF THESE THINGS SHE SAID IS TRUE, DO YOU EVEN HAVE PROOF?!"

"Well-"

"Walk away from us, now." Lila said looking at Adrien dead in the eye. 

I didn't know Lila would defend me even though I called her a liar which she was at the time, but right now we got a bigger liar to deal with. 

Adrien looked at Lila, then at me. After, he walked away. 

I looked down. I thought out of all people Adrien would believe me. 

"Marinette," Lila said, "Don't make Adrien make you sad. Prove to him that you don't need him."

Maybe Lila was right for once in a lifetime. I didn't need Adrien, Alya, Nino or Chat noir. All I just needed to do is expose Melody, and if they beg for forgiveness, I will forgive them, but not be their friend anymore. 

But I still had feelings for Adrien... 

"But Lila," I began, "I still love him."

"Pfft, please... there are other people in the world. Adrien should've been your last choice." Lila said back to me. 

I didn't say anything back. Melody was even worse than Lila! It's about time I solve a problem even if the school will hate me for what I'm about to do. 

"Hey Melody!" I screamed, "Can I see the bruise I gave you... or did it wash off in the rain?"

Lila looked at me shocked, "What the hell are you doing? This wasn't a part of the plan! If you want the plan to work good, then keep your mouth shut! You don't want to expose her just for your problems, we need to expose her so that she'll be so embarrassed and run away and never come back here! Her faking the bruise will only show that she only did one thing. We need to keep getting on her nerves so she can do more things bad to us and then we can expose her then boom! Everyone will think we're baddies and they'll beg for forgiveness! You keep talking right now then none of that will happen." Lila whispered.

"I have a bandage on it, Marinette. Stop trying to make everyone think that you're so innocent!" Melody said back.

I stopped talking. Why would I think that Lila doesn't have good plans? Lila is great at making plans so the whole school can hate someone, she's done it to me!

I'm just going to have to trust her for once in a lifetime.
