*Daryl's POV*

Where the hell were they? They were suppose to catch up and now I was really getting worried. They had Adelyne with them and I needed to see her I needed to.

"We'll lose the light before too long. I think we should call it" I told them holding my crossbow.

"Lets head back"

"We'll pick it up again tomorrow?" Carol asked.

Lori nodded.

"Yeah we'll find her tomorrow" she said.

We started walking back. I wanted to find Sophia but I also wanted to see Adeylne as well I was prepared to wait at the rail on the highway unilt they came back. I wanted to hold her in my arms and kiss her.

"How much farther?" Lori asked.

"Not much. Maybe 100 yards as the crow flies" I told them.

"Too bad we're not crows" Andrea said.

We all walked and then suddenly we heard screaming.

"Andrea!' Lori yelled.

She must have fallen behind a little bit adn we all ran back to where he screams came from. She was being attacked by a walker and suddenly we seen a woman on horse come in ad hit the walker with a bat. We all stood shocked. The woman reered the horse around

"Lori? Lori Grimes? Daryl?" she asked.

I stood speeachless who the hell was she. Lori came up

"I'm Lori"

"Rick sent me you gotta come now." She told us.

"What?" I asked.

"There's been an accident Adelyne's been shot. She's still alive but you gotta come now. Rick needs you just come."

Isntanly Lori dropped her bag and got on the horse. Oh my god Adelyne no no no not her. She was suppose to be okay she told me she would be okay.

"Wait wait-" I started.

"Rick said you had other on the highway that big traffic snarl?"

"Uh huh" Glenn said.

"Backtrack to Fairburn Road. Two miles down is our farm. you'll see the mailbox. the name is Greene. Hyah!"

And the horse took off woth Lori on the back. i started running back to the highway with everyone calling chasing after me. I needed to get to Adelyne I needed to be with her I needed to.

"Shot! What do you mean shot?!" Dale asked walking up.

"I don't know Dale all I know is this chick road up out of nowhere like Zorro on a horse and took Lori" Glenn explained.

"You let her?" Dale asked looking at me as I stpped over the rail.

"Climb out of my ass old man. Rick sent her she knew Lori's name and Adelyne's" I walked past him and over to my motorcycle.

Everyone followed me and I loaded my stuff on the back.

"What are you doing?" Glenn asked.

I glared at him.

"What does it look like? I'm going to go be with my girl" I told him.

"Wait wait just hold on a second" Dale said.

I got off my motorcycle angry.

"What?"

"We are spliting up again. We need to find this farm and reconnect with our people. But we need to get TDog there it's not an option. That cut has gone from bad to worse he has a very serious blood infection. We need to get him to the farm and see if they have any antibiotics or TDog could die no joke" Dale explained to us.

I went in the back of the motorcycle and tossed Dale forst class pain killers and antiobotics for TDog. We decided that Glenn would take TDog to the farm and I was going no matter what anyone said. In the morning they were going to leave sign for Sophia incase she wondered back so Andrea, Carol, and Dale were all stay but the tree of us are leaving. I hopped on my motorcycle without a scond thought and drove off. I had to be with my girl.

*Rick's POV*

I seen the horse running back towards the farm with Lori on the back. Carl stood up and I stood with him Lori was about to be here and she'd have to see Adelyne the way I did and it hurt. The horse slowed and stopped and Lori got off and looked at me and I ran upt to her and hugged her as she cried and Carl hugged us and we all went into the room where Adelyne was. Lori looked at her and sniffled

"Oh my god."

She rushed over to Adelyne's side just like a mother would and took her hand and kissed it. Adelyne's eyes were closed and her hair was over her shoulders and her bra covered her chest. It would've been an almost angelic sight if she wasn't on the verge of dying right on this bed. I took Lori's hand and she leaned into me and Carl sat at the foot of the bed looking at Adelyne with a sad look. She was his sister and we may not have given birth to her but she was our daughter. Lori stood up nad kissed Carl and walked out into kitchen where Hershel gave me a glass of orange juice which I drank.

"So I understand when Shane gets back with this other man-"

"Otis"

"Otis. The idiot who shot my daughter" she said leaning her hands on the back of a chiar.

"Ma'am it was an accident."

"I'll take that under consideration but for right now he's the idiot that shot our daughter."

I rested my hand on her back.

"Lori they're doing everything they can to make it right" I explained.

"Right. So when they get back you can perform this surgery"

"I will certainly do my best" Hershel said looking her in the eye.

"You've done this procedure before"

"Well yes in a sense."

I seen Lori's eyes widen at him.

"In a sense?"

"Honey we don't have the luxury of shopping for a surgeon."

"I understand that. But you're a doctor right?" Lori asked.

Hershel nodded his head yes.

"Yes ma'am a vet."

"A verterain a combat medic"

"A vertranarian" Hershel told her.

Suddenly I started to feel dizzy abd I fell over into the chair and Lori helped me and picked up the cup I knocked over and rubbed my shoulder and then looked at Hershel.

"And you've done this procedure before on what? Cows? Pigs?"

When Hershel nodded she shook her head at him.

"You're completely in over your head aren't you?"

"Ma'am aren't we all."

He was right? Suddenly I heard a rumble of a motorcycle and I knew that it meant Daryl was here.
