*Daryl's POV*

It made me feel better that Adelyne at least ate something it wasnt much but she did eat. I was shuffling around getting fuel when Rick came running up quickly.

"Daryl"

I looked over immediatly and he told me a herd was coming and ran to tell Lori. I immediatly ran to Adelyne her back was to me. I turned her and immediatly covered her mouth she struggled then noticed it was me and calmed down.

"Don't make a sound. Get under the car and stay there until I come get you alright?" I said softly.

Her eyes got worried and I ran a hair through her hair.

"It'll be okay just stay under the car."

I kissed her and she got under the car. I had seen TDog cut his arm and fall when a walker went to go after him. I ran quietly shoving and arrow through the head and bringing it to the ground. I put a finger to my lips and put the walker I just killed on TDOg and pulled one on myself and I met eyes with Adelyne as the walkers shuffled by. She covered her own mouth to silent her sobs. I gave her a look telling her it was going to be alright. It seemed all the walkers has passed and then we heard screaming a little girl scream. I immediatly looked at Adelyne who struggled getting out from under the car and took off. NO!

*Adelyne's POV*

Katie! no that was Sophia's scream, it seemed my body had a mind of it's own and I was crawling out from under the car. I took off running toawrds the screams, my heart was racing. I needed to save her. What happened to Katie was not about to happen to Sophia. i stepped over the railing and tumbled down into the woods. I got up losing my balancing sliding for a moment and then I started running. Sophia I need to find Sophia!

*Daryl's POV*

Shit! I got up helping Tdog and then ran to the railing where Lori was holding a crying Carol and everyone was standing. I shoved through

"Out of my way" I said running into the woods.

I was angry I told Adelyne stay under the car and she didn't listen to me. She was going to get herself killed and I was going to be without her. I didn't want to even think about that I cared about Adelyne to much to lose her this way. I ran blindly hoping I would see her.

*Rick's POV*

I was running looking for Sophia she was being chased by two walkers and I had to go after her. I ran and she ran into my path and I grabbed her and she screamed. She seen it was me and reached for my gun.

"Shoot them"

"No no. Those walkers on the road would hear it then there wouldn't be just two there'd be hundreds" I said picking her up and running.

The walkers were following us and I had to kill them but I coudln't without keeping Sophia safe at the same time. We came to a stream and I put her down jumping in and grabbing her holding her and finding a little place to hide.

"Honey do as I say hide in there squeeze in tight. I'll draw em away" I said.

Sophia shook her head.

"No no don't leave me" she whimpered.

I put my had on her cheek.

"Listen you don't get winded I do, I can only deal with em one at a time I wanne be able to protect you. This is how we both survive you understand?"

She shook her head in understanding and hid I looked at her.

"If I make it back run back to the highway back to the others. Go that way keep the sun on your left shoulder" I explained her.

That's when the walkers came to the stream I splashed them with an angry look.

"Come on" I yelled and the walkers fell into the creek ad followed me as I drew them away.

*Adelyne's POV*

i was running losing my breath but I wanted so desperatly find Katie, no no Sophia. Katie is gone Adeleyne you know that. It was just when I heard that scream it sounded like Katie's and it hurt my heart and for a second I thought it was hers. Even though it was Sophia's scream it still scared the shit out of me. I don't want Sophia to die the same way Katie did no I can't handle another heartbreak. My blood was pumping and my heart was pounding in my ears all I could think was finding her it meant a lot to me. I loved her too and she needed to be safe with Carol and I was going to makesure she was. As my feet kept going I was trying to clear my mind and that's when I ran smack into someone with so much force it both sent us tumbling onto the ground. I groaned in pain with the wind knocked out of me and looked next to me seeing Daryl wincing just as I was. I layed there for a moment catching my breath and Daryl got up and pulled me to my feet with an angry exspression. I started to run again but he yanked me back.

"Daryl let go"

"I told you not to get out from under the car" he growled.

"You don't understand Katie is...."

My sentence trailed off. I did it again, thought it was Katie I was running after. Daryl's exspression softened.

"Adelyne" he said seriously.

My hands started to shake and I wanted to cry and then Daryl pulled me aaginst him.

"I'm sorry, but look we have to get back up to the highway. Rick already went after Sophia. I know it scares you and it made you think Katie was in trouble. Look for a second I thought it was Katie too and my heart stopped but them I remembered. will you please come with me? I want you to be safe, come on let's go" he voice was softed.

I pulled out of his grip and looked into his gorgeous blue eyes almost melting.

"Y-you loved my daughter"

It wasn't a question. He sighed and nodded.

"Like she was my own."

Aww Daryl admitted he loved Katie like she was his daughter. but oh no Sophia had run off can rick keep her safe? who knows? stay tuned.
