We ran to the training room. Uriah, Four, Tris, Christina, a random boy, and a random girl, cheering.

"Candor or Dauntless!" The random boy yelled

Nathan walked into the room behind me.

"Hey." He mumbled.

"Who are those?" I asked.

"Four, Tris, Christina, Will, Zeke, Shauna, Uriah, and Marlene." He said as more people came in.

"Thanks." I mumbled.

"You're welcome." Nathan replied in fear.

"You okay?" I asked.

"Once a stiff, always a stiff." Nathan replied.

I scowled at him. He laughed. Everyone got seated.

"Instructors pick team members!" Zeke yelled.

Oh my God.

"Don't worry, Kat. I'm nervous, too." Nathan whispered in my ear.

"Who's going to pick me?" I asked.

"Everyone wants you. Personally, I don't know." Nathan replied.

"Uriah and Marlene, go first." Zeke announced.

"Kat!" Uriah yelled across the room.

I walked next to Marlene.

"Hello, first jumper." She whispered.

"Hi, Marlene." I replied.

Four called, "Nathan!"

Zeke called, "Matt!"

Christina called, "Derek!"

Uriah called, "Tom!"

Four called, "Sam!"

Zeke called, "Ethan!"

Christina yelled, "Elliot!"

Uriah yelled, "Sage!"

Four called, "David!"

Zeke called, "John!"

Christina called, "Joseph!"

Uriah called, "Two at a time now, Jo and Becky!"

Four called, "Dana and Louise!"

Zeke called, "Helena and Jennifer!"

"Janet and Ellia!" Christina yelled.

"Alex and Erica!" Uriah yelled.

"Chris and Natalia!" Four yelled.

"Tori and Vikki!" Zeke yelled.

"Amanda and Victoria, you're with me!" Christina yelled.

We gathered into our teams.

"Hi guys! I'm Uriah, that's Marlene!" Uriah yelled, gesturing to Marlene, "The reason I picked you guys is because... Number one, I fought over half of you guys, I wanted three more initiates, but for that reason... Never mind. Anyway, after Candor or Dauntless, we're having a prank war. Candor or Dauntless is a game where you ask someone a truth or a dare. They have to answer it, or you have to eat a jalapeño or kiss someone."

"Jalapeño!" I yelled.

Uriah yelled, "Who votes jalapeño?"

Jo, Becky, Tom, and I raised our hands. Uriah glared at us like we were crazy.

"Pansycake." Uriah mumbles.

"What the heck?" Tom asks.

"It's a dumb word." Marlene says.

"Are you sure?" Tom asks with uncertainty.

Marlene nodded. We joined the hinge group of initiates. Four looked at us.

Zeke said, "Uriah's team, Candor or Dauntless?"

"Who votes Dauntless?" Uriah asked.

I raised my hand. Jo, Becky, Tom, Erica, Alex, and Sage followed me. Marlene eventually raised her hand, too.

"All Dauntless!" Uriah screamed.

"I dare you..." Zeke started, "To have the instructors stand, and have everyone walk to the hottest instructor."

I looked at Becky.

"Jalapeño?" I asked.

"No jalapeños!" Zeke yelled.

I saw signs everywhere. Alex looked at me. Eric entered the room. Erica walked to Four. Natalia walked to Four. David and Ethan walked to Tris. Nathan was in the corner. I looked from Zeke, to Uriah, to Nathan... They looked so similar... Especially Nathan and Uriah... I just can't figure it out. I looked at Nathan, then Uriah, then Zeke... Nothing makes sense. What's going on? What here makes sense?

"Kat?" Jo asked, "Have a crush?"

"No!" I yelled.

"Are you sure?" Jo asked.

"Not on instructors." I replied.

Alex walked to Uriah. So did Vikki and Amanda. Louise walked towards Four. Jo and Becky stared at me.

"Hope for jalapeños?" Becky asked me.

"Yeah." I replied.

"Kat has a crush on another initiate." Jo interrupted.

"Seriously, Jo?" I asked doubtfully.

She stares at me with disbelief. I shrug in response.

"Oh my God, yes. Pick someone similar to the person that's in your head constantly." Jo said.

Nathan. Uriah. Oh my God. I know my crush now. It's Nathan. Jo walked towards Zeke and so did Becky. Nathan eventually walked over to Tris. I was the only one left. I walked towards Uriah. I looked around the room. The heartthrobs were Four, Tris, Christina, and Uriah. Zeke and Will also had a big crowds.

"I'm already taken." Uriah joked, "So is everyone else."

I looked up at the sky.

"No one could control me. No one." I mumbled ever so quietly.

"Tomorrow morning is your day off!" Uriah yelled.

I ran to the cabin. Becky was on my bed.

"Hey, Becky, Natalia." I said.

Natalia yelled, "Hey, Kat!"

"What's up, girls?" I asked.

"You have a crush on Nathan." Natalia bragged.

"No I don't!" I exclaimed.

"Jo! Alex!" Natalia yelled as she ran towards them.

"Kat?" Becky asked.

"Yes?" I replied.

"Four likes you. And Uriah. And everyone else... Eric has a crush on you." Becky said.

I was about to vomit.

"Disgusting." I mumbled.

"Curfew!" Uriah yelled.

Becky whispered, "Let's walk around."

I nodded. As soon as Uriah left, we crawled to the door. I bumped into something hard. I looked up. It was Four's metal box. No... It was Four... I started to run off.

"Kat!" Four yelled.

I didn't listen.

"Don't budge an inch, rebel!" Four yelled.

I stood perfectly still. Becky ran to my side.

"Oh my God, Kat. You're bleeding." Becky mumbled to herself.

"All because of the knucklehead." I said.

"You're right, Kat. You are a knucklehead." Four mumbled.

"You're frightening, knucklehead." I mumbled.

"Oh. I'm the knucklehead. Never gotten that nickname, before. Clean yourself." Four mumbled.

I held my nose and tilted my head back.

"I wouldn't do that if I were you." Four mumbled.

"I've handled them in my childhood." I said.

I vomited a pool of blood.

"Oh, God." I mumbled.

"Told you." Four said.

I started wiping myself with a wet cloth. Becky rushed to my aid. I held up my fist.

"Don't you dare." Four mumbled.

Becky lifted up her fist. We punched Four in the stomach. We walked back to the cabin and fell asleep. The next morning, we woke up to the sound of air horns. We ran to the training room.
