Unexpected Sorting

Both Moon Granger and Hermione Granger We're seated in a boat with a random third year. The third year had long black drifty hair and was slightly smiling forever. "Ms, are there..erm, books here?" Hermione asked. The girl, who looked much less like 13 and much more like 16 or 17 turned and smiled. "Lots. A whole ginormous library, bigger than anyone could imagine." "Wow." The Granger twins smiled at each other. "Are there...mean teachers?" Moon asked nervously. The girl shrugged. "Depends on how you look at it. Profesor Snape is often frowned upon, but if you think about it, he's the only person who would take the job, without him, we'd be missing out on some very important skills."

Moon sighed. "Is there a designated bedtime? I love reading for a long time and certainly hate when it's limited." Hermione huffed at the very thought. "Well, I advise a good amount of sleep, but there is technically only a time you must be in your dormitory." She replied. Again the Granger twins shared smiles. "I've heard that the twins are bad kids." Hermione's brought up randomly. Moon stared at her like she was an alien. "George is really nice. C'mon Mione, we've known them forever. Would you really believe rumors?" Moon inquired. The girl chuckled. "What?" Moon asked. "Do you mean the Weasley twins? I wouldn't protect them long, for all you know you could end up in Azkaban." They stared. "Where?" Moon asked. "Ah right, Azkaban, prison for witches and wizards." She informed them. Hermione gave moon a 'see, told you' look. "Whatever."

The rest of the boat ride had been silent after Draco asked his rude question. The twins seemed of communicate to each other through their eyes. Eventually the boat skidded to a stop in front of the castle and all four got up and silently got out. Draco didn't hesitate to run inside the hall with many others. "Im sorry." Ombré said, staring at the ground. Fuck Draco. This was gonna be a good year before he said that. "It's alright miss, not your fault." George told her. She looked up at him with apologetic eyes. "Thanks, I swear we're nothing alike, once you get past appearance." "All good miss, boys at that age are always pricks." Fred told her, he looked as if he were remembering himself being that age. He smirked. George smiled before continuing. "And miss, if you ever need a friend, we might not be up on many peoples list.." George trailed off and looked at his brother. "But we are big brothers, and we know how to help out, alright?" Fred smiled. "Okay sure.." Ombré dashed away.

"She never gave us her name." Fred stated. "Too nervous." George said, turning his head to look at his brother. Fred grinned. "I mean, we are charming." "Definitely." George agreed.

Ombré barely caught up with her excited brother. "Draco! What's-what's going on?" She stood, stunned. They were in a massive room, or...hall? Lights hung from the ceiling and groups of people were sitting at tables. "Do we sit?" Ombré asked quietly. "No, remember dad said as first years we stay here till we get sorted." Draco reminded her. "Oh yeah..." then a woman, presumably Profesor McGonagal stood near a very old man, who Draco snickered at. "Shut up Draco, I think that's Dumbledor..." Ombré whispered. "Oops." He said sarcastically, rolling his eyes. The two adults announced the starting of the sorting.
Many names were called but some stood out to the two. "Neville Longbottom!" Draco sniggered. "That's a horrible last name." He whispered to his sister. "Ron Weasley!" "Isn't that one of the kids father said stay away from?" Draco whisper asked. At that Ombré sent him a cold glare. "Draco Malfoy!"

Draco smirked and walked up proudly. He sat in the chair and the hat was placed upon his head, which it promptly slid over his head. Ombré watched her brother with excitement, but it was also gut wrenching because she was likely next. "SLYTHERIN!" The hat announced, almost the second it was on his head. Draco grinned and stood, McGonagal taking the hat off and looking at him with distain. Draco strutted towards the group of green and sliver robed students, and the Slytherin representative, who looked very pleased. "Ombré Malfoy!" Ombré nervously headed toward the chair. She sat in it, her nerves sparking. Professor McGonagal placed the hat on Ombré' head, which it slipped over her eyes, masking her sight. "Hmm..you seem different from that other one." The hat drawled. "From Draco? Father says we're both destined to be Slytherins." She said. "Hmm."

"You seem smart..you have destined potential...RAVENCLAW!" The hat was slid off of Ombré's head and she stared at the blue and black robes cheering students in shock. She didn't dare look at her brother. She silently rushed to the Ravenclaws, and hid in the very back. Luna smiled. "Ombré, we share a house." She said softly. Ombré just stared at the floor, gritting her teeth. "Doesn't do me much good right now Luna." She replied harshly. Luna nodded. "I know Ombré." She replied.

The sorting has started just a couple of minutes ago, and the Granger twins were stoked. Since they were twins it meant they'd get sorted right after each other. They didn't have to wait long either. Soon Hermione was called to get sorted. "Good luck. I just know you'll get Ravenclaw." Moon excitedly whispered. Hermione smiled and headed to the chair. She promptly sat and the hat was placed on her head, masking her eyesight, Moon frowned at the thought of not being able to see. She could see her sisters mouth moving but couldn't make out what she was saying. Then the hat announced......... "GRYFFINDOR!!!" Cheers echoed from the Gryffindor table but Hermione glanced at Moon with confusion written all over her face.

But before Moon could run over and tell her sister it was weird, her name was called. "Moon Granger!" Moon walked to the chair, less confident in herself now. They were supposed to be the smart girls together. What if only I make it into Ravenclaw, then what? Will Hermione be mad? She thought silently as she sat. The woman, Professor McGonagal Percy had informed them, placed the hat on Moon's head and it's covered her eyes. "Hello?" She whispered nervously. "Hello." The voice sounded like it came from all around her. "You seem interesting...a bit like, why yes, GRYFFINDOR!!!" The hat was taken off her head and rather excitedly, Moon dashed off to the Gryffindor table. "Right on!" George congratulated. "Best house, we promise!" Fred high fived her. "You look thrilled." Hermione scoffed. "I am! We share a house!" Moon smiled. Hermione's couldn't resist slightly cheering up. "I guess that's true."
