Plot- the plot begins in GoF. Madeline Trevino is a transfer student from Beauxbatons. At first, she and hermione are practically best friends. But Madeline doesn't like Harry and Ron very much because they are very lively and boisterous.

In this plot, Harry is very much like James. He's arrogant, loud and is very problematic. Harry seems to find Madeline interesting upon first sight and sets out to impress her all the time. Ron and Madeline become friends next because Ron ends up falling out with Harry and spends more time with Hermione and Madeline.

Harry, for once, actually talks to Madeline like a normal person and that's how their friendship forms. Harry and Madeline grow slowly closer and Madeline become attached at the hip to Harry now that he isn't flirting 24/7.

In OotP, Madeline joins the DA and this is where she and Harry ultimately catch feelings for each other.

Also there would be a really angsty moment where Ron or Hermione has left their jumper in the Room of Requirement so Madeline goes back for it and sees Harry and Cho kissing. She runs away and Hermione guesses her feelings for Harry when she finds her crying at the bottom of the gryffindor tower staircase.

The HBP is up to you, but their relationship flourishes and they get together. Madeline gets scared of Harry's obsession with Draco being a death eater, but she saw Draco that day in Diagon alley so she believes him.

Madeline also manages to stop Harry from cursing Draco, but ends up hurt in the process. Not badly, just a cut on her cheek. By the end of HBP, Madeline and Harry and going strong but Harry has a sentimental moment and says he needs to break up with her so she isn't targeted and doesn't get hurt.

Madeline agrees to Harry's shock, but the pair share a final kiss.

In DH, Madeline does NOT accompany the trio on their horcrux hunt. Instead, she returns to Hogwarts with Luna, Ginny, and Neville where they restart the DA. Luna is taken at Christmas. Ginny doesn't come back after Easter, and on the train ride back to Hogwarts after Easter, Madeline is taken for her mother's and father's work within the Order of the Phoenix. She is taken to Malfoy Manor where she finds Luna and is glad to be reunited with her.

Her stay at Malfoy Manor you can do sparsely, so you can write chapters with time skips until Harry, Ron, and Hermione turn up. Harry is happy to find Luna and Madeline are okay, but Madeline is devastated when she hears Hermione's screaming as they were close. When the duel happens, Bellatrix grabs Madeline instead of Hermione because she read Madeline's thoughts when she first arrived. She knows Madeline still loves Harry and Harry loves Madeline, so Bellatrix uses her to stop the duel.

Madeline rejoins the trio and follows them to Gringotts disguised as a death eater like hermione and they manage to break inside. She also helps them back into Hogwarts by taking them to the secret passage into Hogwarts. Madeline is reunited with Neville and the other DA members in a fluffy bit.
