Chapter Four

Spirit's POV (Percy's POV)

I frowned at the scenery. Everything was exactly the same as the day I left almost eleven years ago.

"Where is this place?" Ban asked lazily, sticking his hands into his  to-tight red leather pants.

"This is where Spirit was betrayed ten years ago." Merlin said, looking around the place.

I could feel my eyes change color. "Blue and red. That's new." Meliodas noted. I scowled at him through the gauze around my face.

I scanned the area. Campers were running around, oblivious to the powerful entities, watching them. That is, until the seven and Nico ran towards the middle of camp. They talked for about five minutes before I got bored and stepped past the boundaries. Every camper's head snapped towards me. The others followed behind me. "Who are you?!" Annabeth yelled, walking towards me while brandishing her dagger.

The rest of the seven, including Nico, followed close behind her holding their weapons. "I said, who are you?! Are you deaf or something!?" Annabeth yelled, now only a few feet in front of me.

"The question is who the hell are you to talk to him like that?" Ban asked, flicking dirt from under his nails. "and he's pretty much mute, stopped talking ten years ago."

"I'm Annabeth Chase, leader of Camp Half-Blood! And if he's 'pretty much' mute, he still has the ability to talk. So who are you guys?"

Meliodas frowned. "Well that isn't much of a warm welcome, is it?"

"Expecially to the captain!" Diane huffed. Oh yeah, I had been promoted to captain.

"Captain? Captain of what, your little group of weirdos?" Some new Ares kid sneered.

I held up one finger in a 'hold on' gesture as my team began to pull out their weapons. "But they're ignorant imbeciles! We haven't had some fun in a while." Merlin whined. Guy's eyes widened and lingered places they shouldn't when they noticed her.

"If Spirit says hold, we hold." King said, leaning back into his floating pillow.

I nodded in his direction. "You're boring Ghosty!" Ban whined. I quickly unsheathed on of my swords, swinging it behind me. I could feel it go all the way through Ban's neck. I wiped the blood off on my jeans and sheathed my weapon again.

"You bastard." I heard Ban mutter as the camper's eyes widened. I rolled my eyes in annoyance.

"Ban, his eyes are purple. He's annoyed at you." Gowther noted.

"My eyes are always purple." Ban said, rolling his eyes.

"Your eyes are more Maroon, actually." Gowther corrected.

"Uh-huh, sure, correct everybody why don't you." Ban said. I could feel my eyes flicker red and the campers that had saw it looked startled.

"Why do your eyes change color?" Annabeth asked.

       "Why don't yours?" Ban asked.

Annabeth's POV

After that guy in the tight red leather outfit's head was cut off, Ban, was it? I wasn't really surprised by much. Gowther and Ban bickered for a little while, Spirit's eyes flickering red and purple. "Why do your eyes change color?" I asked.

       "Why don't yours?" Ban asked.

Spirit spun around, his eyes a mix of purple and red. Ban's face paled once he saw Spirit wasn't happy. "Sorry Spirit." he muttered. Spirit turned back around, his eyes a light blue.

If he didn't talk, how did they communicate? Diane's eyes widened. "Hey, Spirit? You feel that?"

Spirits eyes turned white and I was intrigued. How does someone's eyes change color that quick? He eventually nodded, his eyes shifting into a light blue again, a little bit of gold mixed in. "Hey Escandor, how you doing? Long time no see." Ban shouted. I was surprised to see one of the Ares kids, the largest one, smirk. Then his form shifted.

He grew another foot, his muscles becoming larger by the second, his hair turning a darkish green while growing a beard just as green. "Took you long enough to find me. Who's this little muskrat you call a leader now? I thought Meliodas was captain." The guy, Escandor apparently, asked, walking over.

"He would have beaten Meliodas in a battle if Ban hadn't cheated in Meliodas' favor, so we all voted and decided that he would become leader.

"Scrawny creepy guy beat Meliodas? Isn't Meliodas more powerful than the Goddess Amber? Like, twelve times her power?" Escandor asked. Goddess Amber? What? (No I'm not making the name 'Goddess Amber' up because of my name, she's the goddess that told Ban that if he killed Meliodas then he could have Elaine back.)

"Hold up," Nico muttered, his brows furrowed. "Meliodas, Ban, Escandor, the Goddess Amber... That means you're the Seven Deadly Sins!"

"Seven Deadly Sins?" I asked, and everyone looked over at him. He nodded.

"It's rumored there are several layers of our world, one of them being Earth, another Britannia, right? The Seven Deadly Sins were the Britannia's strongest warriors ever and were framed of killing the Kingdom's best Holy Knight, Zaratras right? But it was really his brother, Dreyfus, who was jealous of his brother because everyone wanted to be a Holy Knight like Zaratras, including Dreyfus's closest friends and even his own son, correct? So the Seven Deadly Sins fled the kingdom. Merlin, Ban, Gowther, Diane, Escandor, Meliodas, King, but... I've never seen Spirit, and She-" he pointed to a muscular girl with two pig tails on each side of her head, really off-setting her look, "-She looks like Diane, but she's to small."

"To small? She's the size of Clarisse!" Piper exclaimed. Nico shook his head.

"No, Diane is part of a Giant Clan. They aren't like the Giants here though. They look like normal humans, just about thirty feet tall." Nico said.

Meliodas looked at him skeptically. "How do you know all of this?"

"I.. A while ago I slipped into the wrong afterlife, I think. It was covered in emerald looking stones. I wandered for a bit and asked around." Nico shrugged.

"And you didn't tell us?" I asked, slightly angry.

"It didn't seem like my problem. We had never had a problem with the Seven Deadly Sins or the Holy Knights, why get us worked up over it?" Nico asked. I sighed, it was a good logic.

"Well, now we do!" Piper exclaimed.

Spirit shrugged and nodded his head in Meliodas' direction. I knew who they were because Nico pointed them out as he said there name. "He wants me to tell you that..." Meliodas paused, listening for a second. "That we only came to investigate the major of source of power coming from here. It turns out it was Escandor, the missing Sin."

"Matt?" Clarisse asked, looking at him with wide eyes.

"Nope. Escandor. Matt was an alias." Escandor said with a shrug.

I looked all the Sins in the eyes. As soon as I looked at Spirit his eyes turned a deep, depressed blue. He adverted his gaze. "As for the Diane thing, I created a pill that allows her to be human size." Merlin said, picking at her pink nails.

        "That's possible?" I asked.

"Hon, anything's possible. Have you seen Spirit's powers? He can do anything, and WITH anything. We could cause an apocalypse with a potato." Merlin said.

Spirit rolled his eyes, which were turning slightly green and slightly purple. The funny thing is they were sea green, exactly like Percy's. "Well, we'll be taking our leave now. Ta ta!" Merlin said, waving her hand and disappearing in a flash, not unlike the gods.

Spirits fists were clenched tightly as he looked at all of us, his eyes now a deep, dark blue, so dark it was almost black. Ban leaned over him, looking at his eyes. "Uh, Mel mel? Ghosty's depressed again."

Spirits eyes took a sudden turn, now a mix of reds and blues. He grabbed Ban's hand and crunched it with a quick motion. They quickly turned blue again as he let go. "Ouch." Ban said, rolling his eyes as his hand reformed into perfect figure.

"Not even the gods heal that fast." Hazel muttered. Spirits eyes flickered over to Hazel, then his eyes started to slightly go fritz.

They were turning different colors, going a mile a minute. "Uh, uh, uh, Spirit? Spirit! Meliodas what's going on? Get Merlin! Gowther, why's he doing this?!" Diane yelped, waving a hand in front of his face.

Gowther hummed and snapped his fingers in front of Spirit's face. "I've made a conclusion." he said in a monotone voice, raising a hand and holding up a finger.

"Well? What is it?!" Diane yelled.

"He's in a flashback that he wont wake from for a few hours at least. Either we leave him here or stay here with him."

"We're not leaving our Captain behind, but I don't think he'd appreciate staying here. Gowther, you can mess with minds right? Can't you hack into his head or something?" Ban asked.

"Hack? Hmm, I supposed I could try." Gowther reached up and touched Spirit's temple. Spirits eyes settled on a color after a few seconds, which was light blue. He blinked and shook his head his eyes turning red, then shoved Gowther back.

His scowl was clear, even through the gauze. Gowther brushed off his shirt, which was very feminine for a guy. "You have very scary flashbacks." Gowther noted.

Spirit rolled his eyes, shoving his hands in the pockets of his black skinny jeans. The others were dressed in very weird clothing, while he had a.. Well, a Nico almost looking outfit. So Earthy outfit. "I think telling them would help." Gowther said, adjusting his shirt.

Spirit shook his head no vigorously, his eyes turning a mix of purple and white. "It will help. Take it from the doll. I've researched human emotions for many years. It will help." Gowther said.

Doll? Spirit glared at Gowther, but a defeated look glinted in his eyes. Why would it matter? We've probably never even met the guy!

He pulled down his hood, revealing jet black hair along with his purple eyes. He slowly, very slowly, unwrapped the gauze. He glared at Gowther one last time before unwrapping the last layer. Everyone in camp gasped aloud.

      "P-Percy?"
