CHAPTER FIVE. *Clears throat* Chapter five.
Annabeth's POV
Every camper stood frozen still, while Percy just stood there lazily. "You ready to go captain?" Gowther asked.
He looked like he was about to nod, but I spoke up. "Wait!"
Percy crossed his arms and glared at me. I felt like shrinking, but instead I stood taller. "Percy belongs to us!"
Ban looked around. "I don't see a Percy here. I see a man names Ghost who hates all of you though."
I glared at him and he smirked, looking amused that he had ticked me off. I was about to say something back, but there was a blinding flash and I closed my eyes. When I opened them again, I saw the Twelve Olympians, plus Hades and Hestia. "Percy, my son!" Poseidon yelled, then began to charge him arms outstretched.
Percy, however, did not look amused. He snapped his fingers and Poseidon ran into an invisible wall. "What the..?" Poseidon muttered, rubbing his nose.
"It's a force field. It lets no one but who he wants inside through." Gowther said in a monotone voice.
"But... Why wouldn't he want me inside?" Poseidon asked. Now I get why my mother hates him, he's so dumb sometimes. (Authors note- *Wince* Sorry uncle!)
"Because he hates you." Ban replied. Merlin appeared again, along with the other people who she took with her.
"What's taking so-" Merlin stopped mid sentence when she saw Percy's face. "My, it's been ten years since he's taken those wrappings and hood of. Gotta admit, he's pretty hot isn't he?"
I wanted to punch her in the face. "He's mine!" I yelled. Percy full out snorted and burst out laughing.
The others turned to look at him while he laughed, holding his stomach and his face turning slightly red. "Y-Yours!?" he exclaimed, then burst into laughter again.
"W-What?! What's so funny?!" I exclaimed in outrage.
"Ah, that was amusing. You nearly killed me, yet you think I'm still yours?" He asked, raising an eyebrow. "Oh, and by the way, check this out." he took out his sword and- Wait what? He cut his head off, but as soon as he did he disappeared and his sword fell to the ground.
"I knew it was to good!" Ban yelled at the sky. "Get your lazy ass out of bed you holographic jerk!"
"It appears..." Merlin said with a sigh. "He had tricked us once again with his holograms. I guess he really didn't want to come eh? Probably still in bed, doing whatever he does up there."
"Who knows?" Ban asked with a sigh. "I'm pretty sure he sound proofed his room."
"He did." Gowther supplied.
"Good to know plastic for brains." Ban said, rolling his eyes. There was another flash and there stood an identical Percy. With wrappings and hood.
He waved. "Is this one real?" Ban asked, poking Percy's shoulder. Gowther sniffed the air.
"No. Another hologram." Gowther replied.
Percy spread his arms in a 'What the hell!?' manner. "Oh sorry, was that not sharable information?"
"No because I want to sleep." Percy huffed. "I had to many shots this morning."
"You had one!" Meliodas argued.
"What do you think I was doing when you and my hologram left? By the way we need more of that... Uh... Hold on..." there was some shuffling and the clinking of glass. "I don't know what it's called. There isn't a label."
"The Fjun Whiskey? We had a full bottle before we left! I just got that!" Meliodas exclaimed.
"Uh, well, we're out." Percy responded.
Meliodas pinched the bridge of his nose in annoyance. "My god."
"We also need some more of whatever shot you gave me this morning. I may have drank all of that too." Percy added.
"You're going to die from Alcohol poisoning." Ban muttered.
"Not like you can say anything. You're the one that chugs an entire barrel of beer with each meal." Percy said, rolling his eyes,
"Excuse me, I'm immortal. I can't die." Ban said, crossing his arms.
"I killed you." King said lazily, raising his hand.
"Oh shut up. That was only because I let you. I knew Elaine would help me." Ban said, rolling his eyes.
"Both of you shut up, I've got a headache!" Percy yelled.
"Probably from you drinking two bottles of whiskey in under an hour." Gowther said.
"Gowther, just shut up."
"By the way, why are you talking?" Ban asked.
"I'm not. This hologram says whatever I think." Percy replied.
"But we heard bottles clinking." Ban said.
"That's because when you hear a sound you think it." there was some more glass clinking.
"Percy! No more whiskey!" Diane scolded.
"I'll do whatever the hell I want." Percy muttered. Err- Thought.
"You're going to kill yourself if you keep up like this." Ban added.
"No I wont." Percy argued. "I'm fine. I've done this before."
"Wait what!?" Meliodas yelped.
"Uh... Nothing?" Then he groaned. "Fine. I've done this many times before. On solo missions I had my hologram kill the thingies and I stayed in bed."
"And how did you drink?" Meliodas asked.
"He has a stash in the closet." Gowther said.
"Gowther!" Percy whined. "Ugh. Great. Imma go hide my whiskey. Be right back." there was a lot of loud clunking before a creak.
"Exactly how many bottles?" Meliodas asked.
"fifteen at least." Gowther replied.
"Gowther shut up. And there's only ten now."
"I checked yesterday. Did you drink five bottles last night?" Gowther asked. There was a pause.
"There were seventeen. And there's ten today." He eventually replied.
"You drank seven bottles last night?!" King exclaimed.
"Oh hush that's the least I've drunken all month. Wait, that isn't better is it?"
"What's the most bottles you've drunk in one day?" Meliodas asked.
"Uh... I think thirteen." Percy responded.
"Oh my god." Ban muttered.
"Hey, you can't blame me. The more whiskey the less pain."
"Pain? Where did that come from?" Diane asked.
The hologram laughed a bitter laugh. "Oh, who knows? I know it's not the fact that my girlfriend tried to kill me. Or the fact that my dad disowned me. Definitely not the fact that I was forced from the only safe place I've had since I was twelve. Nope." Another pause. "Make my total count nine bottles."
My stomach churned with guilt and everyone spun on the camper who had ruined it. Jared Lennon, son of Poseidon. (Hehehe.. No one will know who that is. But he's my... Enemy? Friend? Who the hell knows?)
"Oh yeah. My half brother who took all my fame. Not that I really cared about that. I never wanted fame. But he did take my friends, my family, and my happiness. Oh, and did I ever mention he's a spy for Gaea? And not really a son of Poseidon, but of Kronos? Hell, he's not even a demigod! He's a demi... Demititan? Who knows! All that matters is that he's a spy and you trusted him over me, for whatever reason. And Annabeth? I know you cheated on me with him. I knew the entire time, but I was an idiot. I was desperate. Now I know what a lying, cheating bitch you are, I'm ashamed of myself. Not for clinging to you. But for saving your life. Over and over. For thinking you really loved me. But guess who's still the idiot after all these years? Me. It's always me. I'm always the stupid idiot who knew nothing. Even after ten years of being away from everyone. You know what? Back then I was an idiot for you, Annabeth. I was playing your game so that you could have pride in yourself. I always remembered all the legends. All the monsters. All the titans, gods and giants. But I gave away all the intelligence I had so you could feel prideful. Boy do I regret that now. Guess your mother hated me for no reason huh?" He paused. "I'm out of whiskey. Shit. Guess my rant is over. Remember who you chose over me. A spy over your most loyal follower."
The hologram disappeared.
