Hey look not dead

well not yet at least

(Y/n) POV

"What do you mean no?" Peter said as we were back at the table "I already agreed to going on a job with you all, what kind of man would I be if I went back on my word?" I said and he sighed "This could be big, Nferia is also a talent holder but his lets him use any magic item without training, he's kind of a big deal despite him being so young and if word gets around that he has personally requested you and it went well you'd definitely rise through the ranks faster" Peter said as I started to mull it over in my head "Say Peter, would you all like to come along as a hired hand?" I asked and judging form their expressions I'm guessing they'd agree "With the eyes and ears of a ranger like Mr. Volve and the skill of a druid like Mr. Woodwonder, they'd be a valuable asset" I said and Nferia also seemed to like that idea "Very well, you guys are just going to be escorting me while I gather herbs and make some deliveries to Carne village, sorry it's not that exciting sounding" "No worries, we should depart as soon as possible" Peter said and we all got up to leave again "My cart is already outside, we can leave now". and so we left, the first quest to spread the legend of the adventurer (Y/n). 

The walk was rather dull with very little in the way of anything interesting happening, the rest of the group talked about experiences they've had in the past, near death experiences, fun adventures, all things that I used to talk about with my friends. Momonga, Touch Me, and myself were the first three in Nazarick. "Say (Y/n), we're thinking about taking a break over by the river, you good with that?" Peter asked as I nodded "That's fine". We stopped to let the horse rest and eat, since both me and Nabe were undead we didn't need to, besides I returned to my normal form and h the is would just fall right through me. "Is something the matter Nabe? If there's a problem eating it I could feed it to you mouth to mouth" Lukroot said making Nabe snap the spoon "Why aren't you to eating, it's necessary to keep up your strength" Dyne said taking another mouthful "It's apart of our religion, we do not eat meals in the middle of the day" I responded and Dyne nodded "Well, I suppose that's that". 

We finished our break and got back on the move "How much further?" Peter asked Nferia "Not much further, but this is the Wise King of the Forests territory" this piqued my interest "Wise king?" I asked and Nferia continued "Its a creature that lives around here, no one really knows what it looks like but some have said it has a serpents tail" and both me and Nave looked at each other, we were both thinking the same thing "Is it powerful?" "Yes, it has claws that can shred through any armor" Lukroot said and stopped suddenly "About time" he muttered "Multiple monsters coming close" he said as 15 or so goblins backed up by a few ogres exited the tree line heading for us. The group got in their battle positions, Ninya provided support magic for Peter and Lukroot while Dyne was responsible for slowing them down with his magic. I gripped the handle of my sword and drew it, the dark blue blade matched my armor as it glistened in the sunlight. Once the ogres got close enough I swung slicing one almost in half and carried my momentum forwards slicing another but vertically this time. A third raised its club up and tried to crush me but my blade cut through the club letting me lunge forwards stabbing it in the neck. "That was impressive" Peter said as I wiped my blade clean with the dead ogres skin, suddenly these creatures had a spark of intelligence and decided to flee "Nabe" I said as she jumped up in front of me "Lightning" she said as a bolt came from her pointer finger killing the rest. Ninya bent down and started slicing the tips of their ears off "Why are you doing that?" I asked confused "It's proof for the guild, they'll give us money for this" "Don't they just drop a crystal or something?" I asked thinking that they would drop an item like in Yggdrasil "I've never heard of an ogre carrying a crystal before" Ninya said cutting another off. 

We continued on for a while longer until the sun started to set and we made camp. Both me and Nabe sat staring at the bowls, since there was no need for us to eat "So Mr. (Y/n), where are you from?" Ninya asked and took another mouthful of food "A country to the south, I'm not even sure if it still exists, it was rather small" I lied "You seem pretty experienced, did you do some adventuring work before?" he said and I nodded "I used to with my friends.....but they're gone now" I said slightly depressed "You'll find others like them again, I'm sure of it" Ninya said smiling "No I won't" I snapped at him. We all sat in silence for a moment "Excuse me, I'll be eating over there" I said getting up "I shall join you" Nabe said following me to a bunch of rocks. I sat down and sighed "Is something the matter my lord?" Nabe asked "Just memories" I said remembering the first time I met the guild.
