Sometimes living with your best friend and former flame is fun but sometimes you see him shirtless and want to die. Welp and sometimes he walks in on you change and you feel yourself shrinking into your body when you were 10 wanting to be non existent.

~At The Apartment~
I was sitting on the couch and I was singing Charlie's song See You Again. I sat there with my feet up but Charlie wouldn't be able to hear me from the bathroom,
"Mackenzie! What are you doing?" Charlie almost yelled I stood up gasped,
"Charlie!" I yelled.
"I believe you should come on tour with me." He said.
"Charles no. I'm too shy plus I am still trying to build my own career." I said quickly he started walking slowly toward me getting close,
"I don't think that would hinder you, getting your voice and name out there will help you." Charlie said I sighed,
"I'm not singing alone." I said softly crossing my arms,
"Good we'll do duets since I do know you know every song by heart." Charlie said raising an eyebrow at me.
"Who said I know all of them?" I asked he chuckled and walked around me,
"You go shower now, go get dressed" he said.  I rolled my eyes and walked past him.

(First one)
I walked out and smiled, Charlie looked at me and smirked,
"What in the world are you wearing?" He asked as if he were my older brother. I rolled my eyes before responding,
"Clothes."
"Clearly not enough." He quipped getting snarky, "anyway. We have a recording session." Charlie said causing me to groan. I threw my head back as I grabbed a pair of white converse and walked out yelling,
"You suck Charles!" Before I got to the car and Charlie drove to his record label's office, we walked in and he looked at me,
"Charlie what did I say about visitors? No outsiders allowed." A grumpy man with an English accent and a suit walked up yelling at him,
"She's not some girl, she's my roommate and she's just here to watch. Maybe even sing for you." Charlie said elbowing me with a wink, the grumpy suited English guy huffed crossing his arms, I watched as the two had a Mexican stand off with Charlie smirking the whole time,
"Fine." The man groaned as Charlie and I walked in. I sat on the couch and as the song started I was singing along, the English man looked annoyed until I put a spin on the ending going up and down in pitch, different than Charlie.
"So how was it?" Charlie asked,
"What's your name go in there with Charlie." Grumpy said. I nodded and walked in and stood beside him,
"It's Mackenzie" I said loudly,
"I knew you'd sing along." Charlie said in my ear, I rolled my eyes.
"Alright, Mackenzie you're going to do a little background but you two bounce off each other." He instructed. I nodded as the music started again.

I felt all of my emotions release and I looked at Charlie he had the most sly smirk I've seen,
"Wow. Mackenzie that was great. I hope we were recording that because, that is the one we use for the video." Grumpy man said I grinned as Charlie picked me up by my waist and held me,
"You did it Kenzie." He said softly.
"Kenzie! That's gonna be your name, Kenzie, what's your last name?" The Grumpy man asked. I walked out of the booth and walked up to him and put my hand out.
"Kenzie Callaghan" I said with a smirk,
"Micheal "Mike" Harbor" he said shaking my hand and I nodded,
"Filming will be in a few months so I suggest you two go get closer, you're playing love interests." A girl said before looking at me quickly "oh sorry I'm Amelia." She said with a smile,
"Oh. So we can film right now." Charlie said wrapping his arms around my waist making me blush and lightly punch his arm.
"You're dating?" Mike asked, I laughed quickly and shook my head,
"We went to prom together years ago. He broke my heart, I flailed around here in LA trying to figure out what to do, I call him and he set me up in his place, some how, and excuse the pun, he always seems to be One Call Away" I said smiling. Charlie squeezed me slightly and I saw him smiling, he gave me a nod,
"You two will be naturals now go! Go relax and have fun for a while." Amelia said with a wink, I blushed slightly and Charlie and I walked out and went to the car and I sat down as he started the car,
"Wow. We just did that." He said with a smile as we looked at each other. I nodded grinning,
"I can't believe we just did it I've been dreaming about this for years." I said as I held onto his hand and we sat looking at each other.
"I think you should do a cover of See You Again." Charlie said with a smile, "if it goes viral they'll be surprised to hear you in my song." He added. I nodded as I locked eyes with him,
"I need you to play piano for me off camera." I said as he started the car, he turned to me,
"Deal."

Charlie drove the two of us home and started to pull up the song and practice on his piano. I set up all the equipment with shaky hands.
