Gumball's POV

"995,..996,..997,..998,..999,..1000!" I collapsed on the floor, tired out as hell. "Man. I'm pumped." I was doing my morning exercises in the training dome, Mystery told me to do it before I was sent on the mission to outer space. Just the thought of it gives me the chills. I kicked myself up off the ground and did my jogging. I know what you're thinking, why am I doing things that I could do anytime? Well Mystery does have his weird reasons like:

"It keeps you sexy."

"It helps to deliver the package right."

If you think about the second one it could mean two things. I jogged passed the entrance when I heard it being opened. "The Comet is landing in 6 hours." I abruptly stopped and whipped my head to face him. "What?! That long?" He chuckled. "Time moves fast in space. So it'll be like 30 to 55 minutes time."  Oh. "Oh! Well that makes perfect sense." He shook his head. "Save the sarcastic comments for later. You need to gear up." He walked ahead and took out a small black box. He dropped it and a holographic table with weapons popped up. "Whoa. Now that's sick." I commented. I walked to him and looked down. So many choices. "Hmm.. I'll take, this." I took up a gun that almost looked earthly/alienish and it materialized in my hand. "The Switch Ray. With that you can switch your weapon to either use lazer or fire. Nice choice." Sweet. I scanned the table again. Then I took up a....I don't know what it is. It looks like a grenade of some sort. "What is this thing?" I asked. I felt around it when I pressed a button and a blade shot out from the top. It was red and glowing. "What the what?!" Mystery chuckled. "A Photon Sword. Perfect." I laughed. "Awesome!" I pressed back the same button and the blade disappeared. I then chose a dagger. "Everyone's gotta have a back-up weapon." I looked at the grenade section. "Here I have smoke grenades, flash grenades, normal grenades, ice grenades, fire grenades, laser grenades-" I interrupted him. "What does the laser grenade do?" "Well you only use it for a very special occasion. Like when you're in serious shit and you want to get out of it. But make sure that you are out of range because it can take out a whole city." What the actual fuck? "I'm definitely taking it." I took all the laser grenades he has and a few of the others he mentioned. "Alright. Time for your suite." Mystery picked up the box and crushed it. "Don't need that anymore." He threw it away and took out a hand ball. He dropped it and smoke exploded from the fall. Then a table with an awesome space suite was there. I grabbed it and put it on. "I look sick." "The suite has two thrusters at your ankles and a jetpack just in case. Holders for your weapons, camouflage, rockets and a CD player." I was confused at what he just said. "A CD player? Why would I need that?" "Just in case you get bored on the ship." He shrugged. "Wait ship?" He chuckled and told me to follow him. I walked in a dark room and saw a blue spaceship. It was so cool. "Cool!" I ran to it. "This is The Star Gazer. This ship right here is filled with surprises." I hopped in and the glass slid down and closed up. "So many buttons, which one do I push?" I asked Mystery. "Figure it out for yourself." Then he left. "Alright let's see. This big red one looks promising but they don't usually work so....." I scanned the buttons over and over again. "Maybe this?" I pressed a blue one but smoke covered the entire place. "Smoke screen, OK." I pressed the first red button I saw but I heard the sound of something launching off and an explosion. The smoke blew away and I saw a huge hole in the wall in front of me. "Shit!" I quickly pressed another button and the ship whirred up. It lifted off the ground then the ceiling opened up while I went through. Then I pressed a yellow button and I zoomed off into space. "You're definitely fixing back this hole." Mystery's voice came from my helmet. I'm glad I'm out of there. "Yeah, yeah whatever." I took a look around. The deep never ending blackness of space was overwhelming. The faint stars, the colourful gases and the rocks were everywhere. "Wow. What a sight." I remarked. I still can't believe that I'm actually in outer space. "It's beautiful isn't it?" I heard Mystery asking. "Yeah." I saw a faint circular red shape way out in the blackness. "Hey is that..?" Mystery answered for me. "That's Mars." I continued to stared at it until I crossed paths with it. "Wow."  I focused back my attention on the conversation. "Have you ever been to space before?" I asked Mystery with curiosity in my voice. "Twice. The first was to find the Universal Domination Comet, second was the same." An awkward silence filled the ship and the other line. "Um.." I cleared my throat. "I guess I should just focus on the mission." I heard shuffling on the other end. "Yeah you should." I looked up and saw another planet, but this one was larger in shape and size. "Jupiter." I said. "What?" I heard Mystery asking. "I meant, Jupiter is up ahead." I passed the large planet, it took me a while but I managed. "Hey Mystery?" I heard a 'hm?' on the other line. "I wanted to ask you something." "Go on." I sighed. "How's Rachel? There was a long silence. "Wait here." Then I heard a beep. "Mystery?" I called but no one answered. "Oh great." About sixty minutes later I received an incall. "Hey." Mystery said on the other line. "Hey. Why did you hang up when I asked you how Rachel was doing?" He sighed. "You asked me that 4 weeks ago." I was shocked. "What?" Mystery chuckled. "Remember what I said about time moving faster in space?" I recalled it clearly. "Yeah." I arrived at Saturn with its magnificent rings surrounding it. I was confused. "Hey, why am I reaching the planets so fast? Isn't Saturn like 1 352.6 minutes away from the sun?" I asked. "That's the distance from the sun. And the answer to your question is that this ship is officially built for speed." I rolled my eyes. "Aren't they all?" "1 390 176.0 times more?" I couldn't answer that. "Thought so." In a few minutes I passed Uranus. "Almost there." Mystery said. I was building up with excitement. I really can't believe I'm doing this. "Buckle up, because we're in for a landing." I saw the deep dark blue of Neptune up ahead. I passed through the atmosphere of Neptune and landed on a type of mountain like area. The glass up above slid off and I jumped out and stepped on the icey ground. "Fuck!" All of a sudden I was extremely cold. It was like nothing I've ever experienced before. "Turn on your heater." Mystery said. I tried with trembling hands to find a button. "I-c-c-can't f-find a b-b-utt-ton." "Your suite is voice activated you idiot!" Really. "S-suite. T-t-turn h-h-heater on." "Heater on." A robotic voice said then I was engulfed in a warmth so relaxing that I wish I was on the Sun. "Much better." "Intruder!" A gruff voice screamed and I looked at the direction it came from and saw blue lizard looking men. They wore armor that looked like hard steel but dark blue. "Surrender now and come peacefully." I gulped. "You're in serious shit now." Mystery commented.

Hey guys! Another successful chapter with another successful situation Gumball has got himself  into. What do you think will happen next? Only I know.
