We're at the arena na. Packed.

Which is great, because apparently the first game after your entire life becomes public discourse is exactly the kind of atmosphere every athlete dreams of.

But I have to remember that nothing important to me changed.

I spent years carrying this as evidence of my inadequacy but Teo's still an idiot. Russ still treats me like an idiot.

My friends are still my friends.

My family still loves me.

My coach still wants me to do well.

And yet I spent years acting like this information had the power to destroy my life. Dr. Alcantara said I've confused privacy and shame, but she said something can be private without being shameful.

Now that I'm at that place where I'm learning to not give a shit about what the world thinks now, I'm going to play.

Hopefully I don't suck.
