The next day at work, Lily was nervous to step into her boss's office after what happened last night at the masquerade but she knew she had to face this head on. She slowly knocked on the door.

"Yes, come in!"

Shouted from behind the door. Lily opened the door to see Alastor reading his newspaper.

"Your report, sir"

She said quietly. Alastor didn't bother to acknowledge her and simply waved his hand.

"Just set it on my desk"

He said nonchalant. Lily sadly looked down, she knew she hurt him, but she didn't know it was this bad. She wanted him to acknowledge her, to look into his eyes behind his glasses and just to see his smile but she didn't get none of that. She quickly thought of an idea.

"Would you like some coffee or tea?"

She asked.

"No"

He said plainly.

"Do you want me to bring you some lunch?"

She asked one more time. This time Alastor put his newspaper down and looked at her with an annoyance.

"I don't want anything. You can leave now"

He stated sternly as he put up his newspaper once more for Lily wouldn't have to see the hurt in his face. He didn't mean to talk to her so coldly but how can he, he got his heart broken. Lily nodded before quickly rushing out of the room, closing the door behind her.

'I really hurt him'

She thought sadly as she made her way to her desk and sat down, burying her face into her hands.

'What am I gonna do?'

She thought.

"Uh hum"

Said a female voice. Lily immediately looked up to see a women with a beautiful dress and blonde hair and a large hat.

"Yes, how may I help you?"

Lily asked.

"The name is Rosie. I'm here to see Alastor"

The women said excitedly. Lily raised an eyebrow.

"May I know what business you have with him?"

She asked.

"It's personal"

The women said. Lily nodded as she got up to knock on her boss's door.

"Yes, come in!"

He said. Lily opens the door just enough to stick her head inside.

"A women by the name of Rosie is here to see you"

She said. Alastor stood up excitedly.

"Well bring her in"

He said as fixed up his vest and made sure his tie was on correctly as Lily opened the door wider for Rosie to enter. Lily excused herself as she left leaving the couple alone. Unfortunately, Lily could hear their laughter but then it got quiet and then laughter once again. Lily wasn't the one to eavesdrop but it hurt her when Alastor was more excited to see this women instead of her.

'I wanted the kiss just as badly as he did but I'm married and like mother and father said there is no such thing as divorce. Ooohhh what do I do? I should just quit'

Lily thought sadly. Just then Alastor's door opened and Lily quickly tried to mask her face expression by looking busy. Rosie stepped out, clothing the door behind her.

"Well thank you darling for letting me in"

She said walking up to Lily's desk.

"Yeah, sure it was nothing"

Lily said looking down at her papers she needed to organize. Rosie nodded as she was about to walk away but quickly stopped and turned back to face Lily.

"Is there something that matters, dearly?"

Rosie asked kindly. Lily looked up at her but sadly put her head down and nodded.

"Well come on, out with it. Tell Rosie everything that's bothering you"

Rosie said grabbing a chair and sat across from Lily's desk.

"It's just...."

Lily covered her eyes in shame as she began to tell Rosie.

"I think I might be falling for my boss, because last night he kissed me but I rejected him and now I'm pretty sure he's mad at me and now I don't know what to do, should I just quit?"

She asked. Rosie smiled as she tilted her head in confusion.

"Why did you reject the kiss? Don't you like him?"

She asked

"I do I mean, he's sweet, a charisma, just everything I want in a man but my husband was there and if he was to see me kissing my boss, he would have made me quit right in the spot"

"I see your situation and like they say communication is the key. I would suggest talking to him. He needs to understand"

"But he's angry at me"

"Because he's hurting and you need to set things straight and don't do nothing stupid until after speaking with him. Understood?"

She asked as she stood up from her seat. Lily let out a sigh and sadly nodded.

"Good, I'm off my dear and do let me know what happens"

Rosie said with a wave of her hand as she left the broadcast building. Lily frowned in thought.

'She's right. I can't hide from this anymore'

She thought as she stood up to make her way to her boss's open but the door soon opened as Alastor stepped out with the papers in hand and made his way to the radio station room. Lily slowly sat herself down.

'I can talk to him after work'

She thought lamely.

~After Work~

Lily took a deep breath before opening the door to Alastor's office. She saw him putting on his coat and packing up his belonging in a briefcase.

"Um, sir can I talk to you?"

She asked. Alastor had his back to her.

"I don't have time right now"

He said completely ignoring her request.

"But I..."

"Whatever you need to say just write it on paper and I'll read it tomorrow"

He said plainly as he was about to head to the door.

"I'm sorry okay!"

Lily shouted causing Alastor to stop and turn around to face her.

"I just...I...mmm"

Lily had pressed her lips against Alastor pressing him against the wall in surprise, causing him to drop his briefcase. Lily shut her eyes tight, hoping for Alastor not to reject her kiss. Alastor slowly closed his eyes as he enjoyed the kiss. He lifted up his hands placing them around her waist and held her tighter as he deepened the kiss.
