Alastor sat at his desk taking a sip of his tea and reading the newspaper. A sound of a knock caught his attention as he placed the newspaper down. The door open to reveal his secretary that has been working for him for a few months now.

"T-the reports for the news are done, sir"

She said shyly. Alastor couldn't help but smile at her shyness towards him. Every time she needs to speak with him, she becomes a blushing mess.

"You know, you don't have to be shy with me right Lily my dear"

He said causing Lily to blush more.

"Yes, I mean of course sir"

She said as she hands him the papers. Alastor grabbed the papers making sure to brush his hands against hers. Lily gave a slight bow before exiting the room. Alastor couldn't help but chuckle as her cuteness.

'Ever since Lily came to work for me I was smitten by her. The way she walks, talks, and the way she dresses, like a true lady. I can't seem to turn these feelings off but unfortunately there is something that is stopping me from pursuing her. She's married.'

He thought sadly as he looked down at the papers that he was just given.

'Great nothing about me the New Orleans notorious serial killer. Although, I have been lacking my hunting skills, probably tonight I should head out and have some fun'

He thought with an evil smirk. Another knocked soon echoed into the room, causing Alastor to lose his train of thought.

"Yes, come in"

He said instinctively. The door soon open to reveal his boss.

"Alastor my man, are you ready for the broadcast?"

He asked gruffly. Alastor stood up with a smile on his face.

"Aye aye, captain"

He said with a salute. The boss nodded as he was about to walk away and stop to look to his best host.

"Don't forget to report, tonight is the masquerade ball at the House of Blues and I expect you to be there"

He said sternly.

"Yes sir"

Alastor said seriously. The boss nodded before walking out of the room. Alastor let out a sigh, he enjoyed going to balls and parties but he hates that he's always alone.

'Perhaps, I can take Mimzy with me. I mean after all, she is the only one who can keep up with me on the dancefloor'

He thought with a smile. He grabbed his papers and headed out to go to the broadcast studio. As he walked past Lily, he immediately stopped and turned back to face her.

"Lily my dear, will you be going to the ball tonight?"

He asked curiously. Lily thought for a moment and smiled.

"Of course, I wouldn't miss it for the world"

"Excellent, I will see you tonight"

He said as he left. Outside Alastor was cool as a cucumber but on the inside he was jittery.

'I can't wait to see how she will be dressed tonight'

He thought excitedly.

~Party~

The party was in full bloom everyone happily chatting, dancing, drinking, eating except for one person. Alastor let out a sigh, he's been here for 30minutes and still no sign of Lily. He left Mimzy on her own on the dancefloor so he could get a drink. Once he reached the bar he sat on the stool and waited for his order. The sound of people cheering and compliments caught Alastor's attention as he looked back and gasped in surprise. There Lily stood with a beautiful black and red dress (A/N: The dress that's at the very top) with her arm linked with another man causing him to slightly frown. Lily saw her boss and made her way to him with a kind smile.

"Alastor sir, sorry for my tardiness"

She said with a slight bow. Alastor smiled at her beauty and gave a slide nod.

"Mr. RadioMan"

The guy next to Lily said out loudly.

"So you're the reason why my little darlin here is coming home late"

He said. Alastor slightly smiled at the guy and stuck out his hand to shake.

"Around here, I'm just Alastor, not Mr. RadioMan"

Alastor corrected as he shook the man's hand.

"In any case, we are all very proud of Lily's work. The office has never been neater and organized. She's a delightful to have working at the radio station"

He said complimenting Lily who simply blushed. Alastor then stood up and offered his hand to Lily with a slight bow.

"Would you like to dance, my dear?"

He asked. Lily looked to her husband for a response but he was busy checking out other girls. Lily rolled her eyes before nodding to her boss.

"Of course sir"

She said grabbing hold of his hand. Alastor smiled as he led her to the middle of the dance floora and began to waltz. After a while of dancing, Alastor led Lily to a balcony for to get some fresh air.

"You look absolutely lovely tonight"

Alastor complimented. Lily blushed with a smile.

"Thank you, you're not too bad yourself"

She said before slapping her hand over her mouth.

'I can't believe I just said that out loud to my boss'

She thought blushing madly. Alastor simply chuckled as he leaned forward on the railing.

"I suppose you didn't mean to say that out loud"

He guessed.

"Y-yeah, sorry sir"

She said nervously.

"Please, darling just for tonight, it's Alastor"

He said as he stood up to look at her. He couldn't help out to push a strand of hair behind her ear. Alastor leaned closer until their lips were slightly brushing against each other.

"S-sir, I mean Alastor, are you drunk?"

She asked hesitantly. Alastor chuckled once more.

"No, I just always wanted to do this"

He said pressing his lips to his secretary. Lily blushed up a storm and slightly pushed him back while she touch her lips with her hand.

"I-I'm sorry but I'm married"

She said before quickly walking out of the balcony leaving Alastor behind and heartbroken.
