Orginality

Advice:

Talk to friends or acquaintances: When you're creating a novel you want to make your ideas original! I guarantee you that if your vampires sparkle like Edward and Bella, your book won't make it nowhere. Tough love.

People like to see new things,
So don't be a cliché!

I understand that you simply can't be creative all the time and your brain just farts and you feel like you're a plum. I've been there!

The way I fix this issue is speaking to my peers. Ask them questions, as weird as that might be. Writers have a funny imagination and personality but we can get stuck too!

Questions:
1) How can I make my vampires walk in the sun?
2) Should my vampires be able to walk in the sun?
3) How will my werewolves transform?
4) What are their weaknesses and strengths.

They may give you a better idea for your stories and you can use or tweak them in the way you please.

Sometimes I feel that all of the ideas are taken and there's no room to express the story I'm trying to make because all the ideas are gone. LET ME TELL YOU THAT IS NEVER THE CASE.

There's always something that people run pass and never think of. We're all unique, we just have to access that stubborn part of our brain and actually think.

J.K. Smith, the author of the Vampire Diaries, made his/her vampires wear rings to protect them from the sun and their heart and blood was like normal humans so they blended in well. The story of the origin of vampires existence is pretty awesome also!

Stephenie Meyer, the author of The Twilight Saga, made her vampires freaking sparkle because their bodies are made of cold, crystal-like stone. CREATIVE!

Lastly, the author of Vampire Academy (Forgot the name), made three different spieces of vampires. The sun only bothered one out of the three spieces, so they wore sunglasses and carried umbrellas during the day. It's very simple and it worked out perfectly. Most of the scenes took place during the night to balance it out.

It's ok to use you friends ideas and suggestions. When my friends and family tell me their thoughts it starts to move gears in my head, and before you know it I remix their suggestion and make it even better with my own jazz and creativity.

There's nothing wrong with asking for help and seeking advice from people around you. Never hesitate to do that because their opinions are sometimes as good as yours!

That leads me to this, before you publish ANYTHING! Ask someone what are their thoughts on the piece just to make sure you weren't just writing and drifted off into another world. You want accuracy and almost perfection.

The people I let read over my things always catch errors and things they don't understand. It's fine to make mistakes. I personally love mistakes because it helps me learn and watch out for future mistakes, to where the editing isn't so heavy when I do it myself.
