*Alastair Pov*

I woke up to see her still cuddled with me and I couldn't even have a will to wake her up so that I can reach the training. My wounds were not that severe for me to even ignore my duties of training my fellow mates and also the work given by the King.

But to my stupidity, I actually left all those for a week just to be with the woman who is lying beside me. How can I be that ignorant that I am stepping away from my responsibilities for a mere woman who is still with a wish to leave this land and go to heavens knows what place?

With a jerk I moved her away and climbed down from the bed while she slowly woke up because of my push. She sat up and mumbled "Why are you awake? There is still time for morning food, right?"

"I need to go for training." I replied, taking the tunic from the apparel's and wore it.

"But you are wounded, right?" She questioned, turning to look at me.

"I am perfectly fine." I replied, not glancing at her.

"Are you sure? Do you wish for me to help with something?" She questioned and I fisted my hands.

"No! I do not want you to do anything at all." I replied with a raised voice.

"What did I do now?" She continued to question.

"Just do not speak to me. Because of you I left all the duties I was needed to do." I accused turning towards her.

"Me? I never asked you to do anything." She mumbled with a frown.

"But I did just to be here with you and now I realized that I was pouring water on all my hard work. I cannot believe that I even stayed here idle all this time just talking with you." I sneered at myself while she sat with a calm expression.

"You just need someone to put the blame on." She started the words and continued saying, "But keep in your head that I will not always be here to take the blame upon."

Before I could apologize for my behavior, understanding that I was again wrong, she left the hut with the new apparel making me groan.

"I know that! I know that you will not always be here." I mumbled to myself before leaving the hut and reached the training place.

Everyone glanced at me with shock and also knowing looks on their faces, but I ignored each one of them before starting the training with a new level to cover the previous ones.

"So, you need not take rest anymore?" Gavin asked, and I shook my head in silence.

"So, I will be watching over Bhairavi from today on?" Colton asked, smiling and I nodded with a frown at his happiness.

"Great! I will leave right now then." He replied and walked away before I can say anything to him.

"What happened to him?" I questioned Gavin while he just gave me a smirk before walking away too.

"Did Colton reached?" I questioned the men in the food place and they all shook the heads in negative.

"I will take her food along with mine and have a word with her." I mumbled to myself before taking up two dishes, but stopped when I saw her and Colton walking near the place.

I glanced around to see everyone staring at her making me place my hand on the sword, but they both have normal expression while entering the place and sat in the corner.

"You missed a discussion to support us few days back." The woman who takes care of the running of this place in proper way uttered to Bhairavi.

"Oh no! But do not worry we all will have some more discussions and I will be here to support the women." Bhairavi assured her and the woman nodded smiling before walking away.

"Next time we will not let you win." Colton challenged her while few men supported his words.

"We will see, the defeated." Bhairavi said teasingly and they both laughed, making me grip the sword even tighter than before.

"I heard that they both are very close and always be with each other from the time we left the land. Everyone is talking about them and thinking that they both will be a pair." Gavin mumbled making me frown.

I glanced around and saw that even the men who were with us for war are in normal mood with her in this place between them. She is just talking with Colton joking around and they both left without giving me any glance.

I can't believe it! I thought pushing the food away before standing up to reach the barn to go for a ride as I didn't do it from the time I returned.

After a ride I felt my mind clear and returned to see Bhairavi stepping out of the Chamber along with Colton making me confused. I reached inside to see the King and Queen are having a word with the people who look over the border.

"Alastair! How are you feeling now?" Queen asked in a kind tone.

"I am well, Your highness. And I apologize for missing my duties for the large number of days." I replied bowing to them.

"Do not worry about that! Bhairavi sent a word for your absence in the middle apologizing from your side. We are glad that you are fine now." King replied, making me frown at him in confusion.

"You are more glad that now she can stop her care for him and can play the board game of chess with you." Queen mumbled and he laughed nodding.

"She is a good child. In a few days of time she made everyone feel good about her and now no one feels her as a treat for the land." King uttered making me still in my place.

"My children can be exempted in those people." Queen pointed out and King nodded.

After he gave me the duties, I walked out from the chamber and felt like a fool for not knowing everything and then talking rubbish words at her.

I finished the works in a speed even skipping the lunch and reached the hut to see that she is not inside making me wonder where she is when it is getting dark. With a frown I left for the food place only to see her and Colton already there having their food.

Without a word I sat at the other side and had my food feeling the hunger, but kept my glances at them at every moment I can.

Even after they left I stayed over to release the anger increasing inside me and glanced around to see many of the people already left the place.

Which turned out to be another blunder as when I reached the hut she is already sleeping covered in a blanket on her cot while I saw another blanket on mine not giving me a chance to be near her.

The next I woke up to see her already leaving the hut and then whenever I see her everyone are around us making it unable to say anything to her. And then at night she was either asleep or I couldn't get the right words out.

While I am going through hell with no share of words with her, she is more than normal and all this is not effecting her in any way making me feel a little fear with a doubt that whatever I am feeling for her is not being returned in any way.

To top that feel I can see Colton is close to her more than I can see making me want to punch him, but their behavior is not in any way inappropriate no matter what Gavin and Jacey are mumbling about taking away the chance of uttering anything to them.

"I was wrong." I finally got the words out for the second time in my life and that too only to her.

"I know!" that's all she mumbled before lying on the cot after a week of silence.

"You have every right to be mad at me, but I was not in right mind saying any of those rubbish." I explained further.

"Alastair! I know you are hard headed man who utters everything that enters his head. And I know you feel that I am low to you for giving me any respect. Just give me the respect I deserve until you release me and then we will live our lives with none of these disturbances." She uttered before lying on the cot and while I sat stunned in my place.

"What can be done to make you stay here?" I asked her with a frown.

"Nothing can!" she simply replied before drifting off into sleep.

Then it will be good for me to stay away from you and stop the feel of anything for you and also remove it forever. I thought before drifting off myself.

"Is that all, your highness?" I asked the King after hearing the duties I have for the day.

"Yes!" he replied and the Queen added, "Are you fine, Alastair?"

"I am well, Your highness." I replied with a frown not understanding why is she questioning me that.

"You just seem to be drowning in the work from the past few days. And even taking upon the night shifts at the border. You should also think about your health, Alastair. Is there a reason for this behavior of yours? Even Bhairavi seems to be worried about you." Queen explained and I glanced down.

She herself is the reason for my behavior, your highness and I need to be like this before I feel the pain again regarding the loved ones leaving me.

"You need not worry, Your highness." I mumbled before leaving the chamber.

"You know if you do not want anything to do with her all you have to do is release her from the bound." Gavin suggested the same day.

"Why do you feel that I do not want anything to do with her?" I questioned him and he laughed along with Jacey.

"We all can see that you are walking the opposite way from her and didn't even go inside the hut for the past few days except for the apparel changing." Jacey replied.

"What are you all doing, keeping a track on someone's life and not doing some needed work in your life? You both siblings need to learn how to mind your own life." I grumbled with a glare.

"Now do not speak to a Prince and Princess in that way, Alastair." Gavin uttered returning the glare.

"Brother!" Jacey mumbled placing her hand on his shoulder, making him leave the hard expression.

"We are not saying something which is not required, Alastair. Just look at those two and then say that we are wrong." She mumbled gesturing outside the food place and I glanced to see both Bhairavi and Colton laughing and talking.

"You can release her and then they both will be happy together. We all can see that they are good for each other. Don't you feel so too?" She asked and I suddenly felt the possessiveness which I didn't let myself feel the day when I saw them together.

She is mine! How can she be anyone else at all? If possible I will never release her making her stay here as long as I can. I thought before getting up and strolled towards them with the anger and possessiveness I am feeling in my head at present.

They both stopped their words when they saw me showing the confusion on their faces while staring at me. I glanced at Colton and glared at him.

"Colton! I don't know what you will do, but disappear yourself from my sight for sometime." I ordered him making him glance at her with worry.

"I do not have any intention to harm her." I added and he slowly nodded before walking away.

"What is it?" She asked, making me turn to stare at her.

"Now, I am going to kiss you." I replied.

"What?" She questioned and I did as I told her crashing my lips on her's before pulling her to me while she stood stunned in her place.
