Mitch's P.O.V

"Mitch, hey." Someone says and shakes me. I sit up and look at Crystal.

"What, you ok?" I ask. She nods.

"Yeah, I heard a noise outside." She whispers.

"It's probably just Cinnabun trying to catch a bug or something." I say and close my eyes.

"No, it was not a crash or anything like that! It was more of a creepy noise!" Crystal exclaims and starts to freak out a bit. I get up and head outside of the room. Crystal follows close behind. We head out into the living room. I look around and see Cinnabun looking up, trying to get something. I suddenly hear a weird squeak and Crystal hides behind me.

"Is that the noise you were talking about?" I ask her. She nods. I head over towards where the noise came from, when a sudden thought pops into my head. 'Wait, I've heard that sound before! Is that,' I move our jackets out of the way, revealing, "Dillon!"

"Wait, that's Dillon? What's he doing here?!" Crystal asks in surprise. I shrug.

"I don't know. We should bring him over to Jason and Night tommorow so they don't get worried about him." I suggest. She nods. "But we have to take care of him for the night."

"I don't know how to take care of a bat!" Crystal exclaims.

"Yeah, what do they eat?" I ask. Crystal shrugs.

"I just said I don't know how to take care of a bat." She says. I groan.

"Maybe we should just text Jason and tell him that Dillon is here and he can come pick him up." She nods. A fact about Jason and Night, they have the most random animals as pets. Like a pig, a wolf, and a bat. I take my phone out of my pocket and push on Jason's contact and text him.

Mitch: 'Hey, you guys looking for Dillon?' I look at the time and see that it's almost midnight. 'I doubt he's awake.' I was about to put my phone down when it vibrates. I look at it and see that he texted back.

Jason: 'Yeah, have you found him?'

Mitch: 'He's literally in our living room'

Jason: 'How did he? Alright, I'll be over in a couple of minutes.'

"What'd he say?" Crystal asks.

"He'll be over in a couple of minutes." I say. She nods.

====== Crystal's P.O.V ======

I head back to our room and sit on the bed. I put my head in my hands and sigh. 'What the hell has gotten into me? I knew that was Dillon, but was still freaked out about it! It seems I'm freaked out about every little thing that happens, but why?'

"Are you ok?" Someone asks, making me jump. I look up and see Mitch with a worried expression on his face.

"Yeah I'm fine." Mitch sits down on the bed next to me.

"Are you sure?" He asks. I shake my head.

"No. I keep freaking out about everything and I don't understand why." I explain and look at the floor. Mitch looks at me and frowns.

"I think it might be the nightmares." He says. I take a deep breath. "I mean, alot of the stuff that you hear or do is basically used against you in your nightmares, which affects you in real life, making you freaked out about that specific thing."

"I know, and I know why I'm having them. But I don't know why I'm hesitating to kill her. Every time I have the chance, I hesitate and end up letting her live, which doesn't help our situations." I explain. Mitch turns his body to where he's facing me. I look at him.

"I think that it might be because she's your mom, and I know you each have some connection with each other under all the hate." He says. I stare at him.

"How would you know?" I ask.

"I can sense it. And I know that Ty is the same way. Both of you are hesitating because you all still love each other. Also, you aren't really the killing type either, so that might be another reason." Mitch explains. I nod.

"I-I never thought that she would love me in any way. But I know she did, before I showed her that I was a hybrid, and she's hated me ever since." I explain.

"Maybe there is a way to bring her back to her old self." Mitch suggests.

"Yeah, how?" I ask. Mitch shrugs.

"I guess we'll just have to find that out." He says. I nod. I lay against him and he puts his arms around me. I close my eyes, taking in his warm scent, and drift off to sleep.
