Our Lovely Cousins
*Siennas p.o.v.*
"Hiiiiiiiiii !!! Sienna !!! Mimi !!! Welcome to L.A.! I am so happy to see my little babys again! Oh gosh, you both are much taller than last summer! And you are getting prettier from day to day!"
Bettina, one of our spoilt cousins, sat in a cafe next to the arrival hall and screamed hysterically at us. In our first minutes in LA she managed to embarass my sister and me with her high voice and her strange clothing style (she likes to wear leotards in the most outrageoust colours): every single person in the hall was staring at her and us.
"I fear this holiday might become a little bit awkward for us!" I whispered to Mimi. "Just smile and wave" she answered in a peeved voice.
"Now, now girls, she isn't that bad." our father tried to convince us. But he failed because it's not easy to convince Miri and me if it's about our cousin Betty.
Trisha, our second beautiful cousin and Bettina's completely different sister, waited for us in her new range rover in front of the airport.
"Girls! And Christian! Hello!" she seemed to be very happy about our arrival and wasn't as hyped as Betty was. That's one of the many reasons why Trish is our favourite cousin.
While sitting in the car, Betty told dad some uninteresting new stories of her and her new boyfriend Ray also known as "the Clamp" (don't ask me why), while Miri and I talked with Trish about some news in our family, school, celebrities and others.
Mimi and I were really excited because we didn't know where we would live in the next weeks because our cousins moved into a new villa last autumn. I was absolutely overwhelmed as we turned into their entrance.
The property was at least as big as seven football fields. The villa looked like a monstrous castle. And they didn't just own a ranger rover, in their garage were six other cars in the most colourful variations. But I was not the only one who was impressed - Mimis eyes were wide-open and she stared out of the window in a fascinated way.
After Trish parked the car next to a yellow Ferrari, they showed us the garden and our new home for the next 9 weeks. My room was amazing. The walls were light blue, the curtains and the carpet were white, and in the middle of the room was a king-size-bed. The most breathtaking aspect was the bathroom. One wall was a huge mirrored window, so I had a gorgeous view to the downtown of LA. In front of that wall was a huge shower. It has to be amazing to shower and look at LA at the same time!
There was another room, which was connected to my bedroom - a walk-in wardrobe, which was as big as my bedroom at home. Or even bigger.
Mimi's room was completely the same, it was just mirror-image.
Trishs and Bettys living room was enourmusly and instead of a television set they had a little screen and a beamer. Personally, I really liked the style of this room, it was modern and a little bit old-fashioned. Even the high-qualitiy kitchen is very comfortable. I immediately felt like home.
In Austria we lived with our dad in a big, modern house in a prosperous area. Compared with this villa, our parent's house was like a shack.
I really was looking forward to the next 9 weeks in which I could spent my leisure time in this dream house.
