Chapter One
A strong breeze blew by, causing some locks of your hair to be lifted up into the air and dance with the wind. You sighed in content as the cool breeze brought comfort to your hot body as the sun shown from above. Life on Olympus was anything but normal, but it definitely didn't take long getting used to . You would think that living with gods would be quite the exciting thing, unfortunately, you've learned all there is exciting about it is the amount of arguing century old beings could do.
Your brows furrowed in annoyance as you heard Ares and Hephaestus go at it again, this time with a monkey wrench flying past your head. You stiffened as you looked over at the two men with pure anger in your eyes as one arm tightly grasped the metal tool. Paying no mind to your sharp glare, the two proceeded to bicker and whine about who Aphrodite loved more.
Sighing in annoyance, you gathered your things and went inside the marble palace to get to your room. It has been four years since your mother was saved. That's four, long years that you've been kept from Camp Half Blood and those that inhabited it. Sadly, after things had settled down, your duties as Athena's apprentice came upon you and drowned you in work. Luckily, being the daughter of the goddess herself, you were able to master all of the needed skills within two years, a term that would take a normal god ten at most.
The main reason why you haven't visited is because Zeus hasn't given you permission to come and go as you please. Him, of all people, thinks that you're unable to restrain yourself from releasing your new found powers, thus creating havoc in the world. Fresh anger coursed through your bloodstream as you thought about how he mocked your ability to control them four years ago. The god was a jerk. No, a man who had no room to speak as he is the one who can't restrain himself from going after a beautiful woman while his wife stands by him.
Shaking your thoughts aside, you climbed one of the many mahogany staircases that was held up with white stone pillars. You buried your nose in the book you were reading beforehand, and continued to roam the halls until you made it to your room.
Due to you being a minor goddess, your room was located on the west side of the building who's the major gods, or top twelve, were located at the east side. The north was where the library, literature halls, music rooms, and tinkering labs were located. The South consisted of the gardens of Olympus where lush, green plants sprouted from the soil and blooms beautiful flowers of all species. That's where Demeter spent most of her time, even allowing you to help her come up with new plants or properties of previous ones from time to time.
Olympus was beautiful, but it still hadn't filled the vague hole in your chest every time your mind wandered to a certain dark haired boy. Sometimes, when Annabeth and Percy would Iris message you, they would tell you what they've heard from Will while they were in New Rome. Their calls always made you smile and feel a little less homesick than usual.
As you approached your room, you noticed that something was off. Maybe it was that there was a different atmosphere than usual, or maybe it was that the door was left wide open. Cautiously, you stepped into your room and looked around. A scream wanted to push it's way past your lips, but you swallowed it down as you saw the most annoying of the gods sitting in your very much beloved desk chair.
"There you are! I thought you would never have come back!" Comus exaggerated as he kicked his legs up and and set them on your desktop. Your eyes twitched as you watched as smirk spread across his gorgeously tanned face, showcasing his white teeth.
"Why would it matter to such a lowlife as you, Comus? Tell me, are you here to wreck havoc once more in my life? Or is it that you're bored an simply wish to bother me," you questioned as you looked the God up and down, taking in his appearance. You tried to tell your heart to stop it's bothersome beating, but yet again, it wouldn't listen. It's not that you had feelings for the annoying man before you, it's just that it acts spastic when you're around cute guys.
"Now, don't say that love. I only come here by and by again because I admire you. You know that, as well as the other gods. Who knows, maybe one day we'll wed just as Hera and Zeus had," he stated as he smiled his boyish smile and placed his hands behind his head. You watched as his dark hair fell over his blue eyes in disgust. Does he not know the word no? How many times has it been now since you ha slated turned down his offer?
"I am not your 'love' so stop calling me it. Along with what you said after that, I'll have to give you a hard no on that. I do not wish to marry you, nor will I ever," you declared harshly as you placed your books down on a shelf and crossed your arms over your chest. Comus rolled his eyes playfully as he watched your action. His eyes lit up with mischief as he looked you in the eye and smiled once more.
Getting up out of the chair and walking towards you, he leaned towards your face and whispered, "We'll see about that," before kissing your cheek lightly and walking out the door.
