Another chapter! I'm really sad actually. This book is ending. I felt the same way with Hope and Wheeljack. It started to quickly and ended too quickly. If you've read my other book, I'm curious.
Which one of my transformers books do you like better and why?
Sorry for mistakes!
~ Enjoy

"You finally did it," a deep voice stated softly.
Soundwave felt himself shift as the voice came from nowhere, startling him into consciousness. He went to reply but stopped himself. For a short moment he had forgotten everything that had happened and felt horrified at the thought of speaking.
"You have nothing to be worried about," the voice said encouragingly, "you've ended it all."
"Primus?" Soundwave asked.
Here he was again, surrounded by nothing but darkness and a glowing light.
"How- what-"
"You questioned yourself before- I'd you were worthy of having a sparkmate. Now you know. You deserve her, Soundwave. Just as you deserved many other things in your life."
Lynlee.
Soundwave could barely hear her voice. She was shouting and begging. Immedatialy, thoughts of Megatron having his way with her made him spring up. Panic invaded his entire body as he frantically began to look around.
"You have nothing to worry about," Primus assured him, "your sparkmate is... quite well."
Why do I feel like he's suggesting something? Soundwave wondered. It was true, though. He had seen a side of Lynlee he hadn't seen before. She was fierce and determined and caring- even in her own pain. Before, when he had taken her, she was timid and shy.
All she could do was talk and sing that little song that brought him out of his own nightmares.
"Forgive me- it was the only way for you two to come together."
Something glowed on his neck suddenly. It was bright and pulsing. Soundwave glanced down and immediately recognized it as the shard Lynlee had kept so close to her before. How had it ended up there? Ratchet had been using it for his research.
"This is a small shard from a spark," Primus admitted. "A bond between Cybertronian and human is completely impossible. Without a spark, a human would perish when attempting to spark bond.
"But," he continued, "I happened to notice a particular little human's interest in this shard. It started with the carrier, who had found it in a cave many years ago. It was once the spark of a rogue Decepticon that escaped and tried to lay in hiding on earth. Megatron discovered the treachery, though, and eliminated him. But part of his spark remained."
"But a spark isn't a shard," Soundwave tried to reason. It made no sense to him, but Primus was less than worried when sensing the mech's confusion.
"Though his body was disposed of, the mech's spark still remained. Lonely and without hope. A young girl discovered the cave and was lost. I found her attempts of escape amusing. Humans are rather resilient most times, but she was obviously not an adventurer.
"The spark led the girl to the shard- a piece of synthetic energon. It was the same cave that Megatrons discovered once he offlined the rogue decepticon. And the same one he mined dry. It was meant to be his only source of reviving Cybertron, but the Autobots managed to attack and destroy every last shard that he possessed. Seemingly ridding of Cybertron's last hope.
When the girl was lost, the lost spark led her to the energon shard and placed itself in it. To guide her in a way. She wandered out of the cave and back to her home. It was never meant to become more," Primus admitted. "That girl loved the shard. Her love kept filling it up more and more, until she passed it onto your Sparkmate before she died."
Soundwave shook his helm in confusion. This sounded like some fairy tale his carrier would have told him to help him fall asleep at night.
Primus seemed to recognize Soundwave's disbelief.
"Miracles happen," he snapped, "and we don't question miracles."
"I-okay," he stuttered, "did the lost spark-"
"He is one with Primus now," Primus said. "That stone connected the two of you, with a little help from me along the way. It would have been impossible- a mere fantasy otherwise- but without that stone, you two would have never found each other."
He would have never left the Decepticons. Megatron would have lost the war and brought tragedy onto earth. Every human, including Lynlee, would have been offlined or made slaves. And Soundwave would have not had a second thought in offlining her if he had been given the orders under certain circumstances. Without the stone.
"It is hard to understand now, but do not think too hard about it. Let your processors rest. You will be heading back soon."
Yet again, the sound of Lynlee's yelling sounded in his audio receptors.
"It's about time," Primus chuckled, "she's been waiting for weeks. Don't make us listen to her any longer."
Soundwave began to question the remark when he felt himself being pulled away. Everything became brighter and louder. The commotion around him was almost overwhelming. And above all else, Lynlee was hear snapping at someone.
"I don't understand why he isn't waking up."
"I have already told you to rest. You were injured just as badly," a baffled voice began, but was interrupted by the girl again.
"It's not like I would have died! I just need him to wake up!"
"Actually, you were dead," the voice muttered.
"Three times," another coughed up.
To that, Lynlee had nothing to reply.
"Young one," Optimus Prime's baritone voice started, "you need rest. Your sparkmate will wake in time."
Soundwave could hear a small sniffling noise and his spark jolted. "But he's been out for months."
I thought you said weeks, Primus. Soundwave thought in irritation.
"Do not make me sedate you!" The voice, that he now recognized to be Ratchet, threatened.
Soundwave couldn't take it anymore. With one large movement, he forced himself to sit up as his optics opened. A few gasps were heard, but he could focus on no other person but Lynlee.
"S-Soundwave!" She shouted happily. Her face was covered with yellowed, faded bruises and her arm had a bright purple cast on. A crutch was under her arm, but she practically ignored it and began to hop towards him.
"Lynlee."
"He's awake," a baffled Bulkhead said in awe.
"Uh, duh! It's true love!" Miko shouted and squealed like a little girl as she bounced up and down, hands against the railing. Rafael adjusted his glasses from beside her and shook his head.
"I would like to think that it was actually Ratchet's long hours as a surgeon-"
"Shut it shrimp!" Miko shot back.
A large servo moved in front of Lynlee, and Soundwave shot up in an instant, blaster out and pointed at her attacker.
Optimus Prime eyed the wary bot before smiling softly. "I was merely moving her closer to you. I assure you, Soundwave, you have nothing to be afraid of now."
"Yeah! The war is over!" Miko sang.
"Wheeljack's already rallying troops from each corner of the galaxy to help restore Cybertron," Bulkhead announced. Bumblebee whirred in agreement and fist pumped his comrades in excitement. From beside the two, Arcee rolled her optics.
"The war-" Soundwave started quietly.
"Is over. It's been over for several months now. You were in recovery while Ratchet finished perfecting the synthetic energon," Optimus said.
"And now I can have my necklace back!" Lynlee smiled and held up the shard like it was a prize. Which, in a way, it was.
Soundwave stared at the shard as he remembered everything Primus had said. How Lynlee had become his sparkmate. It was true, it sounded like a tale, but he wasn't going to question anything. She was his sparkmate, whether or not he sparkbonded.
She was a his and he was hers.
"Soundwave?" Lynlee questioned from beside him. He glanced at her before moving his arm to pick her up. But he paused.
Ratchet chuckled nervously as Soundwave stared at his new appendage.
"There were very few spares. I apologize- you will remain with that arm until I create a replica of your old one."
Soundwave nodded in understanding before picking his sparkmate up.
"Are you okay?" he asked her.
"Better than okay now that you're awake," she admitted. "You had me worried for a while."
"Which was illogical, seeing as it was me that offered her comfort every day," Ratchet said, baffled.
"Getting comfort from you is like stabbing yourself in the eye with a needle," Miko said bluntly.
"What! I'm the Doctor," Ratchet bellowed, "I was not giving comfort, just facts! He was going to survive after I stabilized him-"
"Old friend," Optimus cut in, "I think you are- as the humans say- dogging yourself into a hole."
Ratchet muttered angrily as he turned away to stare at the monitors.
"Cybertron? How is it?" Soundwave suddenly asked.
"It's on it's way. Within a couple of years we could have a basic system going. Wheeljack found some old friends, as Bulk said before, and we know of a few who fled to rogue planets in order to save the next generation. We just need help rebuilding."
"What do you say, Soundy? Want to help us rebuild cybertron?" A new voice spoke up suddenly.
Soundwave turned to stare at a very uncomfortable Knockout, who now wore the Autobot's insignia on his metal plantings.
Soundwave stared at him for a short moment before turning his attention back to Lynlee.
"Wow. He took that better than I thought," Miko whispered to Jack. The boy nodded in agreement.
"Aren't you going to say something?" Knockout said nervously.
Soundwave turned back towards him, his bright blue optics shinning in warning.
"Do not touch my spark mate or I will offline you."
Then, as if nothing had happened, he turned back around.
Knockout chuckled nervously and nodded. "Right. Point taken. I can do that."
Lynlee smiled in happiness as she stared at Soundwave. He was so much different than the first time he'd met her- happy, even.
"Are you ready now?"
Soundwave raised an optic ridge at her question.
"I told you I wanted to explore the world with you. Where do you want to go first?"
The mech thought for a moment before opening a groundbridge. Lynlee hopped onto his hand without question, ignoring the others confused looks and Ratchets shout of protest that they needed to rest.
A gasp escaped the girl after they walked for a few short moments, through the trees. Soundwave was waiting for some sort of reaction as he stepped forward. Right in front of the cemetery.
Tears filled the girls eyes as she whipped her head around to look at her sparkmate.
"What-"
"I took you away from her before," he said guiltily.
She trembled as she moved forward. Towards her mother's grave. The one she hadn't been to for months.
"S-Soundwave-" she mumbled weakly.
"I'll wait," he said softly as he took a step back. "We can... we can go to your home after."
She stared at him for a few short moments before closing her eyes and wiping her tears. As quickly as she could in her healing state. Soundwave activated his holoform.
The girl lunged into his arms.
"Thank you."
She hugged him tightly before looking up. Her cheeks burned bright red as she hesitated for a moment. But then, in a quick motion, she leaned forward and pecked him on the lips.
Soundwave blinked a few times as she pulled away. He scanned her, recognizing her rise in body temperature.
"I'll just be a minute," she said, still blushing fiercely.
"O-okay."
He turned quickly and went back to his Cybertronian form. If his body possessed it, he knew that his own face platings would be red too.
A small smile fell upon his face as some time passed and he stared at his sparkmate. She kneeling in the dirt, saying high to the woman who made their relationship happen in the first place. Without that shard, none of it would have been possible.
He knew suddenly as she finally stood and turned to him. The war was over. Megatron was no more. Optimus' team was going to rebuild Cybertron. There would be no more death. No more murder. No more tyranny.
He was going to cherish every moment with his sparkmate without worry or doubt.
I'm worthy, he told himself, I deserve this.
Everything was going to be okay.

So?
.....
What do you think?
Rushed? Good? Bad? What are your thoughts?
I will work on editing this book soon. I'm not sure when, but I hope there weren't too many mistakes- both grammar and spelling.
Honestly I kind of pulled this chapter out of my butt so I apologize if it didn't sound believable.
Well... this is the end. There are a few plot holes, but I honestly love this book.
I'm not sure if there's going to be an epilogue...
What do you guys thing? Epilogue or no epilogue?
Anyway, I hope you guys liked this story! I am honestly wanting to cry. I don't like endings. I started this book so long ago. I know there are a few things from the beginning of the book that I forgot. I'm not sure if I'll go back and fix this book in particular because of everything going on right now in my life, but I'm still writing the girl with wings rewrite and possibly another transformers book...
Yeah, I've had a few ideas 👀😊
I love you guys and I hope you liked this story! Thank you to every reader who had supported me along the way! There are too many to shout out but know that I recognize easy and every one of you!
Thanks for reading!
