Sorry for the long wait. I'm moving into an apartment and I am working with some anxiety when it comes to that (prayed to God and honestly things have gotten so much better- I feel a lot more at peace now).

I also work at a preschool so everything is crazy with what we have to do to clean and sanitize. A lot is changing but I'll do anything for my kids (ha I say my as if they are actually mine- feels like it though, honestly)

So anyways, I hope you guys can forgive me for taking so long. I forget that you guys go through some stuff as well. As a reader I enjoy reading a good book on wattpad when I'm down so I'm gonna go ahead and write this chapter now that it's been several weeks.

The silence was so loud. It was ironic to Soundwave, really. His entire life had been filled with silence- yet it had so much meaning. So many reasons he wanted to stay silent and remain as such forever.

But then things changed.

He met a human, who happened to be his spark mate. It would have been so easy to offline her and dispose of the body- make sure he obeyed his master and kept his vow of silence. Continue his only will to live.

Avenge his parental units. Offline Optimus Prime. It was as simple as that. Please his one and only master, Megatron, and end the war that caused so much pain on Cybertron for millennia.

As Soundwave released the blade that remained hidden in his right arm, he almost felt like smiling. At least, in the end -despite there being so many twists in what he once believed to be true- he would do the one thing he vowed to do since his sire died.

Offline Optimus Prime and win this Primus awful war. The Autobot's leader nodded once towards the previously silent mech. It was a small movement. One Soundwave doubted any other bot could see.

His optics focused on his spark mate for a short moment. She was unmoving and unconscious. It was painful for the mech. More painful than anything he had felt in a very long time. Not since his parental units it's had been murdered.

Megatron understood Soundwave's feelings toward the human. She was his sparkmate. Sparkmates, to Cybertronians, were supposed to be with each other forever. Loving one another. Cherishing their bond until they passed.

Lynlee was about to pass away too soon.

"I suggest you get on with it," Megatron sneered as he shook Lynlee's glass prison, "unless you wish for her to offline right here on the battlefield."

Both the Autobots and Decepticons looked anxious as the two approached each other. Optimus inhaled deeply before unsheathing his own sword.

Then, the two rushed forward.

Optimus lifted his blaster and aimed for Soundwave's helm, which the mech easily avoided. Soundwave's plan was simple- Optimus Prime was best at long distance combat. Though he did gain a unique physical strength once he became a prime, Soundwave possessed better materials for close combat.

The Autobot dodged an attack from a tentacle and cut at another with his blade. Within a few moments after their fight began, Soundwave could hear more blasters ring out.

The Autobots and Decepticons were attacki nf. Megatron stood in the same place as he had before, surveying the field as his army attacked the Autobots.

It was strange. Soundwave felt uneasy from the moment Megatron ordered him to offline Optimus Prime. He had worked for the Decepticon warlord for a very long time. Megaton wanted nothing more than to offline Optimus himself.

Yet at the same time it played right into Optimus and Soundwave's plan.

Perhaps that's why he felt everything was so out of place.

A large force hit Soundwave in his side. He grunted from the impact and swiveled around to catch his blade upon Optimus'. The red and blue mech's eyes were blazing with a hungry desire- a desire to end this war.

Soundwave dodged a few blasts coming from around the field and jumped to avoid any unnecessary injuries.

From the corner of his eye, he could spot Megatron looking down at Lynlee. The girl was glaring at the warlord, seemingly wide awake now. Despite her injuries she was forcing herself to stand. Megatron's servo was placed dangerously close to the containers lid.

If the container was opened, even in the slightest bit, she would perish.

As if it were muscle memory, as humans liked to call it, he opened a Groundbridge just as Optimus attacked. The attack flew through one portal and put the next, hitting the Autobot dangerously close to his spark.

Optimus cried out as another came. And another. Soundwave was aiming strategically into different groundbridge- all separated at enough distance as to prevent the shadow zone affect from occurring- and Optimus was hit one by one.

Energon leaked from his wounds and he struggled to move forward. Soundwave took several long strides and then aimed his attack towards the majority of the field- Autobots and Decepticons alike.

Every bot stopped and cried out as the once silent mech let out a loud, ear piercing screech. The same one he used to take Lynlee away from the grave of her mother all those months ago.

Autobot and Decepticons alike held their servos at their audio receptors as the sound continued. Soundwave stomped towards Optimus.

The leader took a few steps backwards in pain, but then began to push forward. Optimus refused to lose the war. He vowed to do anything to win. Even if it meant giving up his own life.

Soundwave dodged a blade and grabbed Optimus' arm and squeezed hard enough to leave a large dent.

From the sidelines, Megatron was grinning. His sharp denta were showing. Lynlee whimpered from her spot at the sight of Soundwave as he raised his blade. A scream tore from her throat as he hesitated just slightly before bringing it down into Optimus' spark.

Megatron chuckled darkly and glanced down at the girl. His optics were dark and mischievous as he spoke, "Now watch, little human, as your race falls into my hands."

He shook her container and she yelped as she fell onto her side. More and more blood was leaking out all over the bottom of the container. Her weary eyes looked over to Soundwave, who stood over Optimus Prime with silent expression.

"Bring me the Omega key," Megatron roared.

"Optimus!" Arcee shouted in anguish at the sight of her leader crumbled up on the ground. Energon leaked all around him and he lay on the ground.

Motionless.

Soundwave stared into Megaton's eyes as he marched forward, Omega key in hand.

"S-Soundwave," Lynlee whispered.

He looked to her. She looked so sad. So broken. Both mentally and physically. The mech lifted his visor and gave an emotionless expression to the girl. Though his face platings face nothing away, there was something in his optics.

They were completely blue.

"How could you!" Arcee screamed. Bulkhead shouted for the small Autobot to stop, but she was forcing her way through the Decepticons one by one. Bumblebee whirred in desperation as they all continued fighting.

"How pathetic- even though your leader has fallen, you try so desperately to succeed. Pathetic," Megatron snarled.

Soundwave nodded towards the glass container.

"Give me my sparkmate," he said softly.

"After you give me the Omega key," Megatron countered.

The two stared at each other, both seemingly oblivious to the fighting still happening around them. It was as if the world had stopped moving.

The fate of the war now depended on Soundwave's decision.

"Please don't, Soundwave. Don't do it," Lynlee pleaded.

"Oh, but I think he has already made his decision, haven't you Soundwave?" Megatron asked.

"Yes, Lord Megatron."

Faster than anyone could blink, Soundwave blasted several shots at Megatron, making sure not to hit Lynlee in the process. A groundbridge opened. One before and one behind Megatron.

The warlord snarled and dodged, as if expecting the attack.

Lynlee screamed as she was thrown about in the Decepticon's anger.

"You expect me to fall for the same truck twice?" Megatron smiled wickedly as he dropped Lynlee's container. The glass cracked upon impact. Soundwave felt terror run up his body at the sight.

A blade flew past his face, quickly followed by a punch to the face plantings. He flew backwards several feet before rolling a few times and skidding to a stop.

"I must say, Soundwave- you are not as swift or agile as you were under my rule. It's a shame that this had to happen. If it wasn't for that worm none of this would have happened," he said, speaking of Lynlee.

"I would have found out," Soundwave growled out.

"Perhaps in time," Megatron agreed. His dark eyes sparkled with delight as he punched the mech again. Energon flew everywhere and Soundwave tried to stand straight.

His tentacles went to block blow after blow, but Megatron was too fast. Too strong. Though Soundwave far superior when it came to strategy, Megatron was reliant on his own brute strength.

He coughed in pain as energon leaked from his mouth. Megatron picked him up by the shoulder plating.

"If you will not give me that key willingly, then I will rip it from your cold, spark ridden chassis," Megatron said lowly.

Soundwave let out a pain-filled cry as Megatron- without much warning- ripped his arm straight from his body. The key was still clenched in his servo as it was thrown away to the side.

Gritting his denta in pain, Soundwave forced himself to look straight into Megatrons cold optics. They were so filled with happiness and joy at the sight of his pain. At the sight of energon running down his servos.

"Any last words, traitor?" Megatron asked.

Soundwave chuckled as he breathed heavily. The pain was excruciating, but he knew that everything would be worth it in the end. Slowly, he leaned forward until he was a few mere inches away from Megatrons face platings.

"I'm going to enjoy this," he said softly, with a smile on his face.

In the midst of the chaos, before Megatron could process Soundwave's words, Optimus Prime began to rise.

A groundbridge was already opened. Soundwave smirked as the Autobot leader, still alive and well, lunged through the portal.

Megatron twisted around, dropping Soundwave in the process, and lifted his blade in order to defend himself. He set off a few blasts- all which went straight through Optimus.

His optics widened in realization. Optimus had the relic that allowed objects to pass through him. Nothing could touch him.

The Autobot phased through Megatron, who looked startled and disheveled, before turning off the relic and sending his blade through Megatron's spark.

"Master!" Starscream cried out in panic from somewhere on the battlefield. Many of the Decepticons had stopped by now, along with the Autobots.

Lynlee couldn't help but smile in realization as she watched Megatron drop to one knee.

They had planned this all along, she thought to herself. Knowing she was safe and feeling relieved in knowing Soundwave hadn't betrayed her trust, she let herself fall into unconsciousness.

Megatron was not pleased. He tried to move, but was stopped from doing so as Optimus shoves the sword farther into his spark.

"You will never harm this planet, or any other planet ever again Megatron," Optimus stated firmly.

"Go to the pits," Megatron snarled back. His optics flickered as he struggled to remove himself from the blade.

The other Autobots were becoming to grin, suddenly realizing what was happening. The Decepticons, in the other hand, looked panicked. Many began to fly away, besides the ground vehicles.

Knockout looked very panicked.

"I surrender!" He shouted as he raised his arms.

"You fools! Fight! Continue to fight!" Megatron screamed.

"You've lost this war, Megatron," Optimus said firmly.

Soundwave looked at the mech and nodded. Megatron's optics continued to flicker as the sword was pulled away from his body.

Soundwave opened a second groundbridge after
moving far enough away and watched Megatron scream. The shadow zone began to take affect.

And the warlord was sucked right inside.

Soundwave stood in disbelief for a few moments after Megatron disappeared.

They won.

He began to feel dizzy. His helm moved down to stare at his appendage, or should he say, lack of appendage.

"Lynlee-" he tried to move forward, but Optimus gently held him back.

"Do not worry, Soundwave. She will be taken care of. For now, you should rest."

But he didn't want to rest. He wanted to go to Lynlee. Be with her. He would finally be able to do the things she wanted to do. Go to the places she wanted to go.

He wanted to be okay with her.

Actually, he wanted to be more than okay.

"Lynlee," Soundwave once again tried to move but fell backwards. He heard several footsteps approach but Optimus Prime was the only bot he could see as he fell into oblivion.

"She will be here when you wake up," Optimus promised.

Soundwave had no other choice but to believe him as he fell into darkness.

To begin, I want to apologize for mistakes. I will get to editing this chapter as soon as I can. I hope you guys don't feel like this chapter was rushed or bad- I tried my best to do quality over quantity but honestly it was hard to write. It's been so long since I've written but it was so much fun.

This is actually what I planned out before hand, though so I knew what was supposed to happen.

Please comment and let me know what you think!

Also, feel free to vote!

Lots of love💕
