After several hours of driving; Ryan parked in a very busy car park just outside of Florence, his head was pounding, but he was determined not to let it show.
"Right- Mr McCafferson, I'll let you take it from here." He said, pulling up the handbrake and knocking the gearstick into neutral.
When there was no response Ryan sighed and looked behind him to see that everyone was asleep except Lucy, who sat in the front seat looking straight at Ryan.
"How the hell can they just fall asleep? We all had a good nine hours last night." He chuckled, his gaze meeting hers as he began to feel more sincere,
"God, you're beautiful.." he breathed, facing her as she began to speak,
"Three years.. what the hell am I going to do after that?" She asked, her eyes glistening.
"Anything you like." He told her, maintaining eye contact before she took a hold of his collar and pushed her lips against his, sitting on his lap and gradually wrapping one arm around his neck as he felt her waist, closing his eyes as he gently tasted her loving lips.

Martin winked his eyes open, surprised that he had managed to fall asleep. He briefly poked his head up to spot Ryan and Lucy immersed in a passionate kiss before quickly looking down again, picking up his phone but seeing no new messages from Zoe. He then found himself looking through old photographs- or not even old, but from last summer, when he was previously in Florence with Emily and Martha.
"Three years isn't long enough." Whimpered Lucy from the front, Martin listened in, feeling guilty, knowing better than to interrupt.
"Think of all the things we can do in three years." Ryan encouraged her, rubbing his hands up her arms.
"Think of all the things we could have done in ten.. twenty.. fifty years." Whispered Lucy, Martin could tell that she was crying now, from the jerkiness of her voice.
Everything was silent for a few moments before Lucy spoke again, "y-you're the only person I've ever loved." She whimpered, wrapped her arms around his neck.
"Damn Luce, you're a cold-hearted girl." He replied, brushing his nose against hers, "but I guess.. at least I'll spend these few years with someone I've spend my whole life procrastinating about."
"Procrastinating?" Flirted Lucy, through her sad gaze up at Ryan.
"I love you, Lucy Jandon." He whispered, honestly.
"I love you, Ryan Thompson." She Replied as he tilted her head with his hand under her chin, closing his eyes and he kissed her once again.

Martin made eye contact with Ollie who had just woken up from the seat beside him, but Jemma was resting her head on his chest; her eyes had been open for a while now.
When Ollie noticed her there beside him he looked into her eyes seeing tears pour out of them as she had been listening to Ryan and Lucy. He wrapped an arm around her, bringing her close to him and kissing her head as she closed her eyes on his shoulder. Martin could see the veins in Ollie's neck strain as he struggled to remain strong for her.

Martin knew that waiting would only prolong their agony, so he decided to stand up, causing everyone to stop what they were doing and look up at him.
"Shall we?" He began, raising an eyebrow as he picked up his jacket, holding it over his shoulder.
Cloda was still lying asleep in a seat to herself. Her long ginger hair lay smoothly over her back, she really was very beautiful.
Martin put his hand on her shoulder and tapped her slightly,
"Hey, Clodes." He whispered, watching her beautiful green eyes blink open.
"Hey, sir." She moaned, sitting up and rubbing her eyes, "Florence time?"
"Yep." He replied, walking up to the front of the bus, patting Ryan's back before reaching into the door compartment and grabbing his old wedding ring, clasping it in his right hand as he walked outside into the cool, refreshing air. He slipped the ring into the inside pocket of his tanned coat, putting his hands in the outside pockets and looking up at the sky.
"D'ya need to pay and display here?" Martin Asked, looking over to Ryan.
"Already sorted." Ryan replied, flashing his ticket before putting it on the windscreen and locking the van as everyone departed.
"Mate, you're amazing, thank you so much!" Martin said, taking out his wallet and reaching out for money.
"Seriously Sir- for the amount of money you've spent on us I think I can spare five quid." Laughed Ryan, putting his hand over his wallet and pushing it away, "Come on let's go and explore this city, looks bloody beautiful."
Martin smiled, "alright then."
Ryan and Lucy linked arms and walked in a jaunting pace beside Ollie and Jemma who gradually took each other's hands. Martin turned on his phone to google maps to navigate his way around the city.
The weather was quite dull, the sky looked as if it might burst, but that didn't stop the six of them from being wowed by the archaic architecture of the blue and white churches and monuments.
Cloda took out her well used orange Panasonic camera, taking snaps of her immediate new favourite city.
"I wanna move here one day." Said Lucy, stopping every few steps just to gaze up in awe.
"I don't see why you shouldn't." Jemma replied,
"I'll come visit like every day!" Cloda added,
"Yeah me too." Added Ollie,
"Me three." Intruded Martin, still fascinated by the beautiful medical buildings, and picturing him there last year with Martha and Emily.
"You've been here before- right?" Asked Cloda, looking up at her teacher.
"I have, indeed." He replied, glancing down at her curious eyes.
"When?"
"Last July." He told her, fiddling with the ring in his pocket.
Cloda knew that this place would be full of memories, she looked back at the others who gave a sympathetic gaze as she patted his back in a friendly manner.
"Let's meet back here in a couple hours- say five o'clock?" Martin suggested,
"Yeah, sure." They replied, nodding their heads.
Martin smiled back at them before returning his hands to his pockets and walked in the direction of the Ponte Vecchio Bridge.
