After falling asleep, Martin woke up to the sound of the door knocking. Zoe was still asleep with her blonde head resting on his chest.
Martin began to button up his shirt again, "Come in." He said, picking up his phone from the bedside table.
Ollie cautiously walked in, looking at him,
"Is she alright?" He asked.
Martin nodded, his arms still wrapped around her.
"What about Mrs Watson?" He asked.
Martin shrugged his shoulders, "she needs some time away."
"Was she really that bad?" He asked,
"Yeah." Said Martin, looking back down to Zoe and stroking her hair.
Ollie looked at her with pity, "stay with her, sir. She needs you."
Martin shook his head, sitting up, "what do you need, Ollie?" He asked,
"Can I use the shower in your room? I seem to be last in the queue for my one and Ryan is taking forever." He laughed.
Martin smiled, handing him the keys, "what time is it?" He asked,
"Half five." Ollie replied, "Miss said we'd leave at half 6 but I'm easy if you guys don't want to go."
"Nah, we'll go." Said Martin, blankly smiling.
"Thanks, I'll give these back in ten minutes." Said Ollie, walking away and closing the door.
Martin rolled back over and hugged Zoe again, kissing the top of her head as she gradually woke up.
"Hey." He said, "how you feeling?"
"Okay." She told him, sitting up and wiping her eyes. "I should get a shower."
Martin nodded, sliding his hands off her and sitting up as she walked into the bathroom and closed the door.
Martin took out his laptop and found the video of his and Emily's first dance still open.
He watched it with a smile, remembering the good times as Emily brought everyone else into the dance with them, he saw all his old friends dancing with their previous partners beside them as Martin span Emily around in circles before they slow-danced at the end of the song and Emily pulled him in for a kiss.
He flicked through the other pictures from that night, he hadn't really looked through these before. There was a photo of Emily laughing with a glass of champagne in her hand. She was laughing at something Martin had said, who was smirking as he raised a glass. Martin looked back at these photos with a smile, but knowing that his relationship with Emma had more bad days than good, and he was only remembering the good times.
The door knocked again and Ollie walked in,
"Hey." Said Martin, looking up from the screen and taking the keys back. "Thanks."
Ollie took a brief glance at the laptop, "when's the last time you looked at those photos?" He asked,
"I don't think I ever have." Martin admitted, closing out of the screen.
As Ollie walked out Martin decided to go onto settings to change his password, he thought about different ones, but concluded on zoezaraflynn.
When Zoe walked out of the bathroom, Martin was gone.
Zoe took her black dress out of her suitcase. She put it on, looking at herself in the mirror, the silk dress was off-the-shoulder with short sleeves. It flowed to just below her knees with a slim fit, she couldnt stop looking to her stomach, she knew there wouldn't be a noticeable bump for over a month, but she just looked in awe of seeing something.
She straightened and curled her blonde hair before doing her makeup, thinking of Martin as she pressed on her red lipstick. She didn't want to start a relationship that she wouldn't be able to keep, hence why she didn't want to kiss him anymore, but when he held her earlier in bed and ran his hands all over her, she had never felt so safe and protected. She always felt anxious when Alex had done that to her, but with Martin she felt absolute comfort.
At half past six Zoe spritzed on some floral perfume before walking out of her room and seeing the other six waiting outside.
When she saw Martin she blushed, he was wearing a white shirt and a black tie, and he just smiled when he saw her. "You ready?" He asked her,
"I am, Mr McCafferson." She replied, winking at him.
Martin took Zoe's arm, walking out of the hotel,
"You look amazing." He whispered in her ear, looking into her deep winged eyes, shadowed with gold.
"You need to stop caring about looks." Chuckled Zoë, wrapping her arm around his shoulder.
"Well you're easy on the eyes. Aesthetically pleasing." He justified, wrapping his arm around her waist, "those Americans are gonna be all over you."
"By the time you come to visit I'll have loads of kids." Laughed Zoe, "all with different dads!"
"Sounds like an exciting life to live." Said Martin, gazing into her eyes as they walked down the footpath.
"You should join me." She said,
"I should." Said Martin, before he kissed her forehead, "but I can't."
Zoe leant her head against his shoulder as they walked on by.
"This looks like a nice place." Said Ryan, peering in the window of a restaurant. "No music playing, how dull."
Martin and Zoe looked in,
"There's a lady at the counter," said Zoe, "go on inside and ask if we can play."
"W-what? Just me?" Asked Martin, feeling uneasy.
"Go on, woo her." Laughed Zoe, pulling Martin towards her, unbuttoning his top button and neatening his hair again.
"Go on, sir!" Encouraged Ollie, laughing as Martin walked towards the doors.
"I've had a head injury today, I shouldn't be doing this sort of stuff." Complained Martin, feeling nervous.
"We'll be right outside the window." Said Zoe, patting his back.
"I take back all those nice things I said about you earlier." He laughed, opening the door and walking inside.
