Martin sat back down on the bus, Lucy climbed back up on the top bunk, trying to hide her tears.
"Luce? Luce are you alright?" Asked Jemma,
"I'm fine." Replied Lucy, crawling into her sleeping bag and facing the wall.

Martin sat down on the seat with his hands over his mouth. Shocked that he actually told Zoe about Martha, and that Lucy knew.
"Where's Zoë?" Asked Martin, looking up,
"She's still outside, we couldn't speak to her." Said Cloda.
Martin looked down with dread,
"We don't need to know what happened- we just want you to talk to her." Said Ollie, looking sternly at Martin.
"I'm sorry guys..." said Martin, "I'm sorry for being so indifferent, I'm sorry for not explaining things and for being off for so long.."
"It's alright, sir. Just talk to her."
Taking a gulp of water, Martin wiped his brow and stood up,
"There's a restaurant about half a mile over there in the village." Said Martin, pointing to the lights in the distance. "Go get yourself some dinner, we'll join you there and pay for it."
Everyone got up and left, and Martin followed them outside.
The air was beginning to cool as he made his way towards Zoe, who still sat on the sand.
"Hi.." he said, sitting down beside her, feeling awkward.
Zoe looked over at him with red eyes, shivering in the cold.
"Zoe.." he said, noticing her shiver, he took off his jacket and placed it around her arms. "I'm sorry.." he sighed, "I'm sorry for lashing out like that.."
"I shouldn't have asked questions.." croaked Zoe, "i shouldn't have been like that."
"I should have answered them before you asked." Said Martin, "I just hate reminding myself of it."
Zoe held his hand, "I reminded you of it, just when you were getting over it.. and I can't forgive myself." She said.
Martin shook his head, "I think of it anyway. And now that you know.. I've got an alibi. I'll never be over it, and I'm sorry I was angry." His eyes tensed, "I just miss my little girl."
Zoe wrapped her arms around him, not knowing how hard it was for him to keep going.

Ryan sat at the table beside Ollie, Jemma, Cloda and Lucy.
"That was a huge change in dynamic." Said Cloda, looking down to the menu.
"I know right, I've never seen mr McCafferson so close to tears." Said Jemma,
"What happened to our flirty teachers? What did they say to each other?" Asked Ryan,
"His daughter." Said Lucy, "She asked about his daughter."
"Oh... god.." Ollie sighed, "He loses it when they talk about Martha.."
"He lost his child. Anyone would." Replied Lucy, making everyone stare at her.
"Do you know what happened, Lucy?" Asked Ryan, speaking for everyone.
Lucy opened her mouth to speak, but was interrupted by the waitress.
"To drink?" Asked the waitress, holding her notebook and pen.
"Tap water, please." Said Lucy, coughing.
"Same." Said Jemma.
"Coke please." Said Ollie.
"Coke for me too." Said Cloda,
"Small beer for me." Said Ryan, making everyone turn.
After the waitress left Ollie laughed at Ryan, "beer? You're not old enough!"
"Apparently I look it." Said Ryan,
"Ry, you look about twelve." Chuckled Ollie.
"I think I see the teachers coming." Said Cloda, pointing to the bus which was moving towards the restaurant.
"We need to come up with a band name." Said Jemma, thanking the waitress who gave them the drinks.
"What about.. Missing Martha." Suggested Lucy.
Before anyone could argue Zoe and Martin walked into the restaurant.
"Hi guys." Greeted Martin.
Martin looked over at Ryan who was drinking his beer.
"How old are you Ryan?" He asked, sitting down beside him.
"Come on sir I'm eighteen in three weeks!" Complained Ryan.
"Even if you were eighteen you're not allowed to drink on a school trip. You're not a big boy yet." Said Martin, taking the beer off him and tipping it up, downing it.
Ryan stood looking at Martin transfixed as he placed the now-empty bottle on the table, sighing.
"How the hell did you do that?" Said Ryan with wide eyes,
"Practice." Replied Martin, winking, as the waitress came over again.

After receiving their meals and a top-up of their drinks, Zoë; who was sitting beside Martin, spoke.
"So how long are we staying in Paris?"
"A couple days- three at least, I've got plans." Said Martin, sipping another beer.
"Elaborate please." Said Ryan, taking a chip from the centre of the table and dunking it in ketchup.
"Tomorrow we've got the gig, so I've booked a nice hotel for you all to get ready in, and we can stay in there for two nights, and then I suppose we can do a bit of sight seeing and... I've got something else sorted before we can go down south." He said, putting down his bottle and running his fingers through his hair.
"Sounds great." Said Cloda, smiling at Ryan.
"I think I need an early night." Sighed Zoë, looking out at the darkened sky.
"Same, I'm exhausted and I already slept for an hour." Added Martin,
"Well you have just had two bottles of beer." Remarked Ollie,
"Ah well." Sighed Martin, taking out his phone. "Have you thought of your band name?"
"Missing Martha." Said Ryan, bluntly without expression.
Martin's face dropped, he put his phone on the table and handed it to Ryan.
"We wanted an indifferent title. Alliteration, and a name only we know." Ryan said, trying to justify the name.
Martin took a large chug of beer, "there's a lot of people in the world called Martha." He said, trying to refrain.
Zoe looked at Cloda, trying to understand what was going on.
"What's your ambition in all this?" Asked Martin, speaking his mind.
"What do you mean?" Asked Jemma,
"You know what I mean; Missing Martha. This has nothing to do with me. So why do you have to constantly remind me of my personal life." He said, feeling teased,
"If it wasn't for you we couldn't be a band, we probably wouldn't even be friends. You put us in this group five years ago, you criticised us and told us what was good, you helped us become what we are now. This band has got something to do with you, and we want this name to be an indifferent dedication to you." Said Jemma, looking into Martin's eyes.
Martin looked down, he sighed, knowing he had lost, yet feeling slightly touched.
"I'd have went for Mad Martha." He laughed, "crazy kid she was."
The band began to smile, feeling him open up. He had never opened up to anyone before about Martha. "I brought her here once: for her fourth birthday, 12th of May," he pointed to the pier, "We had a picnic over there, she kept throwing the bread in the sea to feed the fish."
Zoe patted Martin's back, smiling at him.
"It wasn't quite 5 years ago when I made you a band; it was 12th of May, nearly five years ago. The day Martha was born. I remember." Said Martin.
Cloda's mouth dropped slightly as she felt herself tear up.
"So, as it seems, the name does suit." Martin sighed.
"Missing Martha."
