B L A V E Y  S O U L M A T E  A U  O N E S H O T

Louis "Kid Blink" Ballatt thought he always knew what he would do whenever he'd meet his soulmate.

His soulmate was David Jacobs, he knew this because he was born with that name on his wrist.

He always thought that when he met David Jacobs, he would tell him a flirty pick up line or a joke.

He wanted to be able to do something to break the tenstion in the very beginning, but even as he stood in front of him, he was speechless.

It was the very beginning of his senior year at his high school and it was his last class of the day.

It seemed like everything was going perfect for him as the teacher called his name out during role call.

It was so close to going perfect, but the teacher just had to call out the next name.

"David Jacobs."

"H-H-Here." A voice stuttered out, only a few feet away.

As soon as Blink heard his name, he turned around to see this David already staring at him, in what one would say, in amazement after hearing Blink's name.

Blink was frozen silent, he couldn't speak, he couldn't do anything but stare back into the boys eyes.

The teacher soon noticed what was going on after a few minutes and got mad that the two boys were too distracted.

She then decided to punish them by sending them both out into the hall, and this is where they were now.

"I can't believe they kicked us out, I can't risk being kicked out of a class! My parents are going to kill me!" David freaked out while Blink looked at him in sympathy. 

"I'm sorry...this was kind of my fault-"

"No, no , it was both of us..."

The two boys who've both waited so long for each other and waited so long to talk to the other one, was silent.

They were being forced to spend time together in an awkward silence.

It wasn't going well for either of of them, they both were too scared to talk and risk anything.

At least they were until Blink said one of the most stupidest things you could say in this situation, "So...how's the weather up there?"

That's right folks, to start a conversation of them being soulmates, he made a joke about how tall David was, and you won't believe his response.

"Wow, I can't believe you stooped lower than you already are."

He responded back with a short joke, and I swear you've never seen two boys grin so wide before.

"So, you're David Jacobs?" Blink asked as David nodded.

"Yeah but just call me Davey, everyone else does. Louis Ballatt...is that Italian?" Davey asked curiously and sat down on the ground beside Blink.

"It is Italian, my biological parents came here from Italy before I was born."

The two forgot that they were sitting outside a classroom that day, they were just two guys talking and embracing the time they had together.

"What's your brother's name?"

"Les, I think you'd like him, he's sarcastic."

"Gee, you think so high of me, don't you?"

"Nah, can't with your height."

It was like that until the final bell ringed, signaling they could go home.

It was obvious neither one wanted to leave but Davey had to walk Les home while Blink had to pick the other kids up and take them back to the orphanage.

They walked back into the classroom and started packing up their stuff, both glancing at each other repeatedly.

Blink finished first and picked his bag up, but he waited.

When Davey finished, he looked up and couldn't help but smile softly at the sight of Blink waiting for him, "So, am I ever going to talk to you again?" He asked.

"You ask like it's not obvious we will." Blink grinned, making Davey blush.

Blink handed him a piece of paper and started walking out, "See you soon Jacobs."

Davey waited until he was out of sight before looking down at the paper.

It was Blink's number with a heart.

You can bet that Davey was blushing all the way home with Les questioning him like crazy.
