CHAPTER 5
"Take another shot." Sammy snapped his fingers across from the table, and I rolled my eyes at his demand before flipping him off.
I took yet another shot, and at this point, I could barely taste the alcohol anymore.
I think it killed my tastebuds.
"You okay?" Skye giggled near my ear as her eyes gleamed with amusement.
I turned my head toward her, and suddenly the world started to spin. "Whoa." A laugh escaped my lips as I looked back at Sammy.
He was raising his hand in the air with the ball, trying to aim the shot into our cups.
A ball was soon bouncing into one of the cups, and he snapped toward me once more.
"Looks like someone's getting drunk for the first time tonight." His eyes were laced with mischief, and I narrowed my eyes at him as I met the cup with my lips.
"That someone is you?" I questioned with a tilt of my head before downing the shot and slamming it back onto the table.
"Very funny." He said in a monotone voice as he and Ryan awaited Skye's shot, which made it.
I jumped up in surprise, throwing an arm around Skye as we jumped up and down together in excitement.
"Great job, one down!" Sammy jumped up and down as he mimicked our actions, grabbing Ryan's shoulders.
I squinted my eyes in his direction before taking a ball from Skye and taking my turn.
Which, did not make it.
It didn't even come close to the table.
"Now if you were aiming to not hit the table, then that would've been a good shot." Sammy chirped from across the table, and I so badly wanted to strangle him.
"Hey, you tried," Ryan added in a comforting tone, and I gave Sammy a pleased look back to Ryan being on my side.
Thank you Skye for flirting with him all night to make him think we're cool.
The game went on for a while, and to be honest, Skye and I were not doing so hot. We took multiple shots back to back, as for the guys, they made multiple shots and were not drunk at all.
Now for us, we got a little too drunk.
"Oh no!" My eyes widened toward Skye as my bottom lip pouted, "We lost!" I slurred loudly, making Skye giggle.
"We should've known." She leaned closer so I could hear over the music, and I shrugged my shoulders. I felt a gaze on us and looked up to be met with Ryan and Sammy standing in front of us.
"Whoa, when did you get there?" I stumbled back into Skye with her catching me.
She was a little more laid back when she was drunk, which was weird considering how bossy and loud she was sober. Now for me, turns out I was very talkative.
"Sam, how the hell are you getting home?" Sammy was now looking down on me as I held a cup in my hand. His eyes filled with concern, which was odd coming from him but it probably was the alcohol making me think he actually cared.
I shrugged a shoulder, "Skye was my ride."
"Yeah, not anymore." Ryan walked closer to Skye who stood beside me, taking her drink out of her hand along with mine. "You guys can stay here for the night."
"What?!" I yelled louder than intended making both boys flinch at the sound.
"Please," Sammy raised his hands to his ears, "The yelling is loud, and that says a lot with the music blaring."
Skye giggled at Sammy's comment before stumbling into me causing me to laugh as well.
A sigh escaped the lips of Ryan as he grabbed ahold of Skye's forearm. "Here, everyone is basically leaving now anyway. I'll lead y'all upstairs."
"Sammy! Come for the sleepover!" My words fell out of my mouth, but I had no filter at all. I thought it would be fun having a sleepover with a bunch of people even if Sammy was to be there.
The more the merrier, am I right?
Sammy's eyes rolled before he hesitated toward me. He looped his arm in mine, and I looked up at him as my eyes filled with excitement at our newly said sleepover. The dim lighting in the basement reflected off his eyes. He seemed slightly scared being so close to me with his body barely touching mine, yet he still proceeded to follow Ryan and Skye up the stairs.
Ryan had helped Skye up the steps, and they were both now waiting at the top as I barely could make it up a few steps without laughing at how funny it was.
It made it even more funny at how impatient Sammy was getting.
"Sam, please, get your ass up off the steps." He scolded once I flipped down onto the steps, laughing up at Sammy.
"But it's so funny!"
"Yeah, you're unbelievable." He said unimpressed, helping me back up to stand up straight. He held onto my arm as we reached each step with us finally getting to the top.
"Wow, that was fun!" I looked back down at the stairs as Sammy pulled me far away from the stairs.
"Skye, why can't she be like you? Quiet and calm."
Skye shrugged her shoulder, "It's Not this way when we're sober."
"Yeah, which makes no sense." Ryan chuckled, trailing down another hallway to a stairwell that was now going up.
Sammy just stared at the stairs with a blank stare then slowly led his eyes to me who finally realized there were stairs.
"You know what, I'm not dealing with that again." He said, sweeping me up off my feet into bridal style.
I squealed as I was flung into the air with his arms holding my legs, and lower back, making sure not to invade into any other areas.
"Wow, I didn't know you were this strong."
He didn't reply though, he just kept walking until we made it to a separate bedroom from Skye and Ryan. The room was quite big, and my eyes wandered around it as the light was flicked on.
"Where's Skye?!"
"She's going to sleep in her own bed, and you're here." He dropped me onto the bed, and I squealed as I hit the bed with a small bounce.
"Sammy!" I yelled, pointing a finger at him.
"Sam." He replied, moving the blankets before patting the bed, "Bedtime."
"Isn't it funny how we have the same name?"
"Yep." He pushed my shoulders down slightly, grabbing the blankets as he was pulling them over me.
"Hey! My shoes!" I slurred with a laugh escaping my lips before kicking my feet out from under the blankets.
Sammy just sighed dramatically.
Yet, he still helped by taking one off at a time. He untied the laces and got them off with ease before covering my feet up once more and giving me a small look before backing away.
"Anything else, princess?"
"Ew, don't call me that." I snapped as my eyes were fluttering close due to the room spinning. My mind was spinning in circles as I was falling asleep.
"That was sarcasm, but...you know what, never mind." He patted the blanket next to me and started to make his way out of the room before stopping in the doorway, "You're so going to be hungover tomorrow."
But, I didn't comprehend what he said because my mind was drifting off to sleep.

My alarm started blaring as I was peacefully sleeping, making the beginning of my headache that much worse. I fluttered my eyes open as I squinted toward the sunlight beaming through the windows. I quickly pat the bed for my phone until I found it, turning the alarm off and throwing the phone back onto the bed.
Good thing it was the weekend.
My eyes started to close once more until I remembered where I was, and what happened. They shot open as I sprung up on my bed, looking around for Skye.
I quickly checked my phone to see any notifications, but the only ones I seemed to see were from my parents.
20 phone calls from Mom, and 40 unread messages.
That's not even the ones from my Dad, he ended up leaving just as many.
Well, I'm in deep shit.
