They both woke up that morning in each others arm. Magnus couldn't felt happier woke up seeing the love of his life back in his arm. He fell asleep with Alec on his chest and side lying. He kissed Alec several times on his forehead making him smiled. "I love waking up to this." Alec looked up and kiss Magnus on his lips. They hugged each other before Magnus woke up and helped Alec to the bathroom. Alec sat on the bed with his legs on the floor, he felt dizzy when he want to get up but luckily Magnus was there to support him. But after a while he was alright and he went to the toilet. The couple enjoyed their breakfast together before Dr Ranver walked in to see them together. "I'm glad you guys made peace with each other. We need to take some blood and we're gonna see how the babies are doing." She gestured while letting the nurse in so she can took Alec's blood. Magnus stared at Alec's arm all covered up in bruises due to previous blood taking. He wonders how Alec managed to stand all of this but again Alec is a lot stronger than he is. Even though he is the Alpha but Alec made him stronger. After they were done taking his blood they pushed the ultrasound machine next to Alec and this is the first time after 2 months Magnus separated with Alec, he got to see his twins. "Have you guys know the sex yet?" Dr Ranver asked while Alec pulled up his shirt exposing his bulging tummy. "We thought we want to keep it a secret and let it be a surprised." Magnus said while Alec looked at him with a smile. "Old school, I like it." Dr Ranver smiled while placing the probe on Alec's tummy. He winced upon the coldness but warmth after he saw how the twins heartbeats flashes through the screen. "They are both healthy and very active. 2 months more to go Alec. Are you ready?" Alec looked at Magnus and his face shown fear. Magnus smiles and kissed his forehead. They both looked at Dr Ranver and she smiled looking at the couples. "I know its scary but you'll get though this. Now we are gonna release you today if the result came back normal. But my advice, no heavy work. A lot of walking might put you fast in labor but we don't want early labor. You might wanna start packing for hospital pack, get the nursery done. You need to rest, so you will have more energy. You were exhausted when you came in ER that day. Breathing class, I see you participate in the antenatal class as well. You know they said it takes a whole village to raise a kid so you have 2, I suggest some family support. Above all Alexander, promise to come to ER if you had any pain or symptoms related. Soon after you deliver we will let the Oncology doctor to have a look at you." Alec and Magnus looked at Dr Ranver listening to every words. They both nodded at every words.

As promised, the results wasn't that satisfactory but its better than before when Alec came to them. Apparently the cancer started to damaging his blood and he's getting weaker as ever but they can't give the treatment yet not until the twins are born. But Magnus promised to keep an eye on him especially in this crucial months. When they both arrived at the loft Alec got this weird feeling. He felt the loft was different. Magnus has moved a few furniture here and there. "Why did you move the furniture?" Alec asked concerned. "I need clear path from the nursery to the kitchen. So you wont stubbed your toes when going to the kitchen preparing the milk for the twins." Alec looked at him with a smile. He never felt this fatherly figure in Magnus, he walked to the bedroom trying to get some rest but he passed the nursery and stopped. He went inside the nursery and he gasped. Magnus finished the room and the furniture are all in place. The painting was complete and there's two in everything. Two cribs, two bedside table for nappy changed and even two rocking chair for him and Magnus. He felt warmth and tears falling on his cheeks. Then he felt Magnus hold his waist and he turned. "Thank you for this." Alec said and Magnus smiled, kissing him on the lips and took Alec's bag to their bedroom. Alec know now how Magnus was actually serious in building a family with him and no one in the world can say otherwise. Not even that bitch Camille.

It was Saturday afternoon, Alec and Magnus was hanging around at the loft watching Netflix. Magnus was lying down on the couch with Alec lying on his back in between Magnus' legs. He hugged Alec and wrapped his arm on Alec's tummy and Alec feed him the popcorn. He could feel how the twins keep moving under his palm. He couldn't bring Alec out frequent now since Alec keep having difficult to breathe when he walk more, Alec also always felt dizzy when he stand too long making Magnus scared he might fell again. But the most scaring part was Alec's nightmare. He still having them almost every night. The worst part was Alec keep telling Magnus to chose the babies not him. When the day comes to point where he has to choose between Alec or the twins he wont be able to pick. He wanted all, he's that selfish. He doesn't want the twins without Alec and for sure Alec doesn't want to live without the twins. But he refused to think about that now. He wanted to spend his time with Alec and not gonna miss the moment. He's lucky Raphael a good friend of his take over the company for a while. He cant focus on his work without thinking about Alec. Whenever he's at work he will think on going home to Alec. When he's at home he can take a look at Alec better. So he decide to work from home while Raphael take over in the office. Suddenly Alec sat up and walked away. "Where are you going?" Magnus asked. "I need to pee." Alec said and the fact it might be the tenth time he went making Magnus chuckled.

Magnus was still on the couch when Alec came back. He sat down beside Magnus and took the popcorn bowl on his tummy. Magnus couldn't help but laughed at him. He always used his tummy like a table to hold his food. He crawled to Alec and lay his head on Alec's lap. Alec stroked Magnus' hair while eating the popcorn, he feed Magnus once and awhile. "What do we want to name them?" Suddenly Magnus asked making Alec looked down to him and sighed. He put down the bowl on Magnus body cause he can't see him. "What you have in mind?" Alec asked, trying to see what Magnus was thinking. "I know one if we have a boy." Alec smiled hearing he might have a boy. How they will end up look like Alec or Magnus. "What is it?" Magnus sighed before he said it. "Max. After your brother." Alec didn't say a word for a while and Magnus notice how quiet he got. "Alexander? Everything's okay?" He sat up and looked at Alec. He saw Alec was staring at the other side hiding his tears. "Hey, I'm sorry. I didn't mean to make you upset." Alec shake his head, "No, its not your fault. Its just I miss him so much. I miss his smiles, I miss his hugs. How he loves to hug my legs not letting go. I miss his voice calling out to me. I remember him always jumping on my bed every morning to wake me up so I can make him breakfast. He's favorite is the blueberry pancake." Alec smiled in his tears and now Magnus know why Alec loves to eat blueberry pancake so much. He misses Max and he's eating his guilt. "I just wish I could hold him one last time." Alec closed his eyes and tears flowing on his cheek. He wiped it with his hand and Magnus couldn't help feeling guilty making Alec cry again. "Hey, come here." He gestured Alec to a hug and Alec did. He lay his head on Magnus chest and wrap his body. Magnus kiss his forehead and rubbed his arm. "You know what I'm thinking?" Alec looked up and listening to what Magnus had in mind but was interrupted by a knocked on the door. "Who the hell is that?" Magnus said groaning for ruining the moment. "Language!" Alec said when Magnus parted from their hugs and stood up. 

He opened the door and was greeted with balloons and boxes. "What the-" they pushed him away from the door and handed him the boxes which 3-tiered making him wonder who was it behind. "Surprise!" It was Izzy, but it wasn't just her. She's with Jace, Clary, Simon and Maryse. Then out of sudden Cat shows up with Madzie and she hold a teddy bear was half of her size. She ran towards Alec and hugged him on the couch handing him the teddy bear. "Aww thank you sweety." Alec looked back on his shoulder and he saw all the commotions before he stood up and walked to them. He couldn't help but laughed at Magnus cause he was completely ignored by them. They were lots of gifts and balloons all over the apartment. Alec was smiling happily and he hugged his mum tight resting his nose on her shoulder. He miss her so much even though they met at the hospital but he wants to see her more. Later Izzy and Clary hugged him. "What's all this?" Alec asked and hugged Jace and Simon after. "We are throwing you a baby shower, duh." Izzy claimed. Alec helped Magnus getting the boxes down but Magnus pulled away and asked him to sit back on the couch. Izzy grabbed Alec and pulled him to the couch. "Izzy be careful with him would you!" Magnus shouted at her but Alec gave him a frowning look signing him not to get angry. Magnus put the boxes down and hugged Cat before closing their front door.

They all sat in the living room and Magnus and Alec sat next to each other. They were opening gifts and Maryse made them some macaroons with small sandwiches. Looks like they were having a tea party which Madzie enjoys so much. Alec tied a pink ribbon he got from one of the gifts to her waist making her dress even more beautiful. She ran around the apartment playing with the ribbons and balloons. "You're gonna be a great parent Alec, you have it in you." Maryse noted making Alec blushed. Lets see what we have next for you guys, Clary suggested. She was sitting on Jace's lap hugging him before handed the box to Magnus. He put on Alec's lap and he opened it with a smiled. Out of all of the gifts which mostly goes to the twins Alec love this one the most. It was a camera. Clary loves capturing thing and she gives Alec a chance to capture their growing family. There's a note in the box says, 'Life's a collections of moments, every picture tells a story. It's the little thing that counts.' Alec read it with Magnus and smiled. "Thank you Clary, I love it." Izzy grabbed the camera and she turned it on. Apparently Clary had put the memory card and battery all charged before she puts it in the box cause she wants them to try it out. "Lets take a picture." She said holding it onto her eyes. Magnus grabbed Alec's shoulder and pulled him closer. She snapped a pic and snapped it few more times. Magnus leaned and kiss Alec's forehead while Izzy took the pic. She looked down at the camera view and saw the photo she took. "Beautiful." She tried to holds her tear but she couldn't. Thats when everybody tried to grabbed the camera and took their photo. They had so much fun and Magnus had the last grip on the camera. He took a photo of the Lightwood family with Jace and Isabelle at each of Alec's leg, Maryse sat on the couch arm holding Alec's body into a hug. He took the photo few times while they made different faces. Then he stood up showing the picture to Alec. Alec smiled looking at it. "If only dad and Max was here. Then we all complete. Its been a while since our family portrait are complete." Alec said sighing. He hated being the party pooper but he really miss his dad and Max. Izzy lay her head on Alec's lap while Jace stared at him. Maryse hugged Alec and stroking his arm. They couldn't help but shed a tear together. They spend all night together and Alec couldn't be happier. Cat helped Magnus to tidy up the loft while Madzie falls asleep on Alec's lap. Izzy and Clary was helping folded the babies clothes, separating them from boys and girls. They didn't know whether the babies are gonna be boys or girls which made them buying more clothes than ever. Alec keep letting them know to stop buying clothes since it will be wasted. They are not gonna wear it forever, eventually they will grow up and the clothes will end up in the store somewhere. After they all tidy up the loft and kept the things away, Cat took Madzie into her arms. Thanking them both for the good time but she has a duty the next day so she need to leave. So eventually they all packed up their stuffs and left the loft. They need to let Alec rest, he look exhausted and weak. It wasn't easy for Alec to let his family go but he was tired too. When they all left the loft, Alec and Magnus went to the bedroom and prepared themselves to sleep. Alec put on his sweatpants and a shirt. Magnus helped putting Alec's socks on. Alec leaned back rested his head on the pillow and Magnus joined besides him after he turned off all the light, leaving the nightstand next to Alec on. Alec couldn't sleep if the light is off, he was still scared of the dark. They were facing each other and Alec couldn't be more happier. "What were you gonna tell me earlier before we were interrupted?" Alec asked and Magnus smiled. "I'm thinking of a girls name too." Magnus smiled and his face were brightened up seeing Alec smile. "Yeah, what is it?" Alec was intrigued by it. "Sophia." Alec sat raised his body on his elbow looking at Magnus. "Izzy's middle name? But we have Max from my family, we should name one from your side." Magnus smiled. He leaned and kissed Alec on his lips, "Babe, they already got my family name. Including you" Alec rolled his eyeball and Magnus smirked. "Sophia Bane, Max Bane" he repeating it making Alec annoyed. "Lightwood-Bane." Alec stared at him looking angry. Magnus couldn't help being playful and he leaned, kissing Alec more and more making him a mess. "Magnus, stop. Its ticklish." Alec was laughing when Magnus rubbed his chin all over Alec's face making him tickles on the stubs. They end up falling asleep making each other laughed. Magnus love when Alec's on the happier side. He kissed him one more time when Alec falls asleep on his chest. Then he drifted off to sleep feeling happier than ever.
