Magnus woke up middle of the night reaching for Alec but he wasn't there. His side is empty and cold means he's been up for a while. "Alexander?" He called out but he didn't reply. He got up and went out from the room but he wasn't in the living room nor the kitchen. Then he remembers. He went to the guest room and opened the door. He saw Alec lying on bed with Madzie in his arm. They were hugging each other sleeping. Magnus leaned in and kissed Alec's forehead. He stirred in his sleep, squinting his eyes and looked on his side. Magnus smiled at him and he smiled back. "Sorry, she had a nightmare. I just put her down." Alec said and leaned back his head on the pillow. Magnus smiled, "It's okay. You want me to take her to our room? You will be more comfortable sleeping there." He whispered to him not letting Madzie woke up. Alec nodded and he let Magnus carried Madzie from his arm. He stood up getting Madzie in Magnus' arm and they both went to the bedroom. Magnus put Madzie in middle of them and Alec went to his side of the bed. They both looked at each other with Madzie in middle of the view. Magnus leaned in and kissed Alec's forehead, "Goodnight love." He smiled looking at Alec when he mouthed back goodnight wish to him. Magnus put his hand on Alecs tummy along on top of Maddie's body wrapping it together with him. Then he fall asleep.

They woke up together that morning, Alec and Magnus in the kitchen making breakfast. Magnus was drinking his coffee and Alec was drinking his tea. They were talking when they saw Madzie come out from the room. She rubbed her eyes and walked towards the couple. "Morning baby, wanna breakfast?" Alec held out his arm and Madzie hugged him nodding yes. He carried Madzie on his lap kissed his cheek. Magnus looked at Alec with a smirked making Alec raised his eyebrow. "What?" He asked Magnus since he doesn't understand what is that look for. "You used to woke up like that every morning and sat on my lap." He pouted making Alec laughed. "Magnus I'm not thin and skinny like I used too. I don't want to feel like a whale sitting on your lap." Magnus smirked at his face and he walked towards him. He leaned on his lips and kissed him long and deep kiss. "You're perfect, just the way you are. You're never fat and your carrying my babies. I never seen someone so beautiful as you Alexander." He smiled and kissed Alec's lips again. "So whats for breakfast Madz?" He asked and both Made and Alec shouted pancake. Magnus made the best pancakes with blueberry on top for Alec and Madzie couldn't help but pout, "I want blue-bewy too." She said with such cute pout. "Aww, she wants blue-bewwy too," Alec pouted at Magnus and making him grinned showing his straight teeth. Magnus put the blueberry on Madzie plates and squirted some whip cream on top of it. They both ate like they haven't ate in days.

After breakfast, Alec and Madzie spend their time on the couch watching cartoon. Magnus was at his desk finishing up his work and he was so stressed at something. He wanted to fire everyone at the company for being so slow and stupid. Alec saw how Magnus was stressed. He went to his boyfriend. He had his head in his hand on top of the table. He didn't realized Alec coming. Alec touched his shoulder and he flinched in surprised grabbing Alec's wrist. "Hey, its just me." Alec cupped Magnus cheek stroking it. Magnus let out a breath and leaned his head on Alec's tummy. He loves Alec's growing tummy not just because his children are in there but he loves how he can always leaned his head in comfort. Alec rubbed his hair calming him down. "Is everything okay?" Magnus let go of Alec and he let him sit on his lap facing to the computer. "I'm just stressed for the new project coming up. Raphael is on vacation till next week and the office is a mess. I cant get everything done from here." He sighed mentioning to Alec. "Why didn't you go to the office and finished it up?" He looked at Magnus and he looked back. "No, I cant leave you here. I can finished everything from here I just need few things from the office." He mentioned while clicking his mouse. "Magnus, I'm fine. Go finished your work. We'll see each other tonight okay?" He cupped Magnus face and made him looked in his eyes. "I'll be back in time for dinner I promised. You need to call me if anything promise me?" Alec put his one hand on his chest and one on the side taking a pledge. "Scouts honor." He smiled at Alec's gesture. He got up and went back to the couch letting Magnus get ready for work. He grabbed few things with him and he took his car key. "Alright I have my phone and my office phone number is on the table, now Alexander promised me you will call me if anything and Madzie take care of my prince okay?" Madzie nodded and Alec smiled when he heard Magnus called him prince. He kissed Alec's cheek before he stormed out.

Alec spend the day with Madzie playing with each other. Its lunch time and Alec can feel the twins being hungry, they non stop moving and kicking making Alec uncomfortable. He stood up and want to go to the kitchen but then he felt dizzy. He sat back down at the couch blinking his eyes but his visions is blurred. His head hurts and he feels his chest tight made him hardly breath. He want to reach for his phone to call Magnus when he felt the wave. He tried to hold on to the table but he failed. The next thing he knew was darkness and he heard Madzie's voice crying.

At Magnus' office

He was slammed with calls and meetings during the time. He usually would make conference meeting from his home and now he's at work he need settle everything before going home to Alec. He get inside his office and closed the door. He just finished a long meeting and its lunch time. Alec and Madzie must been having lunch at this time. He smiled looking at Alec's photo on his desk. He picked it up and rubbed Alec's photo. It was the photo he took when they were at the park sitting on the bench. Magnus still remembers it was the moment when he asked Alec to be his boyfriend. They were at the park bench facing the sunset. The evening was ember and the sky is cleared, the wind blew with dry leaves, it was the beginning of fall. He placed back the photo frame on the table and sat down. He started working on his project on the computer when suddenly his secretary knocked on the door. "Mr Bane?" "Yeah come on in. Anything Maia?" Maia has been Magnus' secretary for a while. She was Luke's adopted daughter and Luke was actually a police officer who found Alec after he was kicked out from his home. Since then Magnus owed him that much even though Luke said its nothing but Magnus would never thought what happened if Luke hasn't found Alec that night by the bridge. "Yeah I've someone in line 2 for you she said her name is Mrs Brosinger and she said she's your neighbor?" Magnus waved his hand signing he will take the call. He surprised Mrs Brosinger called him at his office since she knew Alec is at home. She is actually living in front of their loft, her husband is a developer and they have more than one property. He took the call and greeted himself to her, "Hello Mrs Brosinger, how may I help you?" "Magnus? Is everything okay in your apartment? I heard little girl crying for the last hour?" Magnus crooked his eyebrow and started to panicked. "Uhm, yeah sorry about that, I will handle it. Thank you." He put down the call and start to call home, no answer. He tried Alec's cell few times its not answering. He started to get panicked. He grabbed his coat and he told Maia he will go home. He drove his car hoping Alec was okay. Usually the ride will be 30 minutes but he managed to drive within 10 minutes. He didn't care if he was chased by police he just need to get home. He want to make sure Alec is okay. He wouldn't forgive himself if anything happened to Alec. He took the elevator and wished it would go faster. He groaned in frustration feeling everything around him moving so slow. He wished he would just use the stairs and he would arrive sooner. Soon as the elevator reached the top floor, he rushed to his loft grabbing his keys. Mrs Brosinger was right, he can hear Madzie crying. He got into the loft and he wished he didn't saw what in front of his eyes. Alec was on the floor by the living room table on his side with Madzie crying next to him. Madzie ran to him as soon as she saw Magnus. "Magnus..Alec won't wake up. He wont wake up." She cried sobbing in her voice and Magnus put her back on the floor. "Its okay sweet pea I'm here now." He rushed to Alec and grabbed his head on his lap. He has blood on his forehead probably due to the fall. "Alexander, oh god please wake up baby, wake up. please, oh please. Oh god." He couldn't help to pray as he want his Alexander to be okay. He keep on shaking his body to woke him up, but he failed. He grabbed his phone and start calling for an ambulance, he gave them the address and forced them to hurry.

Alec woke up with pain in his head. He blinked his eyes few times before he could adjusted to the light. But the light was so disturbing and the headache gets worst. He groaned in pain and he heard Magnus' voice. "Alexander." The voice is husky and cracked, never he felt so relieve in his life, and he tried to open his eyes again. He saw Magnus by his side stroking his cheek. He looks like he had been crying. He touched Magnus' cheek and he knows he had him worried. Magnus closed his eyes as Alec touched his cheek. Tears were flowing down and Alec wished it away. "Don't cry baby. I'm right here." Magnus couldn't help but too sobbed louder. He leaned his head on Alec's chest. "I'm so sorry, its all my fault. I'm so worried for you, for the babies." He said those words in sobbing and tears making Alec hold him even tighter. "Shh, shh its okay. I'm here now. I'm so sorry for making you worried. I tried to call you but everything happens so fast. I'm so sorry." Alec said while stroking Magnus' back. Magnus and Alec cuddle for a while and Magnus didn't want to let Alec go. He keep on hugging him fear he might lose him. He couldn't stop crying on Alec's chest. Alec keep stroking his hair calming him down. After a while somebody knocked on Alec's door and Cat came with Madzie and Dr Ranver by her side. "Madzie, ohh I'm so sorry baby girl." Madzie run and climbed on Alec's bed hugging him. "Are you okay now? Does your head hurt?" She said while pointing at Alec's head, which now only he realized he has a dressing on it. Alec nodded and Madzie kissed his cheek while Magnus leaned his forehead on Alec's head stroking his hand on Madzie's back. Alec looked back on Cat and Dr Ranver. "How were you feeling Alec?" Cat asked smiling at them. Alec nodded. "What happened?" Dr Ranver held a file in her hands and looking at both couples. "Come on Madz, we let Alec rest okay. We see them again tomorrow." Cat laid out her hand which Madzie grab unwillingly. She kissed Alec on his cheek and get down from the bed. They left the room leaving Alec and Magnus with Dr Ranver. "Your blood dropped again, it come down to 6 and we need to start transfusion. You were malnourished and dehydrated, your sodium count is low and so was your platelet. Mr Lightwood we talked about this. You can't keep hiding things and if there's new symptoms appear you need to come to the hospital. You're not just risking your life but your babies as well." Alec looked at Magnus and he couldn't help to cry again. Magnus couldn't looked at his face and instead he looked down. His eyes were red and swollen. "Its all my fault, I didn't notice Alec's changes. If only I focused on him more than worked it wont be like this." Alec shake his head and cupped Magnus cheek. "Don't say that babe please. I'm sorry I haven't told you about the dizziness and the weakness. don't blame yourself." They were both blaming on each other and Magnus couldn't shake the feeling of terrified when he saw Alec on the floor. "We will start the transfusion immediately. You will be staying here for a while till you stable to go home okay." They both nodded and she left the room. Magnus got his legs on the bed lying down together with Alec. He put his arm under Alec's neck and lifted Alec's head on his chest. He took a deep breathe and let go relieving his Alexander is okay now. Alec rubbed his tummy while holding Magnus hands. "are the babies okay?" He looked up to look at Magnus face and he saw him nodded. He sighed in relief. Then his tummy started to kick making him jumped. "Owww, that hurts you guys." He sat up holding his stomach making Magnus sit too. "I think they're hungry. Its already 9pm. Want anything for dinner?" Alec looked at Magnus with wide eyes. "9PM??? How long was I out?" Magnus was surprised with Alec reaction and then he get out from bed grabbing his jacket. "What do you want to eat?" He asked when Alec lie back on bed. "Can I have pizza?" Magnus smiled and leaned forward close to Alec's face. "Are you sure you don't want anything else?" Their noses touched and Magnus rubbing it up and down. Alec smiled at him and kiss his lips. "Just you come back to me." Magnus smiled hearing Alec's idea. He kissed him again on the lips before went out the room.
