Chapter 8.
I wonder... Was Jade protecting me maybe?
"Can we move to our room now?" A chilling voice jolts me out of my thoughts. I look up and see Kim, Jess and Dawn- I mean Rebel. I've gotta stop doing that. I keep calling her the wrong name! Good thing I don't say it out loud though. I think to myself. Rebel starts to glare at me. She is about so speak when I see Kim hold her back.
"Not yet, girl. Too many people. Wait till we get to our room. Then do it." She says. I raise an eyebrow up in confusion, and open my mouth to say something until I see Melody walk into the room, scared of the three girls beside her.
"H-H-Hey, S-S-S-Sarah... Y-You feeling b-b-b-better? I h-h-h-h-h-hope you a-are..." Melody finishes. She flinches, and looks like she is ready for pain. Jess slowly starts to wallk towards her, her hair bouncing with her.
"Um, Mel... That was worse than we allow you to stutter. Remember? Only at least four stutters a word. You did five." She punches her in the arm hard. Melody scrunches her face up.
"O-Ow..." Melody says. I get out of the bed and march in between Melody and Jess. Rebels peircing blue eyes glare at me from afar. I try to ignore it.
"I don't know who you girls think you are, but you should know that Melody can't help what she does. If she stutters, then deal with it. She has to. Why can't you?" I say, feeling brave. Kim walks up to me and shoves me to the ground. I get up.
Well, that backfired.
"We will do what we want. You are not the boss of us. Now, please. Follow me. We're going upstairs. Now." Rebel commands. I almost protest until I feel a bruise on my back starting to form. This is gonna be harder then I thought.
☆~Time skip~☆
"... And those are our beds there." Rebel says. She points a pale finger towards three beds across the room. The middle one has black covers, sheets and pillows.
The one on the left is white and pink.
Finally, the one on the opposite side is a blonde-ish color with brown pillows.
"OK. And... Where are our beds?" I ask, looking around the big room. The walls are painted a navy blue color.
Rebel points to the other end of the room towards a door that separates the room into 2. We open the door, and see 2 twin sized beds. One bed has music notes on it, and the other has a zentangle design on it. These are actually... really nice! I think to myself.
"Oh, cool. Thanks." I put my bag on the zentangle one. Melody sits on the one next to it. I assume that the bed is hers, because I see a picture on her bedside table of her and a person taking a picture by the Bay Of Fundy.
Rebel and Jess walk over to me and Melody. Kim is noticeably absent.
"There's still one thing we need to discuss. It's rather pressing." Rebel says. She starts walking towards the wooden door. She beckons us to follow. We oblige.
When we walk into the room, I see Kim and Rebel smirking. Jess, once again, looks unamused.
Rebel pipes up.
"You are wondering... 'why does she keep glaring at me? Did I do something wrong?' You also keep thinking that my name is Dawn, when it's clearly Rebel."
What?! It's like she just read my mind! I quickly think to myself. I adjust the oxygen tube around my nose, trying to avoid Rebels mighty glare.
"Now you just said in your head 'What? It'd like she just read my mind!' Would I be wrong to say that?" She says, fake sweetness dripping from her sentence.
"No... You'd be correct to say that..." I say fearfully. Rebel smirks. She lifts two pale fingers towards me, turns her hand palm up and raises them.
"I can read minds. Not a joke. I can also do what I'm doing now. It's called powers, and only me, Kim and Jess have them." I look down and see that my feet are not touching the ground. She has powers that are holding me here.
"Put me down! Please!" I yelp. I'm scared of what she'll do next. She snickers.
"Oh, of course." She slams me down to the ground, my oxygen tank landing at her feet. she kicks it, and it flies out of the room, taking my breathing tubes with it. I gasp, or try to make a sound that sounds at least like a gasp.
"H-Hey! Y-Y-You can't d-do that!" Melody says, running out of the room to grab my tank. I hold my breath. That's what it's like trying to breathe without it, anyways.
"Look at her, Rebel! We can do anything to her while her oxygen is out. That's good to know that we can do anything." Melody happens to come back before I feel like im going to pass out. I quickly breathe in through my nose once the clear breathing tube is back in my nose where it belongs.
"Thanks..." I say, out of breath. She nods. Great. Now they know that they can do anything to me when I don't have my oxygen tank... What am I gonna do?
