Magicstar was thinking about what Blackfoot had told her a few days ago, she knew the quest was for her, but the rest confused her. What was the nine? She only knew of four clans, and if a clan can't face it than how could nine cats? She shook her head, and sighed, " Magicstar, could you lead the hunting patrol? " She looked up and saw thikletail, she nodded, " Sure. I need to get my mind off some things anyway. " She got up and went to where the rest of the patrol was, Skyheart, Graypaw, Darktail, and Jaypaw were waiting " We've been waiting for so long! " Hissed Darktail quietly, and Jaypaw bounced up, " My first hunt with the leader! " he squeaked, and Magicstar smiled, " Just hope it's not your last! " She meowed, hinting she was going to leave soon, she spread her wings and sprang, flying down, the others right on her tail, she landed right in the middle of the territory, and the rest flanked her, she heard the rustling of leaves and picked up the scent of starling, she instinctively dropped into the hunters crouch, and stalked closer, she leaped, and bit down on its neck, she breathed in the smell and than hid it in a bush.

She returned with her starling, two mice, and a vole, she put them down and saw the rest of the patrol had caught a lot, and than Jaypaw burst out of the bushes, and ran, stoping behind Magicstar, the shuffling of the bushes said he was not alone. An orange pelt burst out of the bushes and snarled, it was in mistakable, it was a fox.
