"I don't think we need to discuss anything."I disagreed trying hard to concentrate with him being so near.

His eyes narrowed."You  know very well that we need to discuss this Linda.I'm an alpha now and I don't want anyone knowing about us."

So he was embarrassed of I being his mate.What a jerk!

I closed my eyes for a second, I couldn't cry in front of a jerk like him.

"Do you love me or not Brad?"I demanded, even though I already knew the answer.

His eyes widened then narrowed."What do you know of love little girl?"he asked stressing on the words 'little girl' knowing just how much it annoyed me.

"I know that when you love someone you don't hide the fact that you're mates from them and you definitely don't treat them as bad as you have been treating me these past few years."I mumbled angrily.

"I guess that answers your question then."he snapped.

I gasped, I guess I already knew he would say that but actually hearing him broke my heart into tiny pieces.

Without wasting another second in his presence I pressed my hands against his chest and pushed him away from me.

I waited too long for this day to become a rejected mate!I couldn't be a rejected mate, I just couldn't!

I spun around to look at Brad one last time."You're going to regret this decision of yours.One day you'll want me and it will be too late."I threatened."And in case you haven't noticed I'm all grown up now, I'm no longer a little girl so don't call me that!"

Without another word I stomped off in the direction to my village,Brad Robins was going to be mines one way or another.

"Linda wait!"Aurora called after me.She grabbed my hands pulling me to a stop."What did he say to you?"she asked concerned.

"He doesn't want me."I said both angry and sad.

Her eyes widened."Linda I—"

"I already forgave you for not telling me that you knew Brad was my mate, I understand that you made a promise to your brother."I muttered already knowing that she was going to apologise.

She sighed."You can't  leave like this.You can't give up."she pressed.

"Who said anything about giving up."I said with a smirk.

"What do you mean?"she asked confused.

"I'm not letting Brad go.I don't know if you knew but I've loved Brad all these years without really knowing it until now.I'm not going to stop until he admits that he loves me too."

She smiled broadly."I should of guessed that my best friend wouldn't give up that easily."

"So what's your plan?"she inquired anxiously.

"Well first of all I'll show him that his words didn't affect me at all.Instead of leaving I'll stay for the after party and make life a living hell for him.Let's see if he doesn't notice me tonight."I muttered with a smile.

Aurora chuckled."I always knew that Brad would have a rough time when you found he was your mate."

"You  know me so well.Now let's get to your room, we have to make ourselves presentable for the party."I said with a wink.
