Demented
Ben's POV
Grace looked at me dead in the eyes. Her tawny eyes poisoning my veins, making them coil around my heart and squeeze. Squeeze until every last drop of love that I have ever felt was gone. She was so pale she was practically transparent, but I guess she was transparent. I could see right through her, she was a ghost. Not dead, just gone. Demented.
She inched closer to my paralyzed body. Sweat began dripping off my forehead. I wanted her to stop, I was a helpless lump on my sofa. I had to stop her. I attempted to call out her name, but nothing but silent whimpers emerged from my mouth.
She stopped. Her eyes softened. She gulped. "Help me..." Then she collapsed to the floor.
I felt the hold on my body being realized. I rushed over to her, cradled her in my arms. My tears falling from my cheeks to hers. I couldn't bare the sight of her lifeless body, yet I couldn't leave her. I picked her up and laid her down on the sofa covering her fragile body in a small charcoal blanket.
I knelt down beside her but a wave of darkness flushed over me.

Josh's POV
I was woken up to a smack to the face. I held my stinging, red cheek in my palm as I began to process what had just happened. Then I noticed him. Ben.
He was thrashing around, screaming painful cries. His eyes were red, stained with tears. He whimpered between his cries, he was terrified. I jumped off the sofa and rushed to Ben. I grabbed his shoulders, shaking him. I begged him to stop. I needed him to wake up.

Ben's POV
I shot up, breathing heavily, clutching for something to stable me. Josh. The first thing I grabbed was Josh. He instantly brought me into a hug. I kept weeping. I didn't care about dignity anymore, it was Josh, he wouldn't judge me. We sat there, clinging onto each other for dear life, in silence.
After I calmed down, I stood up and put my shoes on.
"Where are you going?" Josh asked concerned.
"Grace".
