nineteen.
The water gently ran along the water side of the city. The soothing sound enveloped the inside of the car. Pru sat in the backseat of the undercover car that was parked. Hailey and Pru watched from a far as Kim talked to her C.I. Kim had seemed to be getting annoyed with the girl as they talked. Pru watched on as she popped a few french fries into her mouth then sipped her drink.
"Are you sure you don't want to talk to me about anything?" Hailey spoke up as she glanced back at her sister.
"Hailey. You've been trying to dig for the past two days. If I had anything to tell you, I would." Pru said as she began to unwrap her burger.
"If you make a mess back there, you get to deal with Platt and Voight." Hailey commented which made her sister let out a light scoff.
"First of all, I'm not messy. I'm the one who cleans up after your aśs. Second. Trudy likes me and Hank has a soft spot for me." Pru said as she kept her eyes locked on Hailey and took a bite out of the burger. Hailey rolled her eyes before turning back around in her seat. Kim made her way back into the car with a big huff.
"She have anything good?" Hailey asked.
"No. I mean, some BS about her friend's boyfriend killing someone, dumping the body behind the Wyatts factory. She's just trying to buy more time because her month is almost up." Kim brushed off.
"I don't know, Kim... she seemed a bit upset." Pru trailed.
"Yeah, she's a good actor." Kim commented.
"Maybe. It might still be worth calling in though." Hailey sighed.
"No." Kim shook her head in disagreement.
"Does that mean you're cutting her off. No more time left?" Pru wondered, not following what Kim was deciding as her final choice.
"Well, you're not suppose to extend deals according to the book, so." Kim states and shrugged.
"It's my first C.I." Kim told the sisters.
"Yeah, the books not always right. Sometimes you gotta trust your gut." Hailey said as she started up the car.
"And since when did anyone ever follow all the rules in the book anyway?" Pru pointed out.

Hailey and Pru were walking down the stairs into the lobby when they caught sight of Kim at the front desk. She had a tray of coffee's and had just pulled a cup out for Trudy.
"Did I ever tell you that you're my favorite Intelligence member?" Trudy asked Kim as she took a sip of her coffee.
"Ouch. You wound me, Sarge." Pru held her hand to her chest as they approached the women by the desk.
"Correction. Second favorite intelligence member." Trudy told Kim which made Pru smile. Kim pulled two coffee cups out of the tray and handed them over to the two sisters and took the remaining one for herself.
"Thanks, Kim." Pru smiled and Hailey nodded.
"Hey, so did you make a decision on Sienna?" Hailey questioned.
"Yeah. She doesn't deliver, I'm going to file the charges. I gave her a chance and she blew it." Kim told Hailey as she began to sign papers.
"Oh, nice to see you toughen up. Don't let anyone take advantage." Trudy said as Kim smirked. Hailey took a few steps away to answer a call then walked back over to grab Kim and Pru.
"We gotta go." Hailey ushered them to the door.
"What? Why?" Kim asked.
"Homicide." Hailey responded as the three women headed out to the scene.

Trudging up the muddy hill, the three girls followed behind a uniformed officer. Hailey hadn't told them anything else other than it was a homicide. But when they got to the Wyatt factory Pru knew why they were there. Hailey decided to call it in on what Kim's C.I. had said just to be positive if it was indeed true or not.
"From what we could tell she was badly beaten. It's pretty gruesome." The officer explained.
"Yeah. Thanks for following up. Nice work." Hailey thanked him.
"It cost me 50 bucks." The guy said.
"Is that so?" Pru wondered.
"Yeah. Gave Winter's over here ten-to-one odds your snitch was talking crap." He chuckled.
"Her snitch." Hailey corrected as she pointed towards Kim.
"Hey, could you do me a favor and make the appropriate notification?" Hailey asked the two male officers who agreed.
"Thanks, guys." Pru said as they walked around the girls.
"Like I said, it was just a hunch. Sienna's story was a little too weird to be fake. I'm sorry if I overstepped." Hailey apologized to Kim.
"You did." Kim told her.
"Well. At least we know Sienna wasn't trying to play you." Pru shrugged, looking at the bright side to the situation as Kim nodded. Her eyes on the dead body that laid on the ground in front of them.
