Moons passed. Since the fire they've been fixing up camp so that they could live their again. The last gathering didn't go so well. Shadowclan attacked them only lost a few of our warriors. Her apprentice was hollypaw pollenfoot was getting old. Roseheart ' s kits grew every day. She noticed that she's having Raggedleaf ' s kits. She was visiting him tonight to tell him the news.

She felt the breeze of the forest as she made her way towards their meeting place.

"Leafbreeze. You told me you had great news. What is it?" Raggedleaf murmured

" I'm having your kits." She purred.

Raggedleaf stood their for a moment then his eyes gleamed.

" I'm going to be a father!" Raggedleaf purred. Brushing against her. Entwining tails. She purred.

"No one can know though. And you won't be able to see them." She murmured.

" I could join thunderclan." Raggedleaf meowed.

" No your deputy of windclan aren't you? Adderstar is expecting you to be beside him." She murmured.

" then you can be here please." Raggedleaf meowed.

" I have a duty to my own clan as well. We can't be in the same clan. But our kits can be in one or the other." She meowed. Sadness clouded her eyes.

" they can't be in two different clans." Raggedleaf meowed.

"It'll have to be that way if you want a part of me." She whispered.

Raggedleaf shook his head but they said nothing else. They sat there in
Silence.

She looked up at the stars. Her mother and Sootpaw were watching her.

Help me make this decision. I can't do this on my own! She thought.

It was dawn someone woke her. It was sparkfur.

" Ravenstar wants to see you." Sparkfur murmured.

She nodded. She heaved herself up out of her nest. She entered the clearing and saw Ravenstar waiting at the camp entrance.

" Come leafbreeze let's take a walk. It might do you some good to stretch your legs." Ravenstar meowed.

She nodded and followed her leader out of camp.

" as you know Pollenfoot is dieing. I want you to be my next deputy. I can choose from other warriors but I've chosen you. As my deputy. This is my final request." Ravenstar meowed.

" Why me? Their are other experienced warriors like lionblaze and wavefern." She meowed

" I know. But it's always best to pick the least experienced warrior. Because they have long ways to go. Younger warriors these days are smart and strong witted. I'm sure you're the same." Ravenstar meowed.

They walked on in the forest a slow pace.

" But I'm not ready." She murmured.

" I could always choose Twilightwing. The one you fear. I can see it he watches you everyday. Like a hawk waiting to get his prey. But I know you have a decision to make yourself. Your kits they're have windclan half thunderclan aren't they?" The thunderclan leader had stopped walking and stared at her sternly.

" Yes they're my kits and Raggedleaf ' s I can't give them up. I don't want to." She murmured. Sadness in her eyes.

" You've made your own choice to be with him. And now your kits lives are at risk. It's either you or Twilightwing." Ravenstar murmured. She watched her leader go. She layed down and grieved.

I can't give them up. I certainly can't run from this. Twilightwing would become leader if I leave thunderclan. Pollenfoot is dieing and if I don't make a decision fast Twilightwing will be leader and he will ruin thunderclan. I cannot let that happen. I must give up my kits. It's the only way.

Once she entered camp Rainleaf greeted her.

"I was a bit worried about you." Rainleaf murmured.

" I'm going off warrior duties and moving to the nursery." She meowed and she glanced at Twilightwing who's eyes gleamed in the shadows of the den.

" What? The nursery? But you cant! Your one of our best warriors! What of we need you again?" Rainleaf meowed.

" I'm having kits." Leafbreeze meowed.

Rainleaf gave in and took her off warrior duties. She went to the nursery greeted by the queens.

"Leafbreeze! You could've told me you're having kits! Oh I'm so happy for you!" Halfmoon purred.

Halfmoon moved into the nursery a moon ago having lionsong ' s kits.

Jaywing entered.

"Whose kits are you having?" Jaywing asked.

" I can't say." She murmured. Jaywing ' s ear twitched. She looked up and she nodded.

It seem as if medicine cats know everything. It's because of the power of starclan And healing. She thought.

Jaywing padded near her and put his paw on top of her stomach.

" Three kits..." Jaywing murmured.

Three?

" will they survive?" Leafbreeze asked

" I don't know. Only starclan knows." Jaywing murmured and he gave her herbs for the milk to come.

Jaywing left. She hasn't had a dream from the dark forest since. Sparkfur stayed in the nursery. Twilightwing came to visit Sparkfur in the nursery. He glared at her.

Sparkfur doesn't know who her mate really is. She thought.

"Leafbreeze are you doing alright?" Halfmoon asked

"Yeah I'm fine how are you?" She asked. Still staring at Twilightwing.

" I'm great. The kits don't come till next moon." Halfmoon purred.

"I'm sorry about your name. I really hate that name." Leafbreeze meowed. Sadness in her eyes as she met her sisters eyes.

" Leafbreeze, I accepted the name changing ceremony and I accept my name. So Halfmoon is my name. Not Seedpaw." Halfmoon meowed.

"I know. I'm sorry." She sighed. Her sister brushed against her.

"Leafbreeze may I have a word with you?" Twilightwing asked. Halfmoon glanced up at her.

" of course." Leafbreeze meowed.

She followed Twilightwing out of the nursery and into a private place.

" you know what will happen if pollenfoot dies right?" Twilightwing growled.

"Yes I know. But if I give up my kits to become deputy I'll never forgive myself." Leafbreeze meowed.

"Well you know you have a choice. Either give up your kits or don't become deputy at all." Twilightwing growled.

She glared at him but just went away.

"You can't walk away from this! Because If those kits stay I'll become deputy and if you run I'll still become deputy!" Twilightwing called. She ignored him and went to the nursery.

Please starclan help me. Leafbreeze prayed that she will make the right choice. She doesn't want her kits to be seperated.

But she could have one. That she can't have.
