Chapter Five
I gazed into my sky blue eyes, through the reflection of my window. I watched the rain drizzle onto my window, noticing Ty was still out. It should be very cold, why is he still out? I yawned, tears foaming in my eyes. I wanted to sleep, yet wanted to be the night guard. I settled down onto my bed, gaping another yawn. I closed my eyes, watching the glittering stars. I closed my eyes, darkness washing over me.

A huge gust of wind blasted into my face, as I sat up from my bed, alarmed. I could hear dreadful screams, my heart beating fast. I quickly got out of bed, and opened the door. I gave my window a quick glance to see...something in the distance. What was that!? I opened Barney's door...I'm not sure why, and woke him up.
"Barney! I think we're having another tornado!" I shrieked with fear. Before he could reply, the tornado broke the walls, and whipped him up. He recoiled with dread, as he was in mid air.
"Barney!" I wailed.
"What is it!?"
I jumped out of bed, face to face with Barney. I sighed with relief.
"Just a bad dream." I mumbled. He rolled his eyes and stormed out of my room. I was still shaking from the nightmare.
Why would I have that dream? Is someone angry with me?
I shook my head, trying to not be bothered. I picked up my sword and shoved it in my belt, and walked downstairs for breakfast.
"Sky!" Aphmau's voice sounded. I looked up at her and knelt before her.
"Yes, my queen?" I asked. Suddenly, her face twisted with fear.
"J-Jin's very sick. It's the Aken sickness." I nearly choked on my spit.
"What!? The Aken sickness! He will die if he doesn't have the..." Aphmau nodded, her eyes boring into his.
"The Flare Potion." She said. "And I need you and Barney to go get it for him." Shock rippled through me.
"I am glad too! But..." Suddenly Barney came out of the shadows and knelt before her.
"Uh, my queen, I don't want Sky to come along." She glared at us.
"I chose you two, because you never work together. Now you will!" I growled angrily, but we get to go on an adventure.
"To get the Flare Potion, you must kill the purple dragon, to get the scale. Once you have it, returned to the castle, and I'll let Seto do the rest. He's the sorcerer." We nodded.Thrill and excitement sparked in me, but still concerned for our king. I gave Barney a dangerous glare, and sniffed in the air. I think Aphmau saw.
"I don't want you two to act like children! Grow up! You leave at dawn. Go train your apprentices now!" I spotted Barney flinch quickly, as he got up, and crossed each other. I grabbed my training shield. I will train Brotato how to use a shield. I, next to the castle.sprinted outside, crossing the oak bridge, listening to it creek. The currents curled, as they splashed onto the sandy bank. I found Brotato's shadow under an apple tree.
"Sky!" He called, excitement flashing in his eyes. I grinned, and rushed by his side, shoving the sword in his hands.
"You will learn how to use this." I told him. He looked up at me.
"Really!? Cool!" He picked up the sword, slipping his hand around in the handle.
"But, before we train...I have to tell you something." I began. "I will go on an adventure with Barney...to find the Flare Potion for our king." Brotato's eyes went wide.
"What? That's dangerous!" I nodded.
"I promise, Barney and I will come back." I soothed. He frowned.
"I want to come!" He begged, but I shook my head slowly.
"Sorry, but you're too young." He growled, with rage.
"But, who will train me!?" He fretted. I shrugged.
"The queen will assign you and Kyle another while you're gone."
"Okay." He replied bluntly. He seemed fearful for me. I felt my heart glow.
"I will come back, uninjured." I told him. But I was lying. I don't know what could happen to me. He thought that too.
"Sure." He sighed, picking up the sword. Sympathy pulsed through my chest, but I couldn't do anything.
