Lance wakes up in his bedroom and as he looks at the calendar, he feels sad and says "Mother's Day. Time to pick the flowers" Lance takes a shower, brushes his teeth and puts on his clothes as Coran asks "So, it's Mother's Day I assume?" Lance replies "Sadly yes, Uncle Coran. I'm gonna get the flowers for her" Coran sadly says "Your mother always loved those flowers before she died. Now so do you, Lance" Lance sadly agrees "Yeah, the Juniberries are in full bloom so I better set up a bouquet for Mama" Coran asks "Do you want me to go with you like always?" Lance replies "No, if you don't mind I'd like to go alone this time" Coran says "I understand" Lance leaves to go to the garden to pick the Juniberries, creates a bouquet as he hears someone say "Lance, I didn't know you were into gardening"

Lance turns around and sees Keith with the cubs and says "Yeah, I always love planting flowers and not just vegetables and fruit trees but I also loved planting my mother's favorite flowers. They're Juniberries" Keith agrees "The Juniberries were Allura's favorite flowers. I remember when she was pregnant with the cubs, she started craving for them and every time I bring her some, she starts eating them like a wild animal" Lance giggles "Well, that's what happens when you feed a pregnant woman's cravings " Keith chuckles "I can't help it. I'm a devoted mate to her and devoted father to my cubs" the cubs run toward Lance, hug him and say "Happy Mother's Day, Lance" Lance hugs them back and says "Happy Mother's Day to you too, little ones. I hope you had a good night" Akira says "Yeah and we even loved the stories you told us" Isamu asks "Can you read them again?" Lance replies "Only before your bedtime" Fala says "That's okay" Keith asks "So, where are you going, Lance?"

Lance replies "I'm taking the flowers to my mother's grave like I do every year. It's something of a family/holiday tradition and usually on Mother's Day, you give your mother cards and flowers but since my mother died, I figured I'd stick with the flowers instead of a card" Keith asks "Is it all right if the cubs and I tag along? They have a surprise for you and worked very hard on it" Amue only moans in agreement as Lance replies "I don't see why not and I would to see what the surprise looks like" and when Lance brings in Red and Blue, Keith asks "Lance, are you sure it's okay? I don't ride horses" Lance replies "Nobody said anything about riding, I'm only bringing in the cart for you and the cubs to ride in while I do the driving" Keith smiles and says "That's a great idea, Lance and even quick thinking" the cubs beam "Yay" and hop into the cart as Keith follows along

Lance gets in the front of the cart and as Red and Blue start moving, Lance gives Keith a blanket and says "Here you go, you'll need it to keep yourselves warm" Keith takes the blanket, wraps it around himself and the cubs as he says "Thank you, Lane" Lance agrees "It gets cold when I go back to the old cottage"  Lance puts on his cloak in order to shield himself from the cold and while they arrive at the old cottage, Lance hops off the cart and says "We're there" Keith carries his cubs in his arms and hops off the cart as Keith asks "This is where you used to live?" Lance replies "I've lived there since I was born until I ran away when I was eight" Keith sees two graves and asks "Are these their graves?" Lance replies "Yeah, this is where Coran and I buried them when we found them. We only found my mother's skeleton and my father's corpse so we had to give them a proper burial"

Keith feels sorry for Lance and says "I'm sorry for your loss, Lance. I lost my father too when the humans killed him and I only have my mother left to take care of me" Lance says "I know, she told me but it's okay to hear that from you too" Lance walks towards the graves, kneels down and places the bouquet in front of his mother's grave and says "Hola Mama, I just wanted to tell you "Happy Mother's Day" and wanted to give you these flowers because I knew you loved them and you knew I loved them too. Anyways, I met a hybrid wolf named Keith and he's grown into a bigger, cooler, grizzled man with four cubs but their mother has completed her journey in the circle of life like you always say about those who died. Now you and Papa have completed your journeys in the circle of life, I still remember you both now that you live in me and I hope you always will" Lance turns toward Keith and asks "Keith, would you like to say "Hello" to my parents?" Keith replies "Of course, Lance"

Keith walks towards the graves, kneels down next to Lance says "Hi, Mr. and Mrs. McClain, my name is Keith and I'm sure you already know that but believe it or not, your son and I have been childhood friends for twelve years and seeing him again was the best thing that ever happened to me. You raised a good, honest and kindhearted son and for that, I thank you for giving him a reason to live" Lance smiles and says "That's very sweet of you, Keith. Thank you" Keith smiles and says "You're welcome, Lance and thank you for introducing me to your parents. I wish I got to know them sooner" Lance says "Me too but I'm glad I got to know your mother and it's a good thing she trusts me" Keith agrees "Yes and I only wish my brother could warm up to you like your uncle and friends warmed up to me. Oh, I almost forgot. The little ones have a surprise for you" and when Lance asks "Well, what is it?"

The cubs walk toward Lance and show him plush versions of himself, Keith and themselves as the three cubs say "Happy Mother's Day, Lance" Amue only moans in agreement while Lance is surprised at this but also sad as he says "No, I don't accept this" Akira asks "Why not? You don't like it?" Lance replies "No, I do but it's just that I'm not your mother, I can't be your mother and I don't wanna replace her either" Isamu says "But you take care of us like one" Lance sighs "I know but" Fala interrupts "You tuck us in, tell us bedtime stories and even feed us like Mommy did and I know our mommy's gone but you're still here so that still counts" Amue only moans in agreement while Lance is surprised as Keith smiles and says "Just accept the gift, Lance. The cubs have spoken" Lance smiles and says "Thank you so much, little ones. I love it" the cubs smile and hug Lance as Keith does the same while Lance hugs them back knowing that he's surrounded by a family that treats like him like a part of it
