Chapter 2
Keith thought of how Lotor cast away his ring, he who had so little in the world so their hands might touch again and Keith's heart was moved. Thus did the other young boy, who hoped to steal a jewel, steal something far more precious. Lotor was in the forest with a new friend. Her name was Allura and she was just Keith's age as Lotor yells "Keith! Keith" Allura asks "Are you sure he's here?" Lotor replied "You know I wouldn't lie to you" that's when the sound of wings flapping caught their attention and they saw Keith who smiles and says "After all these weeks, look who came back" Lotor states "I thought it was worth the risk" Keith sees Allura and asks "And who are you?" Allura replies "I'm Allura, Princess of the Kingdom of Altea and Lotor's friend" and when she asks "So what do you do for fun?" Allura's answer was Keith flying over s small stream with Allura and Lotor holding onto his feet while they're all yelling and screaming in delight
Lotor, Allura and Keith became the most unlikely of friends. Keith and Allura kneel down on the grass as a small deer approaches and Keith wraps her arm around Allura and cups his hand over hers, extending it towards the deer as Keith says "And you let him come to you" the deer slowly approaches Allura and began to eat the food that was in her hand as Keith smiles and says "He likes you" and for a time, it seemed as if, in them at least, the old hatred between men and fairies had been forgotten. As the years passed, the close friendship between Keith and Allura slowly turned into something else. One his 16th birthday, Allura gave Keith a gift. She called it "True Love's Kiss" but it was not to be. As the years passed, Lotor's ambition pulled him and Allura away from Keith, towards the temptations of the human kingdom. Keith, the strongest of the fairies, rose to become the protector of the Moors
Keith is 21 years old and he was very happy with his life at the Moors as he flies high above the clouds. Keith curls his wings around his body and twisted upwards like a tornado until he spreads his wings out and looks down at his home then he took a moment to close his eyes and let the sunlight shine on his body, illuminating his face and wings. Keith often wondered alone and sometimes wondered where Lotor and Allura might be. For Keith had never understood the greed and envy of the humans but he was to learn. For the human king, Zarkon, had heard of a growing power in the Moors and sought to strike it down. Keith was lying in his nest up in the giant tree on the cliff but he saw something that can only mean one thing. Humans and they were here for the Moors so Keith flies down to do his job
Zarkon and his army arrive at the Moors. he was sitting on his armor covered horse as Zarkon shouts "There they are! The mysterious Moors that no one dares to venture for fear of the magical creatures that lurk within! Well, I say crush them" Zarkon's army cheers for him until they hear the sound of wings flapping and see Keith standing far away from them and in front of them as Keith yells "Go no further" Zarkon scoffs "A King does not take orders from a winged elf" Keith sneers "You are no King to me" Zarkon looks at one of his soliders and orders "Bring me his head" Keith shouts "Arise and stand with me" that's when the ground starts shaking causing the soldiers to panic when suddenly, several tree creatures burst of the ground while carrying spears and hammers and they were also riding on top of giant hogs. A giant serpent made of vines and branches emerges from the ground and shrieks loudly as the soldier yells "Charge" the solider run toward the Moors and Keith's army charges as well while Keith flies forward and he uses his wings to knock the soldiers off their horses. His army easily managed to trample and crush anyone who got in their way as Keith angrily flies towards Zarkon and yells "You" Keith knocks the King off his horse as Keith lands on the ground and shouts "You will not have the Moors! Not now nor ever" Zarkon places his hand on Keith's collarbone causing Keith to hiss and back away
Keith sees a huge burn mark on his body that quickly healed itself while he sees Zarkon and his army retreat which meant that Keith won the battle. One of the tree creatures came up to him and bowed his head to him. Keith looks up and bows his head back the tree creature in a way of saying "Thank you"
